Description
purpose of use
- Powerful battery-powered grass trimmer/brushcutter with handles Extol® Industrial powered by two 20 V batteries of the Extol® SHARE 20 V program is intended for trimming low grass with the trimmer line and for cutting taller grass or dry grass, tall nettles and bushes and vegetation with a trunk diameter of up to 4 cm. It is possible to also trim wet grass, however, the head should not be submerged in water because it contains the motor. Thanks to the innovative integration of a compact yet powerful brushless” motor inside the trimming head itself, it is not necessary to transfer the rotation motion through the entire body of the trimmer using rotating Bowden lines, instead a simple electrical cable passes through the body of the trimmer. This makes the grass trimmer light, and quiet and it generates low vibrations.
- The grass trimmer is guided during work using the two front handles and thanks to perfect balancing and carrying load placed on the shoulder strap, the user simply moves the grass trimmer from side to side.
- The control buttons are located on one handle with the option of setting three rotation speeds corresponding to the vegetation being trimmed/cut.
- The speed is controlled within the scope of the set speed level by the degree to which the trigger switch is pressed.
- Extending the trimmer line to the required length is semi-automatic – tapping the push-down center part of the head against the ground while it is rotating will extend the trimmer line.
- The battery-powered grass trimmer/brushcutter is equipped with a button and LED indicators for determining the charge level on each battery.
- Brushless motor- i.e. a motor without carbon brushes provides more power output with lower power consumption for longer battery life and also has a longer lifespan.
- The absence of a power cord provides freedom of movement when working with the grass trimmer.
- The battery-powered grass trimmer is part of the SHARE 20 V cordless power tool range that is powered using the same battery.
- The variant with part number Extol® Premium 8791900 is supplied with Li-ion batteries 2× 2000 mAh 20 V (part no.: 8891881) and charger 2× 3.5 A (part no.: 8891894).
- The version with the part number Extol® Premium 8791901 is supplied without a battery and without a charger at a lower purchase price for the situation where the user has already purchased the battery and charger with another cordless power tool from the SHARE 20 V cordless product range. It is possible to use various combinations of SHARE 20 V batteries with various capacities (e.g. 2,000 mAh with 4,000 mAh) for powering the battery-powered grass trimmer.
BATTERIES AND CHARGERS
BATTERIES AND CHARGERS FOR THE SHARE 20 V PRODUCT RANGE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE (OPTIONAL)
BATTERIES FOR THE SHARE 20V CORDLESS POWER TOOL RANGE
- Li-ion batteries from the SHARE 20 V range are of very high quality with a long lifetime and are intended for demanding work with cordless power tools.
- To ensure long-term high performance (lifetime) of batteries from the SHARE 20 V cordless program, unlike cheap Li-ion batteries, they contain a range of protective functions controlled using complex control electronics that are integrated directly inside the battery itself.
These functions include, for example:
- carefully controlled charging process (gentle controlled ramp-up of the charging voltage and current, over-current and over-voltage protection, over-charging protection, charging process shut-off).
- overload protection (against excessive current draw caused by excessive load on the power tool).
- protection against overload at low or high temperatures – battery capacity and performance of the power tool naturally decline at low or high temperatures (battery operating temperature is -10° to +40°C).
- continuous monitoring and assessment of temperature, voltage, and input/output current.
- sleep mode – during the inactivity of the power tool, the battery goes into sleep mode to minimize self-discharge; when the power tool is started, the battery switches to operating mode.
- sub-threshold discharge protection (discharging of the battery below a certain threshold, which is damaging for the battery, the supply of current is shut off at the threshold discharge level).
- the SHARE 20 V battery meets the technical requirements of norms: EN 62841; EN 62133; UN 38.3
- Thanks to the very slow self-discharge of the Li-ion battery, the battery remains ready for use even long after it has been charged.
- Furthermore, the Li-ion battery can be recharged at any time, regardless of its charge level without reducing its capacity.
Technical specifications
- The declared aggregate vibration value and the declared noise emission level were measured in accordance with standard testing methodology and may be used for the comparison of one tool with another.
- The declared aggregate vibration value and the declared noise emission level may also be used for determining preliminary exposure.
- WARNING Vibration and noise emissions during actual use of the power tool may differ from the declared values depending on the method in which the power tool is used, particularly the type of workpiece that is being worked on.
- It is necessary to determine the safety measurement for the protection of the operator, which is based on the assessment of exposure under real operating conditions (to include all the parts of the work cycle such as the time for which the power tool is turned off and when running idle outside the time that it is in operation).
