The stated vibration emission value was measured in accordance with a standard testing procedure and may be used to com-pare one power tool to another.
The stated vibration emission value may also be used for a preliminary exposure assessment.

Warning: The vibration emission value may differ during actual use of the power tool from the stated value depending on the manner in which the power tool is used.
Try to keep the exposure to vibrations as low as possible. Examples of measures to reduce vibration exposure are limiting the working hours. For this purpose all parts of the operating cycle have to be considered (for example, times when the electric tool is switched off and times when it is switched on but running without any load).

Safety instructions

Ensure that the safety instructions are ob-served when operating the appliance.
General Safety Directions for Power Tools

WARNING! Read all safety notices, instructions, illustra-tions and technical data that have been provided with this power tool. Omissions in the compliance with safety directions and instructions can cause electrical shock, fire and/or severe injuries.

Retain all safety directions and in-structions for future use.
The term „power tool“ in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool).

  1. WORK AREA SAFETY
    a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite ac- cidents.
    b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable Iiquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
    c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

  2.   ELECTRICAL SAFETY
    a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodi-fied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
    b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and re-frigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
    c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
    d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pull-ing or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
    e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
    f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a RCD (Residual Current Device) protected supply with a rated leakage current of not more than 30 mA. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

  3. PERSONAL SAFETY
    a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influ- ence of drugs, alcohol or medi-cation. A moment of inattention white operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
    b) Use personal protective equip-ment. Always wear eye protec-tion. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appro-priate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
    c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising pow-er tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
    d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the pow-er tool on. A wrench or a key left at-tached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
    e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
    f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
    g) If dust extraction and collection devices can be installed, make sure that these are connected and used correctly. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related haz-ards.
    h) Do not allow yourself to be lulled into a false sense of se-curity and do not disregard the safety rules for power tools, even if you are familiar with the power tool after using it many times. Careless action can lead to serious injuries within a fraction of a second.

  4. POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
    a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
    b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
    c) Remove the plug from the wall socket and/or remove the re-chargeable battery before you change the device’s settings, change accessory parts or put away the power tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentaIly.
    d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not al-low persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
    e) Look after the power tool and application tool carefully. Check for misalignment or binding
of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
    f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less Iikely to bind and are easier to control.
    g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working condi-tions and the work to be per-formed. Use of the power tool for op-erations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
    h) Keep handles and grip surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grip surfaces do not permit safe operation and control over the power tool in un-expected situations.

  5. CAREFUL HANDLING AND USE OF BATTERY DEVICES
    a) Charge the batteries only in chargers that are recommended by the manufacturer. Risk of fire if a charger that is suitable for a specific type of battery is used with other batteries.
    b) In the power tools, use only the batteries designed for the pur-pose. The use of other batteries may result in injuries and risk of fire.
    c) Keep the unused battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal objects, which could cause bridging of the contacts. A short circuit between the battery contacts may cause burns or fire.
    d) If used incorrectly, liquid may leak from the battery. Avoid contact with this. In the event of accidental contact, rinse off with water. If the liquid gets into eyes, seek medical assistance. Leaking battery fluid may cause skin irritations or burns.
    e) Do not use damaged or altered batteries. Damaged or altered batteries can be unpredictable and lead to fire, explosion or risk of injury.
    f) Do not expose batteries to fire or elevated temperatures. Fire or temperatures over 130 °C can cause an explosion.
    g) Follow all instructions for charging and never charge the battery or the battery-powered tool outside the temperature range stated in the operating instructions. Incorrect charging or charging outside the permitted temperature range may destroy the battery and in-crease the risk of fire.

  6. SERVICE
    a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
    b) Never repair damaged batteries. All battery repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer or authorised customer service centres only.

  7. ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
    a) Hold the appliance by the insu-lated gripping surfaces when performing work in which the tool may come into contact with hidden wiring. Contact with a live wire can also cause a charge in metal parts of the appliance and result in an electric shock.
    b) Hold the device by the insulated gripping surfaces when per-forming work in which the cut-ting tool may come into contact with hidden wiring or its own cord. If the screw were to come into contact with a live electrical cable, metal parts of the appliance could also become live and cause an electric shock.
    c) Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by PARKSIDE. This can result in electric shock or fire.

  8. SAFETY INFORMATION FOR  USING LONG DRILLS
    a) Do not work at a speed higher than the maximum permissible speed for the drill. Higher speeds can cause the drill to bend slightly when rotating freely without contact with the workpiece and can also cause injury.
    b) Always begin drilling at a low speed and when the drill is in contact with the workpiece. High-er speeds can cause the drill to bend slightly when rotating freely without contact with the workpiece and can also cause injury.
    c) Do not apply excessive pressure to the drill. Only apply pressure lengthwise along the drill. Drills can bend and break or cause a loss in control, thus resulting in injuries.

  9. RESIDUAL RISKS
Even if properly operating and handling this electric tool, some residual risks will remain. Due to its construction and build, this electric tool may present the following hazards:
    a) Cuts
    b) Ear damage if working without ear pro-tection.
    c) Damage to your health caused by swinging your hands and arms when operating the appliance for longer periods of time or if the unit is not held or maintained properly.

Warning! During operation, this electric tool generates an electro- magnetic field which, under certain circumstances, may impair the functionality of active or passive medical implants. To reduce the risk of serious or lethal injuries, we recommend that persons with medical implants consult their doctor and the manufacturer of their medical implant before operating the machine.
