INTRODUCTION

This product can work with smartphones and tablets. Therefore, in preparing this description, we assumed that the user is in possession of general knowledge of the management of smartphones. Setting and using this device is very close to using phones and tablets. Basic level English knowledge is recommended.

USE

The appliance is ideal for replacing traditional door entry systems or door bells. The supplied wireless bell sounds with the selected melody and gives a light signal when it has been switched on. The external unit is capable of accessing the Internet wirelessly (WiFi) or through cable (LAN). For a stable Internet connection, it is recommended to use a separately available LAN cable that can be leaded out together with the wire of the power supply to the outdoor unit. This is especially useful if the WiFi coverage at the outdoor unit is already poor. To get the door phone system into operation, get help from a specialist. The VDP application that is installed on Android or iOS mobile devices with Internet access will allow you to access and control remote access to your Internet-connected doorphone system from a remote location. You can hear if somebody is ringing, or you can see the visitor, take a photo or video clip, and open the electric gate or lock if you have it. The doorphone controls the lock (12 V) only, so it is also necessary to have a power supply for the lock. The alarm function also indicates the pre-door movement even when it is not ringing.

Mounting
Defines the location of the outdoor unit so that it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight and rain. If necessary, use a special protective cover to be purchased separately and contact a specialist. Mount it to a height (approx.165 cm) and in a direction to make the visitor’s face visible. Check the proper operation of the unit before final fixing. Attention! Installed on a metal surface, the wireless connection (bell and internet) can be significantly reduced, which can be eliminated by wired LAN connection. If necessary, the power cord must be extended (polarity-correct!) To allow the LAN cable to be connected to the outdoor unit. For strong and stable outdoor WiFi reception, this can be ignored. First, the frame must be fastened, then the outdoor unit properly connected to the power supply must be inserted and finally secured by a screw at the bottom

•  The top 2-pole connector on the back serves to connect the supplied adapter.
•  The 3-pin connector underneath connects to the electrical lock (not supplied) and its power supply (not supplied).
•  The required wires should be purchased separately on the basis of individual needs. Lead them away so that they do not get damaged and are protected from weather and physical impact. Before plugging in the AC adapter, check the connection!

INSTALLATION AND THE WIRELESS BELL

The outdoor unit is operational when the 2-pole plug of the accessory adapter is connected. The plug can only be inserted in one position, vice versa do not force the connection. In addition, access to the Internet must be ensured to make full use of the features. You can make this step with the app on your mobile device. Insert 3 pcs AA (1.5 V) alkaline batteries in the battery holder of the wireless bell according to the marked polarity. The bell is switched on, when the switch on the side is in ON position. Press the note button repeatedly to select the desired ringtone from the available 8 ones. The bell is factory paired with the door phone. In the event of a malfunction, for example due to disturbing radio equipment, it may be necessary to pair with a new encoding. Hold down the hidden CODE button on the back of the activated bell for 2 seconds. Use a straightened paper clip. The bell should be in the vicinity of the doorphone.

•  To clear the code: Press the CODE button (the bell is switched off) while holding the ON button and then holding down the CODE button for at least further 2 seconds.
•  If the range (approx. 30 m) decreases or the sound quality deteriorates, replace the batteries.
•  Immediately remove the exhausted battery, as any liquid that may leak out can damage the unit. Battery replacement can only be performed by an adult!
• WARNING! RISK OF EXPLOSION IN CASE OF INCORRECT BATTERY REPLACEMENT! IT CAN BE DONE ONLY BY SAME OR REPLACING TYPE! DO NOT EXPOSE BATTERIES TO DIRECT THERMAL RADIATION AND SUNSHINE! DO NOT BURN THE BATTERIES! IF THERE IS SOME LIQUID FLOWN OUT FROM THE BATTERY, TAKE A PROTECTIVE GLOVE, AND CLEAN THE BATTERY HOLDER WITH A DRY CLOTH! KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN! IT IS FORBIDDEN TO OPEN, BURN AND SHORT-CIRCUIT AND CHARGE BATTERIES! RISK OF EXPLOSION!
•  Do not place accumulators instead of batteries because their voltage and efficiency are significantly reduced.

“VDP” APP TO BE SET
With the help of the application, you can access the following major features, from anywhere in the world, by using mobile phones or tablets having the required operation system and internet connection, if internet access is provided at your location and at the place of use (home). RECEIVING VISITOR’S CALL, MANUAL PHOTO PREPARING OR VIDEO RECORDING, OPENING OF ELECTRIC GATE OR LOCK, ALARM WITH MOTION SENSOR

Power on the outdoor unit in the vicnity of the Wifi Router and mobile device. For successful installation, it is important for your mobile device and doorphone to use the same WiFi network. Use the barcode reader application on your mobile device to read one of the QR codes at the beginning of this manual, depending on your Android or iOS device. Install the appropriate program on the link that appears. Start and follow the instructions that appear. Access your doorphone via your app to your WiFi network. Then add the doorphone to the application („ADD DEVICE”) to make it remote-controlled. The application can be used to manage several different devices. If possible, it is recommended that you connect throug cable (LAN cable) to a more stable operation than the wireless connection. The choice is offered by the application during the confi guration process. (SMART CONFIG = WiFi, LAN CONNECTION = LAN cable) The „admin” name and password are visible in the appearing window. For safe use, it is recommended to change them. If you want to retrieve from a friend or a family member their mobile phone access, you will need to modify this password. Select the found door phone by tapping the check mark next to the identifi er mark. Then tap the icon of the already paired doorphone on the screen, so that ONLINE can be read instead of OFFLINE (doorphone is available remotely at that time only). Touch the icon again to look through the camera. You can use the buttons below the live image to turn on the mobile phone’s microphone (to speak to the visitor), the mobile speaker, start a video or take a picture. The size and viewing angle of the displayed image can also be increased. Functions of the two buttons under the picture: HANG UP – ending conversation, exit; UNLOCK – open an electric lock (option). If the look is not initiated but appreciated, a notifi cation area will appear on your mobile device. Depending on the setting, this may be accompanied by a ringing tone. You can answer the call by pressing the ANSWER key, or you can press the HANG UP key to reject it.

The „cogwheel” icon in the upper right corner provides the following functions: the option to display any photo instead of the icon (CHANGE PIC, for example, for identifying multiple homes), rename the doorphone ID (DEVICE NAME), QR code for family members (QR CODE), you can activate and personalize the Motion Detection function (MOTION DETECTION), check the connected Internet network, the doorphone can be erased from the network. In the latter case, tap the „trash” icon in the top right corner or on the previous screen (in the main menu) pull the icon of the paired doorphone to the left. Bottom icons of the main menu; DEVICES: Show all connected devices, RECORD: List of photos or videos, MESSAGE: Activity log list, SETTING: Settings menu. Options menu options: to select any ringtone from any available on mobile device, select any alarm tone, activate vibrating mode, activate „do not disturb” mode. HELP CENTER provides detailed English-language support for your device.

•  Red light around the button indicates the presence of power supply. The wireless bell can now be operated.
•  The blue light around the button will indicate the appropriate internet connection after the voice announcement.
•  In case of unsuccessful Internet connection, restart the backside RESET button for 3 seconds and restart the process.
•  The recorded photo or video recording is stored on the mobile device.
•  In case of function changing, an audio message in English is heard on the outdoor unit.
•  The third-party product of the VDP application for full operation can be changed regardless of manufacturer’s and manufacturer’s knowledge.

NIGHT CAMERA MODE
The sensitivity of colour cameras is significantly deteriorated under poor illumination conditions. To eliminate this, this unit automatically switches to black and white for better image quality.

MOTION SENSOR ALARM MODE
In the MOTION DETECTION menu, you can activate the motion sensor function. By setting ALARM DELAY, you can specify the length of time before the camera – motion (change) before sending the mobile phone signal to the doorphone. Thanks to this, you can still know about the pre-motion movement if they do not ring.

EXPANDABILITY – FAMILY MEMBERS USE

If you want to access the doorphone at the same time with multiple mobile devices through the Internet, you will also need to configure them in the system. The application can handle 8 registered mobile devices simultaneously. To do so, you need to share the code appearing in the QR CODE menu between the phones. Install the DPV application on additional phones, and in the DEVICES menu tap the „+” (Add Device) button in the upper right corner. On the next screen, select SCAN QR CODE and read the QR code displayed on the other phone, then the new device will be connected to the system. The QR code on the main mobile device to be scanned with secondary devices can be accessed directly from the „Settings” menu under the „Add Device” button in the submenu of the gear symbol in the upper right corner.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The operation of the device is complex, so it is possible to set up and / or operate by a professional service. In the event of a problem, the user is advised to restart the appliance with the factory settings and re-make the settings according to this user manual. Press the RESET button on the back of the doorphone for 3 seconds with a straightened clip. If only the wireless bell does not sound, do the same with its CODE button at the back. If you are experiencing a malfunction check the following main aspects:

•  whether connection is required
•  whether there is a network and battery power supply
•  no wire is damaged
• is the latest version of the correct application installed
•  the LED behind the dial button is lit blue
•  Have the devices configured properly
•  whether a WiFi router or other features related to the Internet have changed

CLEANING

Before cleaning, power off the device by unplugging it from the mains! Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners and liquids!Be careful, because the dust can scratch the lens of the camera if it is firmly cleaned.

WARNINGS

•  Please read the instructions carefully before use, and keep it to have it available in the future!
•  The appliance may only be connected to 230 V~/50 Hz electric standard wall outlets.
•  The operation of the device may be affected by software and hardware that are independent from the manufacturer.
•  The mobile application (s) may be changed without notice and without notice to the manufacturer of the device, and therefore, it is not guaranteed to work properly in all circumstances.
•  The manufacturer does not take responsibility for the loss or damage of data etc. even if the data etc. gets lost during the use of the device. It is recommended to make a copy of the data and tracks to your personal computer prior the use of the device.
•  Keep the cables connecting the units away from other power cords!
•  Protect it from dust, humidity, liquids, heat, dampness, frost, shock and direct thermal radiation or sunshine! Use only indoor, in dry circumstances!
•  Locate it so that direct sunlight and rainfall cannot be reached. Apply individual shades if necessary.
•  When not in use for a long time, remove the batteries and the adapter.
•  Do not touch the adapter or the connection cable with wet hands! In case of any injury of them, power off the unit!
•  Use only with the same adapter as the original! Ask your manufacturer or service if necessary.
•  Do not operate the device near strong electromagnetic fields. Abnormal operation can be caused by nearby radio equipment, which does not indicate any defective product.
•  This product is made for household use, not for industrial.
•  There is no warranty for the failures, resulting from improper installation or irresponsible use.

Caution: Risk of electric shock!
Do not attempt to disassemble of modify the unit or its accessories. In case any part is damaged, immediately power off the unit and seek the assistance of a specialist. Used or waste equipment may be dropped off free of charge at the point of sale, or at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature and function. Dispose of product at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic waste. By doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the health of others and yourself.
