  • Unplug machine

    • Recline handle to floor and roll over so brush is facing up

    • Remove five screws (3 in front and 2 behind brush) and lift brush cover off

    • Grasp brush at both ends and lift up

      • Clean off any debris on the brush, motor pulley, and drive belt
    • Inspect brush and belt for damage

      • Brush should turn easily by hand
      • Belt should be intact
      • If any part is damaged, a new part needs to be ordered
    • If brush turns on hard floor but not on carpet, raise height adjustment

    • If set too low on carpet, belt may stretch out

      • Examine belt for lack of tension and replace as needed
    • To prevent continually breaking belts, turn height adjustment knob to appropriate setting between high and low floor type
