SAFETY & WARNINGS

  • Please carefully ready the instruction manual, before using the appliance.
  • Never fill the fry pot with oil or to prevent a fire hazard.
  • The appliance contains electronic elements and heating elements. Do not put it in water or wash the device with water.
  • Do not cover the air inlet and outlet during the operating process. Do not touch the inside of the appliance to avoid burns and scalding.
  • The surfaces are likely to get hot during use. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use the handle or knob.
  • High-temperature air will flow out through the outlet when the appliance is in use. Please keep a safe distance. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Do not close to the air outlet.
  • When pulling out the fry pot, please be careful of high-temperature air.
  • Always keep the plug clean and dry.
  • Do not damoge, strongly pull or twist the power cord, use it carry heavy loads or let the cord hang over edge of table of counter or touch hot surfaces. Doing so is dangerous and may cause electric shock, fire, or other accidents. Damaged power cords must be replaced by Kogan.com, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Please do not plug and unplug with wet hands to prevent electric shock.
  • Ensure the plug is always inserted tightly, otherwise, it may cause electric shock, short circuit, smoking, sparking or other dangers.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, body, cord or plug in water or other liquid, to protect against electrical shock and affecting the function.
  • Do not place the appliance near explosive and/or flammable fumes.
  • Do not place the appliance on or near flammable material, such as tablecloths, curtains, and others, to avoid fire hazard.
  • Be sure to use on a heat resistant and even surface, keep the appliance at least 30cm away the wall, furniture or other flammables.
  • The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.

OPERATION

Before the first use

  • Remove all packaging material.
  • Remove all stickers or labels from the appliance
  • Thoroughly clean the basket and the fry pot with hot water, some washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge.
  • Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.
  • Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal and level surface. Place the item on a surface that is heat resistant. Place the appliance with good air circulation and away from hot surface and any combustible materials.
  • Place the basket in the fry pot properly, you will hear a “tang”. Slide the fry pot back into the appliance.
  • This is an appliance that works on hot air. Do not fill the fry pot with oil or frying fat.
  • Do not put anything on top of the appliance. This disrupts the airflow and affects the hot air frying result.

Turning on The Fryer

  1. Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket and turn power switch on.
  2. Click the ON/OFF button. Default display shows 180 degrees Celsius and 15 minutes.

Preheat Mode

  1. Click temperature increase/decrease button to set temperature for cooking.
  2. Click Time decrease button to set 5 minutes.
  3. Click the ON/OFF button once more to start cooking.
  4. When you hear the timer beep, carefully pull the fry pot out of the appliance and put on a heat resistant surface. Caution, the fry pot and basket is extremely hot. Only hold with the fry basket handle. You do not need to remove the fry basket from the fry pot at this stage.
  5. Carefully place the ingredients inside the fry basket (Attention: do not exceed the maximum line), slide the fry pot back to the appliance. Until you hear it click into place otherwise it will not turn back on.
  6. Never use the fry pot without the basket in it.

7. Click the mode selection button to switch between each cooking mode. Otherwise click temperature increase/decrease button and time increase/decrease button to choose appropriate time and temperature. 8. Click the ON/OFF button once more to start cooking. 9. When you hear the timer beep, the cooking time has elapsed. Pull the fry pot out of appliance and place it on a heat-resistant surface. 10. Check if the ingredients are ready. If the ingredients are not ready yet, simply slide the fry pot back into the appliance and set the temperature and timer to a few extra minutes. 11. If the ingredients are ready, carefully pull out the fry pot and press the basket release button and lift the basket out of fry pot to remove the food. 12. Do not turn the basket upside down with the fry pot still attached to it, as any excess oil that has collected on the bottom of the fry pot will leak onto the food. 13. Empty the basket into a bowl or onto a plate. When a batch of ingredients is ready, the appliance is instantly ready for preparing another batch.

Tips:

  • Add some oil onto dish for a crispier result.
  • Shaking ingredients halfway during the cooking time will optimise the end result and can help prevent unevenly fried ingredients. To shake the ingredients, pull the fry pot out of the appliance by the handle and shake it. Be careful to avoid splashing of hot oil or food. Then slide the fry pot back into the appliance. Do not press the basket release button during shaking.

CLEANING & CARE

  1. Before cleaning, turn the timer to 0, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down. Don’t touch the surface before cooling.
  2. Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher-proof.
  3. Clean the surface of the fryer pot and basket with hot water, some washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge. If dirt is stuck to the basket or the bottom of the fry pot, fill the fry pot with hot water with some washing-up liquid. Put the basket in the fry pot and let the fry pot and basket soak for about 10 minutes.
  4. Used damp cloth to wipe the surface of the fryer Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, souring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
  5. If you do not use the appliance for a long time, please clean it and store it in a cool and dry place.
