Safety Intended use

  • This product is not suitable for household room lighting.
  • WARNING! The product may not be used near liquids or in damp spaces. There is a risk of injury from electric shock!
  • The product is not intended for commercial use. Different use or a modification to the product are not deemed as intended use and may lead to risks, such as injuries and damage. The distributor assumes no liability for damage that results from improper use.
  • The product is exclusively suitable for interi-or use.

The lamp is intended for normal use and is not suit-able for harsh operating conditions.

Safety information

  • Do not use the product in the case of malfunctions, damage or defects. If you determine a defect on the product, remove the batteries from the device and have the product inspected and repaired, if necessary, before putting it into operation again.
  • The LEDs are not replaceable. If the LEDs are defective, the product must be disposed of.
  • Significant danger can occur for the user in the case of improper repairs
  • The casing must not be opened and the product must not be manipulated/modified under any circumstances. Manipulations/modifications can cause danger to life from electric shock. Manipulations/ modifications are prohibited for approval reasons (CE).
  • The product must not be covered up during use.

Safety instructions regarding batteries

  • Batteries may be fatal if swallowed, sothis article and its batteries must be stored out of the reach of small children.
  • Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, soft tissue perforations and death. Serious internal chemical burns can already occur within 2 hours of ingestion.
  • If a battery has been swallowed, please consult a doctor without delay!
  • Keep the batteries out of the reach of children

  • Never recharge nonrechargeable
  • batteries, do not shortcircuit and/or open them. This may result in overheating, risk of fire or bursting.
  • Keep the product away from heat sources and direct sunlight, the batteries may explode if overheated. There is a risk of injury
  • Leaked or damaged batteries may cause chemical burns if they come into contact with skin. Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands; therefore ensure that you wear appropriate protective gloves in this case!
  • Only use type AA batteries from the same manufacturer.
  • Insert the batteries into the designated battery compartment with the correct polarity.
  • Do not use combinations of old and new batteries or rechargeable batteries.
  • Store batteries in a dry and cool, not damp, place.
  • Never throw batteries into fire.
  • Do not shortcircuitbatteries.
  • Disposable batteries also lose part of their energy during storage.
  • Remove the batteries if the device is not in use.
  • Discharged batteries must be immediately removed in order to avoid battery leakage and thus damage to the device.
  • Empty batteries or used rechargeable batters must be disposed of properly.
  • Store disposable batteries separately from discharged batteries, in order to avoid mixups

CAUTION!

Start-up

  1. Remove all packaging materials.

  2. Check whether all parts are available and undamaged.
    If this is not the case, notify the specified service address.
    The batteries 2 are already inserted in a delivered state. The batteries 2 are protected against discharge by a protection wafer 3 , which must be removed before first use

  3. Unfold the product 1 .

  4. Unlock the battery compartment cover 5 by sliding the locking clips 5a to the rear.

  5. Remove the battery compartment covers 5 from the battery compartments 4 , see Fig. C.

  6. Pull the protection wafers 3 out of the battery compartments as shown 4 , see Fig. B. The product 1 is now ready for operation.

Replacing batteries

If the COBLED
light becomes weaker, the batteries
2 are depleted and must be replaced. For this, proceed as follows, see Fig. C:

  1. Unfold the product 1 .
  2. Unlock the battery compartment cover 5 by sliding the locking clips 5a to the rear.
  3. Remove the battery compartment covers 5 from the battery compartments 4 .
  4. Remove the depleted batteries.
  5. Insert 4 new AA batteries into the battery compartments 4 according to the correct polarity.
  6. Replace the battery compartment 5 covers and fold them closed until you hear the locking clips 5a click into place

Using the product Hanging up the product (Fig. D)
The support leg 6a can be folded out and then serves as a suspension hook.

  1. Press on the catch 7 and unlock it.
  2. Fold out the supporting leg 6a.
  3. Hang the product 1 over a pole/rope or on a hook

NOTE!
The pole/rope or hook must be such that it can support
the weight of the product.

  • To secure against falling down, fold in the stand leg 6a again if possible until the catch 7 clicks into place.
  • If the hook function is no longer required, fold in the stand leg 6a again until the catch 7 clicks into place

Set up the product 1 in an appropriate place

NOTE!

  • The surface should be even, so that the product cannot fall over. The place should have sufficient free space around the product.

  • Place a protective blanket underneath the product, for example. Sensitive surfaces could become scratched by the product.
    The standing legs 6a/b of the product 1 can be rotated approx. 260° towards one another.

    1. Unfold the supporting legs 6a/b as far as they will go.
    2. Fold the two lamp segments 7a/b upwards
    • The lamp segments 7a/b are freely rotatable. This way, you can adjust where the product 1 should illuminate individually,

Magnets are integrated into the standing legs 6a/b. These can be used to attach the product 1 to magnetisable surfaces.

  1. Fold up the standing legs 6a/b.
  2. Attach the product 1 to a magnetisable surface as shown in Fig. F3)

  • To switch the product 1 on, press the push button 8 . Both lamp segments 7a/b will illuminate.
  • A lamp segment is switched off by pressing the push button 8 again.
  • The lamp segments 7a/b will switch over by pressing the push button 8 again.
  • Pressing the push button 8 again switches the product 1 off.

Storing the product

  • When not using the product 1 fold up the product 1 .
  • store in a cool, dry place and protected from UV light

Cleaning and care instructions

! CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Before cleaning, you must remove the batteries from the battery compartment. There is a risk of electric shock!

  • only clean with a dry cloth
  • do not use any strong detergents and/or chemicals
  • do not immerse in water

Disposal

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging and operating instructions are made of 100 % environmentally friendly materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling centres.

Disposal of the product

The product may not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please find out about disposal options for the product from your local authority or town administration

Disposal of the battery / rechargeable batterie

  • Defective or used rechargeable batteries have to be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments.
  • Batteries and disposable batteries are not permitted to be disposed of with household waste. They contain harmful heavy metals. Marking: Pb (= lead), Hg (= mercury), Cd (= cadmium). You are legally obligated to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. After use, you can either return batteries to our point of sale or in the direct vicinity (e.g. with a retailer or in municipal collection centres) free of charge. Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossedout waste bin

Warranty

Warranty from TRADIX GmbH & Co. KG Dear customer, the warranty on this product is 3 years from the purchase date. In the event of defects in this product, you are entitled to exercise your statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not limited by our warranty described in the following

Warranty conditions

  • The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt. This document is required as verification of the purchase.
  • If a material or manufacturing defect arises within three years from the purchase date of this product, the product will be repaired or replaced, as per our choice, at no charge to you. This warranty service requires the submission of the purchase receipt and the defective product within the threeyear period and a short written description of the defect and when it arose.
  • If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. The warranty period does not restart with the repair or replacement of the product

Guarantee period and statutory claims for defects

The guarantee period will not be extended by the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects which may possibly already exist upon purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. After the guarantee period has expired, required repairs shall be subject to a charge.

Scope of guarantee

  • The device has been carefully produced under strict quality guidelines and conscientiously inspected prior to delivery. The guarantee service applies to material or manufacturing faults. This guarantee does not extend to product parts, which are exposed to normal wear and tear and can therefore be regarded as wearing parts or to damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, battery packs or which are made of glass.
  • This guarantee shall lapse, if the product is damages, not used properly or maintained properly. For proper use of the product, all of the instructions in the operating instructions must be precisely complied with. Purposes and actions, which are dissuaded from or warned about in the operating instructions must be avoided.
  • The product is only intended for private and not commercial use. In the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and with interventions, whichare not performed by our authorised service branch, the guarantee shall lapse.
