XEN Instrument Lubricant+ is a water-based liquid lubricant for use in automated washer applications, including washer-disinfectors and cart washers, as well as manual use. Instrument Lubricant+ lubricates the joints and moving parts of medical instruments, reducing friction corrosion and contributing to a longer life for the equipment. It does not interfere with steam or ethylene oxide sterilization.

Directions for Use in Automated Washing Equipment

1. Instrument Lubricant+ should be automatically dosed into the final rinse cycle. Dosing is 0.05–0.13 oz./gal.
   (0.4–1.0 ml/L). Automated washers should be set to dose at >122°F (>50°C). Deionized (DI) or reverse osmosis (RO) water is recommended for the final rinse.

Directions for Use Manual Method

1. In a suitable container, mix 20-40ml/L in clean potable water, preferably deionized RO or distilled at <77°F (25°C).
2. Open instrument joints and place into basket.
3. Submerge instruments in the solution for 30 seconds.
4. Remove instruments from solution and allow to drain and dry prior to sterilization.

The solution must be discarded daily or after each shift, or if it becomes visibly contaminated.

• Do not mix with other chemicals.

• Wear correct PPE and follow applicable guidelines.

Danger: Causes serious eye damage.
First Aid : IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a poison center or doctor. For specific treatment refer to section 4 of SDS.

Dispose of contents and container in accordance with local, regional, national, and international regulations.

Storage Information

Store in a cool, dry place protected from frost and away from acids and strong oxidizing agents. Store upright in original containers. Optimum storage temperature 41°F–77°F/5°C–25°C.
