When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance and keep it for future reference.
- Use this fan only as described in this manual. Using the fan for other purposes may cause a fire, hazards or an electric shock.
- This product is intended for household use. It is designed for indoor, non-commercial, non-industrial and general domestic use in cooling rooms and is not intended for use in windows. Do not use the product outdoors or for any other purpose.
- To prevent the risk of electrical shock, always use the fan on a dry, level surface. Do not place the fan near windows, immerse the unit, plug or cord in water, or spray with liquids.
- Close supervision must be provided when the appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug the unit from the mains outlet when left unattended or not in use, when moving the fan from one location to another, and before cleaning. 6. Never submerge the unit in water.
- Do not operate the unit in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- Do not place the unit or any parts near open flames or next to cooking or other heating appliances.
- Never insert fingers or any other objects through the fan guards. Never drop or insert objects into any opening of the product.
- Never plug the unit in with wet hands or a wet cord.
- Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, discard the fan or return it to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Avoid contact with moving fan parts.
- To disconnect the fan from the power supply, grip the plug and pull it from the outlet. Do not pull on the cord.
- Do not operate if the fan housing has been removed or damaged.
- To prolong the lifespan of the product, do not use the fan continuously for 24 hours a day.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of an electric shock or injury, do not use the fan near windows.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of a fire or electrical hazards, do not use this fan with a solid state speed control device.
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug, if it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify
the plug in any way.
DO NOTE ATTEMPT TO MODIFY THIS PLUG OR DEFEAT THIS SAFETY FEATURE IN ANY WAY.

STAND FAN INSTRUCTIONS

Attach the outer tube (5) to the base (8) with the 4 screws (7) as shown.

Loosen the height adjustment knob (4) on the outer tube and extend the inner tube to the desired height.

Slide the cover ring (6) down the outer tube to rest on top of the base.
Caution: The knob must be fully tightened before assembling the fan head to the inner tube. -
Secure the fan head (1) to the inner tube (3) with 1 screw (2). FLOOR FAN INSTRUCTIONS

Attach the plastic connection plate (9) to the base (8) with the 4 screws (7) as shown.

Secure the fan head (1) to the connection plate (9) with 1 screw (2).
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Do not use this product near windows, as this may cause an electric shock or result in personal injury and/or damage to property.
- Place the fan on a dry, level surface.
- Make sure the rotary switch is in the “0” (OFF) position. Plug the unit into a 120 V/AC, 60 Hz mains outlet.
- Adjust the fan head vertically to the desired angle.
- To turn on the unit, turn the rotary switch to position “1” (LOW), “2” (MEDIUM) or “3” (HIGH).
- To stop the unit, turn the rotary switch to the “0” (OFF) position, and then unplug the unit from the mains outlet.
- Unplug the product from the mains outlet when it is not in use or is left unattended.
CLEANING AND CARE
WARNING: To avoid the risk of electric shock, always make sure the product is unplugged from the mains outlet before cleaning or servicing

The product should be cleaned and inspected on a regular basis. Make sure the fan blade is clean at all times to prevent damage and fading. The fan can be cleaned in two ways:
a) Vacuum the fan blades or use a can of compressed air, or
b) Remove the front guard by removing the 6 screws securing
the grille to the fan (use a screwdriver with a magnetic tip). -
To clean the front guard, turn counterclockwise to loosen the screw and pull off the guard. To replace the front guard, align the shaft with the inside groove on the guard and push inwards. Screw the fastener on clockwise to tighten.

Take the guard off and wipe it with a cloth or use a can of compressed air. Make sure the front guard is completely dry before securing it back onto the fan.

Wipe the fan blades (do not remove) with a damp cloth dipped in a light solution of water and mild detergent.

Make sure that water does not get into the motor while cleaning.

The blade and rear guard (non-removable) must be completely dry when the guard in place.

Do not use any chemical cleaners (e.g. acid or alcohol) to clean the fan.
NOTE: This fan is not intended to be disassembled in order to clean the internal parts (e.g. blade or motor). Disassembly may damage the product. Never use liquids or abrasive cleaners to clean the product.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Do not attempt to open any part of the motor housing, as this may cause an electric shock. This product has been lubricated at the factory and does not require further lubrication. Additional lubrication of electric motor parts could create a fire hazard.
- The product must be placed in its original packaging and stored in a room with low humidity.
- Make sure the product is completely dry before use.
Note: If you experience a problem, please return the fan to the retailer. Do not attempt to open the motor housing yourself, as doing so may cause damage to the fan or personal injury.

Proper disposal of this product.
