Function Descriptions

Front Panel Functions

  1. Wireless Playback Volume: Used for volume control of wireless playback, line output, and USB. Rotate clockwise to gradually increase the volume, and vice versa.

  2. Wireless Playback & USB Indicator Light: Flashing blue when not paired. Solid blue when wireless playback is successfully paired. Solid red when USB is connected.

  3. Wireless Playback Switch: Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn on or off wireless playback. Wireless playback function automatically turns on when the device is powered on, with indicator light ② flashing blue.

  4. Bass Knob: Bass control of line output/wireless playback/USB. Rotate clockwise to increase low-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  5. Mode Switch Key: Press to switch between music mode and accompaniment (vocal-removed) mode. Press down for music mode and release for accompaniment mode.

  6. Midrange Knob: Midrange control of line output/wireless playback/USB.
    Rotate clockwise to increase mid-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  7. Treble Knob: Treble control of Line output/wireless playback/USB. Rotate clockwise to increase high-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  8. Switching Knob: Rotate counterclockwise to switch to the previous track, rotate clockwise to switch to the next track. Press briefly to pause and press again to play. Press and hold for 5 seconds to exit the current wireless playback.

  9. USB Interface: Insert a USB flash drive for playback of music files contained within.

  10. AUX IN Input: Connect various audio sources such as phones, tablets, computers, DVD players, etc. using a Ø3.5mm audio cable.

  11. Indicator Light: Overall system power indicator light.

  12. CH1 Volume Control: Used to adjust the volume of Channel 1. Rotate clockwise to increase the volume, and vice versa.

  13. +6dB Switch: Used to boost the wired mic gain. Press down for +6dB gain; release for normal state.

  14. Bass Knob: Low-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 1 mic. Rotate clockwise to increase low-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  15. Midrange Knob: Mid-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 1 mic. Rotate clockwise to increase mid-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  16. Treble Knob: High-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 1 mic. Rotate clockwise to increase high-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  17. Reverb Knob: Reverb adjustment knob for Channel 1 mic. Rotate clockwise to increase mic reverb effect, and vice versa.

  18. CH2 Volume Control: Controls the volume of Channel 2 (mic/instrument). Rotate clockwise to increase the volume, and vice versa.

  19. TONE Key: +3dB gain for Channel 2 (mic/instrument); enhances the fullness and clarity of the wired mic, and produces a softer sound for the instrument.

  20. Bass Knob: Low-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 2 (mic/instrument). Rotate clockwise to increase low-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  21. Midrange Knob: Mid-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 2 (mic/instrument). Rotate clockwise to increase mid-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  22. Treble Knob: High-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 2 (mic/instrument). Rotate clockwise to increase high-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  23. Reverb Knob: Reverb adjustment knob for Channel 2 (mic/instrument). Rotate clockwise to increase reverb effect, and vice versa.

  24. CH3 Volume Control: Used to adjust the volume of Channel 3. Rotate clockwise to increase the volume, and vice versa.

  25. TONE Key: Channel 3 Bright/Warm tone selection. Press to produce a softer sound for the instrument.

  26. Bass Knob: Low-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 3 instrument. Rotate clockwise to increase low-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  27. Midrange Knob: Mid-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 3 instrument. Rotate clockwise to increase mid-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  28. Treble Knob: High-frequency adjustment knob for Channel 3 instrument. Rotate clockwise to increase high-frequency gain, and vice versa.

  29. Reverb Knob: Reverb adjustment knob for Channel 3 instrument. Rotate clockwise to increase reverb effect, and vice versa.

  30. Chorus Knob: Chorus effect adjustment knob for Channel 3 instrument.

  31. Master Volume Knob: Controls the overall volume of the speaker.

  32. Recording Volume Knob: Used to control the volume of the 3.5mm live streaming interface and OTG interface.

  33. 3.5mm Live Streaming Interface: Android/iOS/3.5mm live audio interface.

  34. HD OTG Interface: High-definition OTG recording/live streaming interface, supports recording at 24bit/96K and playback at 24bit/48K, and provides power backflow.

  35. Headphone Volume Control: Controls the output volume of the monitoring headphones.

  36. 3.5mm Monitoring Interface: Used to connect headphones for monitoring purposes.

  37. Live Streaming Charging Switch: Press to enable OTG charging, release to disable charging.

Operating Instructions

Wireless Playback Pairing
When using the device for the first time, it needs to be paired and connected with your phone or wireless playback device. Follow these steps:

  1. Turn on the power switch of the speaker. The wireless playback function will automatically activate, and the wireless playback indicator will start blinking blue, indicating that it is in pairing mode.
  2. Access the Settings menu on your phone and enable the wireless playback function. Search for TAKSTAR OD200 and establish a connection. The indicator light will change from blinking to solid blue, indicating a successful connection.
  3. To disconnect the playback, press and hold the wireless playback switch for 5 seconds.

Live Streaming and Recording
Connect one end of the supplied OTG data cable to the OTG interface on the speaker, and the other end to your Apple or Android phone. Use the recording volume knob to control the overall recording/streaming volume level, and adjust the mic and music volume knobs to change their relative ratio to desired levels. Press the charging switch to enable charging while live streaming. Release the switch to stop charging.

Daisy-Chain Connection

  1. Two Speakers in Series: The serial switch on the first speaker (not pressed) should be in the raised position, while pressed on the second speaker. You can record the sound from both speakers on the second speaker, or record only the first speaker’s sound on the first speaker.
  2. Multiple Speakers in Series: Keep the serial switch on the first speaker in the raised position while pressed on all the other speakers. You can record all the speakers’ sound on the last speaker. If any of the speaker (except the first speaker) have its serial switch in the raised position, the speakers connected after it will not produce sound.

Troubleshooting

  1. Power failure, power indicator not lit
    a) Check if the speaker battery is low. Please charge the speaker and try again.

  2. No sound when inserting a USB flash drive
    a) Check if the music files are in a compatible format. Some file formats may not be supported by the speaker’s decoding board.
    b) Poor compatibility of the USB flash drive. Try formatting the USB flash drive and copying the music files again, or use a different USB flash drive for playback.

  3. Distorted sound or speaker distortion
    a) Check if the volume is set too high, exceeding the speaker’s capacity. Adjust the volume to an appropriate level.

  4. Decreased volume during wireless playback
    a) Check if the music being played has any issues.
    b) Verify that the volume on the phone or the wireless playback device is properly adjusted.
    c) Disconnect the wireless playback connection on the device and restart your phone or smart devices. Then, reestablish the wireless playback pairing.

  5. Noise in speaker sound
    a) Check if there are any connection errors or issues with other input devices. Try reconnecting them.
    b) Ensure that the connection cables are properly connected or try using a different cable.
    c) When using live streaming, avoid connecting to 220V AC power sources.
    d) Check for any sources of interference near the speaker, such as routers or induction cookers. Keep a distance from these sources to minimize interference.

Safety Instructions

To avoid electric shock, overheat, fire, radiation, explosion, mechanical risk and injury or property loss due to improper use, please read and observe the following items before use:

  1. Please check if the power of the connected equipment matches with that of this product before operation. Adjust the volume to proper level during operation. Do not operate at over-power or high-volume level for extended time to avoid product malfunction.
  2. If there is any abnormality during use (e.g., smoke, strange odor), please kill the power switch and unplug from power source, then send the product to the local after-sales service for repair.
  3. When using replaceable batteries, do not use batteries with damaged insulation on the casing. Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  4. Keep this product and its accessories in a dry and ventilated area. Do not store in a humid or dusty area for extended time. Keep away from fire, rain, liquid intrusion, bumping, throwing, vibrating, or from blocking any ventilation openings, to prevent malfunction.
  5. The product must, when installed on walls or ceilings, be fixed firmly in place at adequate strength to prevent from falling.
  6. Please abide by safety rules during operation. Do not use the product in places prohibited by laws or regulations to avoid accident.
  7. Do not disassemble or repair the product by yourself to avoid injury. If you have any questions or require any services, please contact our local after-sales service.
