Roth Touchline® SL room thermostat, IR
-
Avoid placing the thermostat in the places shown in the drawing, as this will result in incorrect measurement of the temperature in the room.
-
It is important that the IR sensors measure area have a clear view of the entire floor surface and measure directly on the floor.
-
If there are obstructions that block the clear view of the IR sensor, the measured area can be reduced by placing the thermostat at a lower height. Multiply the height with the factor 0,6 (ex. height 130 x 0,6 = Ø 78 cm) to calculate the new measured area. This will give a more accurate reading of the floor temperature.
-
Push lightly on the snap lock with a finger or screwdriver (if mounted on the wall) to slide the backplate of the thermostat.
-
The batteries are already installed, just remove the plastic strip to activate the thermostat.
-
Mount the backplate on the wall (screws not incl.) the thermostat slides onto the back plate.
-
The thermostat can be connected to all Controllers in the new generation Roth Touchline® SL series. Pairing/registering is made the same way on all Controllers using the same buttons. On the pictures the panel of the Roth Touchline® SL Controller, master is show
-
Pairing/registering the thermostat to a zone (channel). All connections must be made to the Controller (pump, actuators and optional potential free relay) before start-up. Please see controller manual for details. Attention! Do not press the buttons on the front of the thermostat whilst push-ing the pairing button on the rear (see picture 12).
-
The thermostat’s built-in IR floor sensor must be registered as shown below in steps 15 – 23. Push briefly twice in step 22.
-
Operation/setting of the floor sensor is carried out on the display of the Controller. Follow the steps 24 – 31 for setting of the operation mode ”Comfort” and min./max. temperature. There should be a minimum 2°C between min./max. to avoid fluctuation.
-
Press EXIT several times to get back to the main screen. Here you will see the connection of the room thermostat with the floor sensor on the selected zone. Press EXIT once and choose “Zone” view, confirm with MENU and press EXIT.
