Unplug machine
-
Recline handle to floor and roll over so brush is facing up

Remove five screws (3 in front and 2 behind brush) and lift brush cover off
-
Grasp brush at both ends and lift up
- Clean off any debris on the brush, motor pulley, and drive belt

Inspect brush and belt for damage
- Brush should turn easily by hand
- Belt should be intact
- If any part is damaged, a new part needs to be ordered

If brush turns on hard floor but not on carpet, raise height adjustment
-
If set too low on carpet, belt may stretch out
- Examine belt for lack of tension and replace as needed

To prevent continually breaking belts, turn height adjustment knob to appropriate setting between high and low floor type
- If brush is still not turning, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
