Installation Steps:

  1. Mount the TANGO2 Turn Signal kit module under the dashboard or in the hood area.
  2. Secure the module to a panel using screws or zip tie it to a harness.
  3. Insert the TANGO2 turn signal rocker switch into a suitable mounting location.

SWITCH Works TANGO2 Can Am Defender Turn Signal Kit Wiring Diagram

TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION

  • Phillips Screw Driver
  • Drill
  • 3/4” Hole Saw
  1. The TANGO2 Turn Signal kit module can be mounted under the dashboard or in the hood area.

  2. Locate a suitable mounting location for the TANGO2 Turn Signal module. Secure the module to a panel using screws or zip tie it to a harness.

  3. Use a vacant rocker switch mounting slot and insert the TANGO2 turn signal rocker switch. Run the cable towards the TANGO2 brain module.

  4. Plug in the controller cable, front turn signal extension cables (B-H2959) and rear turn signal harness (B-H3112) to the TANGO2 main harness (B-H3271).

  5. Route the front left and right turn signal extension cables to the front of the vehicle. Make sure to route the correct cable connector end that will plug to the LED lamp. Run the Horn power wires to the desired horn location.

  6. Run the TANGO2 rear turn signal harness (B-H3205) to the rear of the vehicle. Use zip ties to secure the cable away from any moving parts or exhaust pipes.

  7. Drill a 3/4” hole in the front of the vehicle for the front turn signal LED lamp. Refer to the viewing angle diagram on page 7 for proper turn signal LED lamp placement.

  8. Insert the LED turn signal lamp into the hole and push in to lock in place. Repeat steps G and H for the other side.

  9. Connect the front turn signal extension harness to the LED lamp.

  10. Mount the supplied bracket to the horn. Run the horn cable towards the desired horn mounting location.

  11. Horn mounting recommendations:

  12. Mount away from moving parts;

  13. Mount as high as possible;

  14. Mount with the horn facing downward to protect from water damage.
    Plug in the horn power wires. Either wire can connect to either terminal.

  15. Run the Defender Rear Turn Signal Harness (B-H3112) to the rear of the vehicle. Begin installation on the passenger side tail light. Unplug the passenger tail light connector. See wiring image below for the passenger-side connections.

  16. Unplug the factory Defender tail light connector and plug it in to the Defender TS Adapter (B-H3122) “PASS INPUT”.

  17. Plug the Defender TS Adapter (B-H3122) “PASS INPUT” to the “PASS INPUT” connector of the B-H3112 harness.

  18. Plug the B-H3112 harness “PASS OUTPUT” connector to the other Defender TS Adapter (B-H3122) “PASS OUTPUT”.

  19. Plug the Defender TS Adapter (B-H3122) “PASS OUTPUT” connector to the tail light.

  20. Run the “LIC. PLATE” connector towards the license plate location. Use zip ties to secure the cable away from any moving parts or the exhaust pipe.

  21. Run the “DRIVER OUTPUT” of the B-H3112 harness to the driver side tail light. Unplug the factory tail light connector and plug in the provided dummy plug to protect it from the elements.

  22. Plug in the Defender TS Adapter (B-H3122) to the B-H3112 “DRIVER OUTPUT” connector and plug the other end to the tail light. Use zip ties to secure the harnesses.

  23. Crimp the ring terminals to the Power Input Harness (B-H3413).

  24. Plug the 3-pin connector of the Power Input Harnes (B-H3413) to the Defender Turn Signal Main harness (B-H3271).

  25. Run the BATT, ACC and GND wires of the Power Input Harness (B-H3413) to the factory busbar and screw in the ring terminals to the corresponding battery, accessory and ground studs.

TURN SIGNAL ROCKER SWITCH FUNCTIONS

  • 1 Momentary Press = Horn Button

  • 2 Momentary Press = Left turn signal with 8-flash auto turn off
    Press and Hold (1 sec) = Left turn signal continuous flashing / Press again to turn off

  • 3 Momentary Press = Right turn signal with 8-flash auto turn off
    Press and Hold (1 sec) = Right turn signal continuous flashing / Press again to turn off

  • 2+3 Press and Hold = Hazard lights (also works with ACC off)

LED BACK LIGHT COLOR CHANGE

With ACC off, press and hold either the left or right button for 4 seconds until the rocker switch backlight turns bright. Use the left and right buttons to select the color. Press the horn button to save the color.
