Operation

  1. Ensure the battery pack is inserted in the correct orientation into the charger. Do not force it in.

  3. When the battery pack is fully charged, the indicator will turn green.

Care and Cleaning
Regularly clean the charger using a dry cloth to remove dust or debris. Do not use any liquid cleaners. Ensure the charger is unplugged before cleaning.

Intended use

  • The product is intended for charging battery packs with the Conrad item no. 1429464 and 1493004.
  • It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
  • For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuits, fire and electric shocks. Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

General information

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing material for children.
  • Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
  • Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
  • If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
    • is visibly damaged,
    • is no longer working properly,
    • has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
    • has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
  • Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may damage the product.
  • Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
  • Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified shop.
  • If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.

Electrical safety

  • The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
  • Unplug the power adapter from the mains socket if you do not plan to use the device for an extended period of time.
  • Never operate the product when your hands are wet.
  • Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation generated may destroy the product. The mains adapter may also generate a fatal electric shock! Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
  • Use the charging station only with the supplied power adapter.

Additional safety warnings for chargers

  • Disconnect the charger from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning, maintenance, storage and transportation.
  • Before using the charger, read all the instructions and cautionary markings on the charger and battery pack.
  • The charger and battery pack (Conrad item no. 1429464 and 1493004) are specifically designed to work together. Only use the charger with the battery pack specified for this product.
  • Charge the battery pack indoors only as the charger is designed for indoor use only.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Protect the charger against moisture and wet conditions. There is a danger of electric shock.
  • Do not place any object on top of the charger as it could cause overheating. Do not place the charger near any heat source.
  • Do not use an extension cord unless it is absolutely necessary. The use of an improper extension cord could cause the risk of fire, electric shock or electrocution.
  • Do not use the charger if it has been subjected to a heavy knock, dropped or otherwise damaged in any way. Have the charger checked and repaired by an authorised service centre.

Operation

  • Connect the DC plug of the power adapter to the socket on the charging station.
  • Connect the power adapter to the mains. The power indicator of the power adapter lights up green.
  • Slide the battery pack into the charger.

The battery pack fits only one way. Do not force it into the charger. While charging, the indicator of the power adapter lights up red. When the battery pack is fully charged, the indicator turns green.

Care and cleaning

  • Disconnect the charger from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning, maintenance, storage and transportation.
  • Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
  • Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.

Disposal

This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators, which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.

Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back of waste. Conrad provides the following return options free of charge (more details on our website):

  • in our Conrad offices
  • at the Conrad collection points
  • at the collection points of public waste management authorities or the collection points set up by manufacturers or distributors within the meaning of the ElektroG

End users are responsible for deleting personal data from the WEEE to be disposed of.
