Instructions for Use

XEN Accelerate+ Lumen is a ready-to-use, nonenzymic, pH-neutral pretreatment foam formulated for point-of-use treatment of medical instruments and devices, including ophthalmic equipment, prior to transport. Accelerate+ Lumen prevents the drying of surgical soils and assists the cleaning process.

The water-based foam spray breaks down quickly for better visibility of sharps. Accelerate+ Lumen features a fine tube attachment for treating lumen instruments.

Order no. Description

Directions for Use

  1. Place instruments into transport container. Ensure box locks and hinges are open and instruments are separated and disassembled per manufacturer’s IFU.
  2. Shake bottle before use.
  3. Keeping the sprayer upright, insert the Xcelerate+ nozzle into the lumen and spray until foam is seen emerging from the distal end.
  4. Immediately after use and prior to transport, spray generously on soiled instruments, ensuring complete coverage. If soil has already dried, leave Xcelerate+ Lumen on instruments for a minimum of 1 hour.
  5. Prior to the next reprocessing step, rinse instruments thoroughly to remove any residual soils and product.
