OPERATION
Before Use
Once the following settings are configured, the pencil is ready for use.
- Ensure your iPad’s operating system is version 12.2 or higher.
- Navigate to Settings > Apple Pencil and turn off ‘Only Draw with Apple Pencil.’
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth and disconnect any original Apple Pencil.
Charging
- Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the pencil, and the other end to a power adapter (not provided).
- The indicator will flash during charging.
Powering On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the button on the top of the pencil until the indicator illuminates. The pencil is now ready for use.
- To power off, press and hold the button on the top of the pencil until the indicator turns off.
- The pencil can be used continuously for approximately to 7-8 hours. After 5 minutes of inactivity, it will enter smart sleep mode.
Connect to Find My
- Open the ‘Find My’ app.
- Tap ‘Identify Found Item’.
- Connect to ‘XPen’.
- View location information after successful connection.
Using Find My
- Activate: Press and hold for 5 seconds until you hear a beep. You can also activate it by searching when the power is off.
- Deactivate: Press and hold for 10 seconds until you hear a beep.
- Reset: Press and hold for 20 seconds until you hear a beep.
Magnetic Attachment
The pencil has a magnetic adsorption feature, allowing it to attach easily to
your iPad, similar to the Apple Pencil.
Attaching/Detaching the Nib
The pen head is detachable and easy to replace. Simply twist the pen tip to
detach or attach.
