IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Read this manual thoroughly before first use. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the appliance. Keep these instructions for future reference and pass them on to possible new owners of the appliance.

  1. Use the appliance only as described in this manual. Using the appliance for other purposes may lead to hazards.

  2. Before connecting the appliance, ensure the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the appliance (120V ~ 60Hz) matches your local voltage

  3. This appliance is NOT recommended to be used with an electrical extension cord, as this will greatly increase the risk of fire and/or electric shock.

  4. This appliance is intended for household use only. It is not intended for commercial, industrial or outdoor use.

  5. To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, do not place the appliance near a window where it may be exposed to rain.
    Never immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or any other liquids.

  6. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and supervised by an adult.

  7. Close supervision must be provided when the appliance is used by or near children.

  8.   WARNING! Avoid contact with moving parts. Never insert fingers, pencils or other objects into the air inlets/outlets or any openings on the appliance, as this may cause an injury, electric shock, fire, or damage to the appliance. Keep hands, hair, clothing, and jewelry away from the air inlets/outlets during operation to prevent injury.

  9. Place the appliance upright on a level and stable surface. Use the appliance indoors, in a dry and well ventilated area.

  10.   WARNING! Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the power cord is not in a position where it can be tripped over or pulled by children or pets.

  11. CAUTION! To prevent the risk of fire, always keep the air inlets and outlets on the appliance clear of obstructions. Do not place the appliance directly against the wall or use it in close proximity to curtains, tablecloths, etc.

  12. WARNING! Always unplug the appliance from the wall socket before:

    • moving the appliance,
    • cleaning or storing.
  13. Never leave the appliance unattended during use or while it is connected to the wall socket. Turn off and unplug the appliance when it is not in use.

  14. To disconnect the appliance from the mains, grip the plug and pull it from the wall outlet. Do not pull on the cord.

  15. Never touch the appliance or plug with wet hands, as this may cause an electric shock.

  16. Do not use the appliance in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.

  17. Do not place the appliance or any parts near open flames or next to cooking or other heating appliances.

  18. DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION! Never use the appliance in the bathroom, near any source of water or heavy moisture (e.g. near a swimming pool, bathtub, basin, or in a damp basement, etc.). Do not place any objects filled with liquids, such as vases, near or on the appliance.

  19. Only use the appliance with the original accessories and parts supplied. The use of accessories or fittings other than those supplied with this appliance may result in an injury, fire or damage and will void the warranty.

  20. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer’s authorized service centre.

  21. DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION! This appliance has no userserviceable parts. Never attempt to dismantle or repair the appliance yourself. The warranty will not cover any claims for damage due to mishandling.

  22. WARNING! Never use a damaged appliance. Do not use the appliance if it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. In case of malfunction or damage, unplug the appliance and contact an authorized service centre to arrange a repair.

  23. The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage or injury resulting from non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.

POLARIZED PLUG

Polarized PlugThe appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR ATTEMPT TO DEFEAT ITS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.

USING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Place the tower fan upright on a dry, level and stable surface.
  2. Ensure the Control knob is in the “0” (OFF) position, and then plug the power cord firmly into a 120 V ~ 60 Hz wall socket.
  3. Turn the Control knob to select the desired function. The Control knob has two OFF positions and can be turned 360 degrees in either direction.
  4. To turn off the tower fan, turn the Control knob to the “0” position.

WARNING! Always turn off and unplug the appliance from the wall socket when it is not in use to disconnect it completely from the power supply

CLEANING AND CARE

  1.   WARNING! Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the wall socket.
  2.   WARNING! To avoid electrical hazards, never immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or any other liquids.
    Never rinse them under the tap or spray with liquids. Make sure water does not get into the electrical parts of the appliance while cleaning.

NOTE: Do not use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire brushes, sharp objects or scouring pads to clean the appliance. Never use gasoline, benzene, thinner or alcohol to clean the appliance.

  • Clean the appliance on a regular basis to keep it in good condition.
  • Wipe down the exterior of the appliance with a soft cloth/sponge lightly moistened with water or soapy water to remove dirt and dust.
  • Dry the appliance completely after cleaning.
  • This fan requires minimal maintenance and contains no user serviceable parts. DO NOT attempt to disassemble or fix the appliance yourself. Contact an authorized service center if servicing is needed.

STORAGE

  • If the appliance will not be used for an extended period of time, store the appliance unplugged in its original box.
  • Store upright in a dry and cool place, away from dust.

Proper disposal of this product.
