Please read this manual carefully and use the device only according to this manual.
Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to use the device, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
Only use the unit for the intended use and do not use it for lighting a fire, for drying clothes or other objects.

Never leave the switched on unit unattended and keep it out of reach of children and persons in need of supervision.
Disconnect the unit from the power mains when it is not in use. Please note that the unit is still hot after switching off. There is risk of burn and fire hazard!
Never move the unit by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the unit and do not bend it.
Be careful when using the unit near flammable or easy fusible materials such as plastics or glass. Do not direct the unit for long time at the same place. Never point the running unit to people, animals, plants, flammable objects or liquids.
Do not use the unit in explosive atmosphere.
Be aware that heat may be conducted to combustible materials that are out of sight.
Please note that poisonous gases may be emitted while removing paint. Use suitable inhalation protection and ensure adequate ventilation.
Keep the air slots and the nozzle clean to avoid overheating the unit and to prevent from fire hazard.
The unit is designed for operation in altitudes of up to 2000 m above sea level.
Use original accessory only.
Should the unit become damaged do not use it any further and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer service. Do not disassemble the unit or try repairing it yourself.

Operation

Range of Use

You can use the heat gun for the following fields of application:

for removing varnish or oil paint and latex paint, stickers,
for removing ski wax, putty and for loosening rusty or tight nuts and screws,
for melting ice in frozen metal pipes and locks,
for shrinking packaging films and shrink-film hoses,
for loosening flooring,
for deforming plastics,
for drying acceleration of paint, varnish, wet or damp substances or objects before they are further processed,
for emphasising the natural grain of wooden surfaces before staining or vanishing,
for torching wood casings.

Hints

Please note that glazes and base coats on wood cannot be removed with the heat gun.
First test on a small not visible section of the surface before processing a larger area.
Vapours of paints and plastics are poisonous. Always ensure adequate ventilation, while working in buildings and use inhalation protection, if necessary.
Do not use chemical paint stripper or solvent at the same time when using the heat gun.
For removing paint and varnish, direct the heat gun nozzle from approx. 10 cm distance onto the paint, until it starts bubbling. Push the paint in the blowing direction off its substrate.
From profiled surfaces, remove the paint after heating by using a wire brush.
Areas that should not to be heated up, please cover with a non-flammable and poorly heat conducting material.
Before cleaning the unit, always unplug and allow the heat gun to cool down fully.

Operation

First make sure the heat gun is switched off and then connect the power plug to a socket.
Set the red ON/OFF switch from the position 0 to level I or II. Temperatures of up to 350° C are reached at level I and 600° C at level II.
Within a few seconds the heat gun reaches its operating temperature.
Heat up the object to be treated. If required, switch to a higher or lower temperature and direct the nozzle closer to the object.
Always switch off the heat gun after work. Please note that the nozzle is still very hot. Do not place the heat gun close to flammable materials.

Cleaning

Before cleaning the unit, always disconnect the plug from the power supply and allow the heat gun to cool down fully.
Clean the unit with a dry or soft moistened cloth. Never use aggressive chemicals.
Keep the air slots and the nozzle clean at all time.
Do not allow liquids to enter the unit and do not immerse the heat gun into liquids of any kind.
