SSV WORKS MRB3 Bluetooth Media Controller
SAFETY INFORMATION
Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the MRB3 yourself. Please call SSV Works for technical assistance or repair information. Changes or modifications to the MRB3 not authorized by SSV Works will void the warranty.A SSV Works recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before beginning any installation.

GENERAL OPERATIONS
- Power On/Off: Press ►II to power on. Press and hold ►II to power off.
- Volume: Press the VOL(+) or(·) button to increase or decrease the volume.
- Mute On/Off: Press ►II briefly to mute the sound. Press. ►II again to unmute the sound.
- Mode Sources: Press the MODE button to switch between AUX, FM, AM, and Bluetooth (BT MUSIC).
- Mode Settings (BassjTreble/Balance/Fader/EQ/Loudness): Press the MODE button for 2 seconds and then press the button until the function you want is shown on the display. Press VOL(+)(·) to change the settings of the menu item displayed.
- Bass (BAS)/Treble (TRE): Press the VOL(+) or(·) button to adjust Bass & Treble.
- Balance (BAL): Press VOL(+) or(·) to adjust balance (sound distribution between the right and left speakers).
- Fader (FAD): Press VOL(+) or(·) to adjust sound distribution between the front and rear speakers.
- Equalizer (EQ): Press VOL(+) or (·) to select one of the EQ options: OFF, FLAT, CLASS, POP, ROCK, JAZZ, METAL. The equalizer will be disabled if EQ OFF is set. The equalizer setting is shown at the bottom of the display.
- Loudness (LOUD): Press VOL(+) or(·) (LOUD ON) or to disable the function (LOUD OFF). When the loudness function is on, LOUD is shown on the right of the display.
- Select USA/Europe Area Frequencies (AREA): Press VOL(+) or(·) to select Radio Region (USA/ Europe Frequencies).
RADIO FUNCTIONS
Selecting FM/ AM Band: Press MODE until the FM or AM band shows on the
display. Automatic Station Search: Press A or o start the automatic station
search. The search stops when a station is found. Manual Station Search: Press
and hold A or until M – SEEK. Press the A or briefly to change the frequency
until the desired frequency is set. Change to Automatic search (A- SEEK) mode
after a station is found.
BLUETOOTH AUDIO STREAMING
- Open the Bluetooth setup program on the mobile device and activate the Bluetooth feature
- The device will show up as “SSV”. Select this device and enter passkey: 0000
- After successfully pairing, a Bluetooth logo will appear on the phone menu screen and show “CONNECT” “BT MUSIC” on the device’s LCD display. Stop Playback: Press ►II briefly to pause the music. Press ►II button again to continue playback. Skip Track: Press A or to play the previous/ next song.
CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL AUDIO DEVICE (OPTIONAL)
Press MODE until AUX shows on the display.

Tool Needed For Installation
- Panel Removal Tool
- 10mm wrench
- 5mm alien key
- T20, T30 torx
- #1 Phillips screwdriver
- Drill & 1/8″ 5/16″ drill bits
- Scribe or marker
- Compress the locking tabs to the hood and slide the hood down simultaneously to release the hood and remove it. Use a 10mm socket to disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- C. Open the front storage compartment, and remove the (4) push pins and (2) T20 Torx screws.Slide back to the fuel door. Remove the (4) push pins that are now exposed.
- Pull the driver and passenger side panels off the Ryker.
- Using a panel tool, release the clips for the trim panel from the storage compartment.
- Once the fairing panel has been released, lift the front storage compartment and disconnect the USB charging port. Set the compartment aside for future steps.
- Fasten the RKR-2K mounting brackets to the front of the gauge cluster mount. With (2) 5mm alien screws on each side. Note the orientation of the mounting bases.
- I. Align the RKR-2K over the mounting bases. Fasten the RKR-2K to the mounting brackets with the provided (4) M6x1.0x12mm torx screws and (4) MG washers using a T30 Torx driver.
- Unscrew the nut from the USB charging port and remove the charging port.
- Place the USB charging port into the front of the MRB3 mounting plate and refasten the nut.
- Seat the MRB3 brain assembly into the storage container. Verify that it is not pinching any of its harness’. MRB3 brain will make contact with the top of the compartment. Mark with a scribe or permanent marker the mounting points of the MRB3 bracket.
- Remove the MRB3 brain assembly from the storage container and drill a pilot hole with a 1/8″ drill bit at each marked point. Open up each pilot hole with a 5/16″ drill bit.
- To route, the harness from the RKR-2K to the MRB3 brain, pull the harnesses from the RKR-2K back around the upper fairing panel and to the front of the fairing panel. We recommend turning your handlebars to the right to allow for the most clearance for routing the cables.
- Tuck the harness from the RKR-2K with the factory harnesses in the faring panel.
- Connect the RKR-2K spade connectors to the factory power and ground that were disconnected from the factory USB port in Step G.
- Seat the cable ._grommet into the former location of the factory USB port.
- Route the RKR-2K cables into the storage compartment through the grommet.
- Connect the factory USB port to the power ground. Reference the back of the USB port to identify which terminal is power or ground.
- Connect the antenna.
- Connect the MRB3 front speaker output to the RKR-2K input.
- Align the arrows on the wire control panel with the arrow on the MRB3 controller connector and connect.
- Connect the MRB3 power connector to the RKR-2K power output
- Place the now connected MRB3 brain in its mounting position over the holes drilled in Step L.
- From the exterior of the storage compartment, place (2) push pins on each side to mount the MRB3 in place.
- Place the storage compartment back into its cavity.
- Hold the center cover onto the front of the RKR-2K, faster”n the (2) M3 machine screws into the system to retain the cover.
- Support the top of the center cover of the system and fasten the (2) #4 coarse threaded screws to into the unit to complete cover installation. Test the system prior to reassembly of the vehicle.
