Usage
Making ice cubes
-
Open the lid of the appliance and remove the ice-collector.
-
Fill the ice cube maker now with water. Ensure that you do not exceed the maximum mark. Use only drinking water without additives for making ice cubes.
Note: As far as possible, use water with a temperature of 8°C to 25°C. Then replace the ice collector and close the lid of the appliance. -
Then press the “ON/OFF” button to start the appliance. The freezing process takes approximately 7 to 10 minutes.
Note: Due to the rapid freezing process, it may happen that the ice cubes appear slightly milky. The air trapped in the water can get into the ice cube. However, the air does not affect the quality of the ice cube. The appliance pauses automatically when the collector is full (the LED “ICE FULL” lights up). The process continues if enough ice cubes are taken out or they melt. The ice cube maker stops when there is no water in the water tank. The “ADD WA- TER” LED lights up. You can stop the appliance manually by pressing the “ON/OFF” button. The “ON/OFF” LED stops glowing.
Cleaning and Care
To retain the fresh taste, we recommend you to clean the ice cube maker once a week if you are using it regularly.
-
Stop the ice making cycle by pressing the “ON/OFF” button. Then discon-nect the plug from the socket and allow the appliance to return to room temperature.
-
If water is still left in the freezer unit, press the ice tray back carefully so that all the water flows back into the water tank.
-
To drain excess water, place the appliance with the front side on an edge and place a bucket underneath, or place the appliance over the sink. Now pull out the drain plug on the bottom of the appliance. Caution! Please note: Once the plug is removed, water flows out of the water tank!
-
Remove the ice collector.
-
Clean the inside of the appliance using a soft cloth dipped in warm water and vinegar. Then rinse it with clean water and allow it to dry completely.
-
Replace the drain plug in the correct position. Wash the ice collector in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry it afterwards.
-
Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft, slightly moist cloth. Use a mild dish washing detergent if necessary.
NOTE: Do not use any organic solvents, boiling water, cleaning agents, strong acids and bases, etc., for cleaning. -
Please empty the water tank and dry it for storage if the ice maker is not used for long durations.
