Code| Description| Default Setting
---|---|---
AL| Low-Temperature Alarm| 1°C
AH| High-Temperature Alarm| 1°C
CA| Calibrating Temperature Sensor Reading| 0°C
Notes: It is recommended to leave the AL and AH parameters at the factory
default of 1°C above or below the set temperature.
The CA factory default is 0°C. Calibration will be offset from this value.
- If you want to restore the incubator to the default settings, press and hold the set button for 6 seconds.
- Take the sponge out and soak it in water. Place it back into the position. Ensure to soak the sponge in water two times a day.
- Preheat the incubator for 20 minutes.
- The recommended temperature is 38°C for incubation. Adjust the temperature according to various egg types.
- Ensure to select freshly fertilized eggs. See the Selecting Fertilised Eggs section of this user guide.
Selecting Fertilised Eggs
- Choose freshly fertilized eggs. Eggs within 4-7 days after laying is the best. The best temperature for saving fertilised eggs is 10-15°C.
- Ensure the eggshell has no deformity, cracks or spots.
- Do not wash or store eggs in the fridge as it will damage powdery substance protection on the outer shell.
- Disinfection is not required and may reduce the hatching rate.
Incubation Process
-
Place in the incubator with the narrower end facing down. Proper operation and careful observation are required during the incubation.
-
Depending on the environment and the quantity of water inside the machine, add water to the machine every 1 to 2 days.
Note: Do not open the cover frequently when the incubator is working. Unplug the machine when opening the cover. -
Turn eggs twice per day gently and slowly. Swing left and right side at 45 degrees for 3-4 times.
-
Test the eggs for the first time after 5 to 6 days to confirm fertilisation. Identify the unfertilised eggs, scattered yellow eggs and dead eggs.
Note Do not test during the first 4 days of the incubation period. This may cause the egg surface temperature to decline sharply and affect the eggs’ early development. -
Test the eggs for the second time after 11 to 12 days to check the development of the embryo. A well-developed embryo is enlarged, with blood vessels inside. The air chamber is large and sharply demarcated.
-
Test the eggs for the third time after 16 to 17 days. Turn the narrow end of the egg towards the light source. A well-developed embryo will be large, and a little light will be visible when light is shone from the wider end. If it is a dead egg, the blood vessels in the egg will be blurred, parts near the air chamber will be yellow and the boundary between the egg and the air chamber will be unclear.
-
Increase humidity and decrease temperature during the hatching period to prevent water from evaporating too quickly in the eggs. This will regulate the humidity and temperature while avoiding dehydration.
-
Ensure the temperature should be no higher than 37.5°C on day 19-21.
