The B74 is an extension back box for cable management used for surface mounting of i3’s M74 camera series

- To protect the CAT5 connector from corrosion and to maintain camera warranty, always use the waterproof RJ45 connector supplied with the camera.
- Ensure that the mounting surface and mounting hardware is suitable for the chosen installation method.
- Add sealant in outdoor installations, as needed.
WATERPROOF RJ45 CONNECTOR
SURFACE INSTALLATION
STEP 1.
Loosen the set screw and rotate the mounting plate counter-clockwise to
remove. Use the hex bit provided.
STEP 2.
A. Attach mounting template to the mounting surface.
B. Drill holes in the mounting surface, as marked on the template.
C. Insert anchors into the holes.
D. Drill the conduit hole for the camera cable, as marked on the template
E. Secure the B74 mounting plate to the mounting surface using the
tapping screws.
STEP 3.
Twist B74 back box clockwise onto the mounted plate. Re-tighten the set screw using the hex bit provided.
STEP 4.
A. Use the hex bit to loosen the set screw securing the camera module to
the socket housing and pull the camera’s mounting base away from the socket
housing.
B. Secure the camera socket housing to the B74 back box using the round
head machine type screws.
C. Re-attach camera to the mounting base and feed the camera cable either
through the cut conduit hole or through the B74 side cable opening.
D. Rotate the camera module inside the housing socket to achieve
preferred view angle. Re-tighten the set screw to secure the camera module in
position.
