Dome Cleaning Instructions
Clean your dome cameras regularly to maintain clear images and ensure the accuracy of video analytics.
- Attach CT1 dome cleaning assembly to a 5/8 threaded pole.
- Slide the cleaning microfibre cloth over the metal piece and tighten the drawstring.
- Apply a small amount of lens cleaning solution to the cloth.
- Gently press the assembly against the dome and move it in a circular motion to clean.
- Wash the cleaning cloth in clean soapy water to remove dirt.
- Repeat cleaning and drying steps until the dome cover is clean.
- Inspect for streaks or blurry spots on the camera’s image. Repeat washing if necessary.
- Wash both microfibre cloths with mild soap and water, dry, and store between uses.

The CT1 security dome camera cleaning tool is designed to help you clean your
dome cameras safely and easily.
CT1 kit consists of a flexible dome cleaning assembly and two washable and
reusable drawstring microfibre cloths to remove dust and grime from the
plexiglass domes without damaging them.
The dome cleaning assembly is compatible with most 5/8” threaded poles (ACME
standard). Lightweight telescopic aluminum pole of appropriate length is
recommended (not included). By combining CT1 with a long-reaching telescopic
pole, the technician will eliminate the need for climbing ladders of getting
on a raised platform, reducing the risk of falls.
Important: If using from a ladder or a raised platform, follow all safety
precautions.

DOME CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Clean your dome cameras regularly.
Dome cameras require regular cleaning, especially if they are exposed to the
elements or are installed in high-traffic areas require regular cleaning to
maintain clear image. The accuracy of i3’s Ai video analytics depends in large
part on the clarify and sharpness of the video image.
Wash microfibre cloths between cameras.
Wash the cleaning cloth in clean soapy water after each camera. Inspect the
cloth for particles after each cleaning to prevent scratching the camera dome.
Using CT1 to clean dome cameras:
- Attach CT1 dome cleaning assembly to the 5/8” threaded pole.
- Slide the cleaning microfibre cloth over the metal piece and tighten the drawstring.

Apply some lens cleaning solution to the cloth.
Do not oversaturate. -
Gently press the CT1 assembly with the cleaning cloth against the dome and move it in circular motion to clean.

Wash the cleaning cloth in clean soapy water to remove any residue or dirt.

Repeat Steps 3 and 5 until the dome cover is clean.

Slide the drying microfibre cloth over the metal piece and tighten the drawstring.
Tip: Always ensure the cleaning cloth is free of any visible particles. Microfible cloth can trap dirt, which can be re-deposited on the dome or cause scratches -
Gently press the CT1 assembly with the drying cloth against the dome and move it in circular motion to dry the dome.

Inspect the camera’s video image for streaks or blurry spots. Repeat washing and drying steps as needed.

Repeat steps 2-9 for all remaining dome cameras.

Wash both the cleaning and drying microfibre cloths with mild soap and water, dry and store between uses.
