Product Information
The ACH 12000 is a portable air conditioner with heating capabilities. It has a control panel that allows you to select different modes such as cool, dry, and fan. The device has wheels for easy portability and comes with a mains connection power cord.
It also has a switch-off timing function and an infra remote controller receiver window. The temperature and timing display is located on the control panel, along with the fan speed and air guiding functions. The device has a WiFi indicator and an on/off switch. The device also has a room air inlet on both the left and right sides, as well as a sunken carrying ring for easy transport. The air outlet is located on the back of the device, and there is a window outlet for directing the air flow.
Product Usage Instructions
- Locate a suitable location for the ACH 12000 where the connector plug can easily be accessed and pulled out.
- Lead the connection cable in a way that it cannot get accidentally disconnected or tripped over.
- Plug the device into a power outlet using the mains connection power cord.
- Select the desired mode using the control panel. The available modes are cool, dry, and fan.
- Adjust the fan speed and air guiding functions to your liking.
- Set the switch-off timing function if desired.
- If using the heating mode, select it from the control panel.
- Monitor the temperature and timing display on the control panel.
- If any unusual smells or sounds are detected, switch off the device and disconnect it immediately.
- When finished using the device, pull out the connector plug from the power outlet.
- Clean the device with a dry cloth.
- When the batteries have depleted, remove them immediately and replace with batteries of the same or replacement type.
- Do not expose the batteries to direct heat or sunshine, and do not open them.

CAUTIONS
- Before using the product please, read the following instructions for use and keep it for future reference. The original description was made in Hungarian language.
- This device may be operated by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with no sufficient experience or knowledge or by children above 8 years of age only in the case if they are under supervision or if such persons have been given appropriate guidance on the safe use of the device and they can understand the risks of its use. Children are not allowed to play with the device. Children are only allowed to clean the device or perform maintenance on it if they are above 8 years of age and under supervision.
- Children below 8 years of age should be kept away from the device and its mains connection power cord!
- Make sure that the device was not damaged during delivery!
- Use the device only in dry indoor conditions!
- ATTENTION: The unit may be put in operation, used and stored in a room with an area of at least 11.8 m2!
- Do not use the device for drying food or artworks or for keeping these dry!
- Place the device only on a firm horizontal surface!
- When in use, the device must stand on its wheels!
- A distance of at least 50 cm in all directions around the device should be kept clear! Please, take the relevant safety regulations of the country where the unit is used into consideration!
- Do not place the unit near a heating radiator or a stove, as radiating heat may damage the device!
- It is prohibited to use the device in places where combustible vapours or explosive powders can be released! Do not use the device in a combustible or explosive environment!
- It is PROHIBITED to use the device near a bathtub, a washbasin, shower, a swimming pool or a sauna!
- In order to provide further protection all circuits in the room containing the bathtub or the shower should be protected with one or more residual-current switches (RCDs) with a nominal tripcurrent of not greater than 30 mA! Consult with an expert!
- It is prohibited to use the device in vehicles or in confined (< 5 m2) closed spaces (such as a lift)!
- The device must not be used together with a program switch, a time switch or separate remotely controlled systems, etc. that might independently turn on the device.
- The unit should only be connected to a grounded wall socket with a voltage of 230 V~ / 50 Hz!
- Unwind the connection cable fully!
- Never touch the device and the connection cable when your hands are wet!
- Do not use an extension cable or a distribution strip for connecting the device!
- Locate the device in a way that the connector plug can easily be accessed to and pulled out!
- Lead the connection cable in a way that it could not get disconnected accidentally or no one can trip over it!
- Do not lead the connection cable underneath a carpet, a doormat, etc.!
- The unit must be operated under a constant supervision!
- It is prohibited to operate the unit near children without supervision!
- Do not cover the air inlet and outlet openings!
- Take care that no foreign objects or liquids can get into the device through the openings.
- The water accumulated in the device should be removed. Do not use it for any other purpose!
- Attention: Make sure that no water can get spilled on the connector!
- If noticing any abnormal phenomenon (e.g. if you hear an unusual noise from the device or feel a burning smell) switch the unit off and disconnect it immediately!
- Always pull out the connector plug of the socket if you leave the unit unattended or before assembly, disassembly and cleaning.
- Pull the supply cable out of the socket by gripping the connector plug and not the cable itself.
- The batteries may only be replaced by an adult person!
- When inserting the batteries make sure to observe the right polarity!
- Never use batteries of different brands and/or charging levels together!
- After replacing the batteries fasten the lid of the battery compartment!
- Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the device for a longer period of time!
- If there are leaking batteries in the unit, wear protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth!
- When the batteries have depleted, remove them immediately!
- Attention: There is a risk of explosion if the batteries are replaced inappropriately! They should only be changed with batteries of the same or the replacement type!
- Do not expose the batteries to direct heat or sunshine! It is prohibited to open the batteries, to throw them into fire or short-circuit them!
- It is prohibited to charge non-rechargeable batteries! Risk of explosion!
- Do not use an accumulator instead of batteries, because its voltage and efficiency are lower!
- Do not weld or solder anything directly to the battery!
- Batteries not used should be stored in their original package away from metal objects.
- Unpacked batteries should not be mixed or blended together!

FURTHER WARNINGS FOR APPLIANCES FILLED WITH R290 REFRIGERATOR
Before installation
- To avoid damage, place the unit in an upright position for at least 24 hours before initiation. Make sure that the air outlet and air inlet are never blocked.
- Only operate the unit on a horizontal surface to ensure no water leaks out.
WARNINGS
- Do not exceed impedance greater than 0.236 ohm in supply the appliance is connected to. Failure to comply may lead the supply authority to impose restrictions to connection. Please consult your energy supply authority if the use of equipment exceeds 0.236 ohms.
- Any person who is involved with working on or breaking into a refrigerant circuit should hold a currently valid certificate from an industry-accredited assessment authority. Which authorizes their competence to handle refrigerants safety in accordance with industry-recognized assessment specifications.
- Remember the environment when disposing of packaging around the appliance and when the appliance has reached its by date.
- Awarning that the appliance shall be stored in a well-ventilated area where the size corresponds to the room area as specified for operation.

- When the portable air conditioner or dehumidifier is turned on, the fan can work continuously stable under normal conditions to provide the minimum air volume of 100m3/h even when the compressor is closed due to the temperature controller.

- Maintenance and repairs requiring the assistance of other qualified personnel must be carried out under the supervision of specialists in the use of inflammable refrigerants.

CAUTION: ON FIRE READ THE MAUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE!
R290 refrigerant gas complies with European environmental directives. This appliance contains approximately 245 g of R290 refrigerant gas. Appliance shall be installed, operated and stored in a room with a floor area larger than 11.8 m2.
Instruction, Repairing Appliances Containing R 290
- Checking the area
- Prior to beginning work on systems containing flammable refrigerants, safety checks are necessary to ensure that the risk of ignition is minimised. For repair to the refrigerating system, the following precaution shall be completed prior to conducting work on the system.
- Work procedure
- Work must be carried out according to a verified procedure so as to minimise the risk of a flammable gas or vapour being present while the work is being performed.
- General work area
- All maintenance staff and others working in the local area shall be instructed on the nature of work being carried out. Work in confined spaces shall be avoided.
- Checking for presence of refrigerant
- The area shall be checked with an appropriate refrigerant detector prior to and during work, to ensure the technician is aware of potentially toxic or flammable atmospheres. Ensure that the leak detection equipment being used is suitable for use with all applicable refrigerants, i.e. nonsparking, adequately sealed or intrinsically safe.
- Presence of fire extinguisher
- If any hot work is to be conducted on the refrigerating equipment or any associated parts, appropriate fire extinguishing equipment shall be available to hand. Have a dry powder or CO2 fire extinguisher adjacent to the charging area.
- No ignition sources
- No person carrying out work in relation to a refrigerating system which involves exposing any pipe work shall use any sources of ignition, in such a manner that it may lead to the risk of fire or explosion. All possible ignition sources, including cigarette smoking, should be kept sufficiently far away from the site of installation, repairing, removing and disposal, during which refrigerant can possibly be released to the surrounding space. Prior to work taking place, the area around the equipment is to be surveyed to make sure that there are no flammable hazards or ignition risks. “No Smoking” signs shall be displayed.
- Ventilated area
- Ensure that the area is in outdoors or that it is adequately ventilated before breaking into the system or conducting any hot work. A degree of ventilation shall continue during the period that the work is carried out. The ventilation should safely disperse any released refrigerant and preferably expel it externally into the atmosphere.
- Checks to the refrigerating equipment
- Where electrical components are being changed, they shall be fit for the purpose and to the correct specification. At all times the manufacturer’s maintenance and service guidelines shall be followed. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer’s technical department for assistance. The following checks shall be applied to installations using flammable refrigerants:
- the actual refrigerant charge is in accordance with the room size within which the refrigerant-containing parts are installed;
- the ventilation machinery and outlets are operating adequately and are not obstructed;
- marking to the equipment continues to be visible and legible. Markings and signs that are illegible shall be corrected;
- refrigerating pipe or components are installed in a position where they are unlikely to be exposed to any substance which may corrode refrigerant-containing components unless the components are constructed of materials which are inherently resistant to being corroded or are suitably protected against being so corroded.
- Checks to electrical devices
- Repair and maintenance to electrical components shall include initial safety checks and component inspection procedures. If a fault exists that could compromise safety, then no electrical supply shall be connected to the circuit until it is satisfactorily dealt with. If the fault cannot be corrected immediately but it is necessary to continue operation, an adequate temporary solution shall be used. This shall be reported to the owner of the equipment so all parties are advised. Initial safety checks shall include:
- that capacitors are discharged: this shall be done in a safe manner to avoid the possibility of sparking;
- that no live electrical components and wiring are exposed while charging, recovering or purging the system;
- that there is continuity of earth bonding.
- Repairs to sealed components
- During repairs to sealed components, all electrical supplies shall be disconnected from the equipment being worked upon prior to any removal of sealed covers, etc. If it is absolutely necessary to have an electrical supply to equipment during servicing, then a permanently operating form of leak detection shall be located at the most critical point to warn of a potentially hazardous situation.
- Particular attention shall be paid to the following to ensure that by working on electrical components, the casing is not altered in such a way that the level of protection is affected. This shall include damage to cables, excessive number of connections, terminals not made to original specification, damage to seals, incorrect fitting of glands, etc. Ensure that the apparatus is mounted securely. Ensure that seals or sealing materials have not degraded to the point that they no longer serve the purpose of preventing the ingress of flammable atmospheres. Replacement parts shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Repair to intrinsically safe components
- Do not apply any permanent inductive or capacitance loads to the circuit without ensuring that this will not exceed the permissible voltage and current permitted for the equipment in use. Intrinsically safe components are the only types that can be worked on while living in the presence of a flammable atmosphere. The test apparatus shall be at the correct rating. Replace components only with parts specified by the manufacturer. Other parts may result in the ignition of refrigerant in the atmosphere from a leak.
- Cabling
- Check that cabling will not be subject to wear, corrosion, excessive pressure, vibration, sharp edges or any other adverse environmental effects. The check shall also take into account the effects of aging or continual vibration from sources such as compressors or fans.
- Detection of flammable refrigerants
- Under no circumstances shall potential sources of ignition be used in the search for or detection of refrigerant leaks. A halide torch (or any other detector using a naked flame) shall not be used.
- Removal and evacuation
- When breaking into the refrigerant circuit to make repairs – or for any other purpose – conventional procedures shall be used. However, for flammable refrigerants, it is important that best practice is followed since flammability is a consideration. The following procedure shall be adhered to:
- remove refrigerant;
- purge the circuit with inert gas;
- evacuate;
- purge with inert gas;
- open the circuit by cutting or brazing.
- The refrigerant charge shall be recovered into the correct recovery cylinders. For appliances containing flammable refrigerants, the system shall be purged with oxygen-free nitrogen to render the appliance safe for flammable refrigerants. This process may need to be repeated several times. Compressed air or oxygen shall not be used for purging refrigerant systems. For appliances containing flammable refrigerants, refrigerant purging shall be achieved by breaking the vacuum in the system with oxygen-free nitrogen and continuing to fill until the working pressure is achieved, then venting to the atmosphere, and finally pulling down to a vacuum. This process shall be repeated until no refrigerant is within the system. When the final oxygen-free nitrogen charge is used, the system shall be vented down to atmospheric pressure to enable work to take place. This operation is absolutely vital if brazing operations on the pipework are to take place. Ensure that the outlet for the vacuum pump is not close to any potential ignition sources and that ventilation is available.
- Charging procedures
- In addition to conventional charging procedures, the following requirements shall be followed.
- Ensure that contamination of different refrigerants does not occur when using charging equipment. Hoses or lines shall be as short as possible to minimise the amount of refrigerant contained in them.
- Cylinders shall be kept in an appropriate position according to the instructions.
- Ensure that the refrigerating system is earthed prior to charging the system with refrigerant.
- Label the system when charging is complete (if not already).
- Extreme care shall be taken not to overfill the refrigerating system.
- Prior to recharging the system, it shall be pressure tested with the appropriate purging gas. The system shall be leak tested on completion of charging but prior to commissioning. A follow-up leak test shall be carried out prior to leaving the site.
- Decommissioning
- Before carrying out this procedure, it is essential that the technician is completely familiar with the equipment and all its detail. It is recommended good practice that all refrigerants are recovered safely. Prior to the task being carried out, an oil and refrigerant sample shall be taken in case analysis is required prior to reuse of recovered refrigerant. It is essential that electrical power is available before the task is commenced.
- Become familiar with the equipment and its operation.
- Isolate system electrically.
- Before attempting the procedure, ensure that:
- mechanical handling equipment is available, if required, for handling refrigerant cylinders;
- all personal protective equipment is available and being used correctly;
- the recovery process is supervised at all times by a competent person;
- recovery equipment and cylinders conform to the appropriate standards.
- Pump down refrigerant system, if possible.
- If a vacuum is not possible, make a manifold so that refrigerant can be removed from various parts of the system.
- Make sure that cylinder is situated on the scales before recovery takes place.
- Start the recovery machine and operate it in accordance with instructions.
- Do not overfill cylinders (no more than 80 % volume liquid charge).
- Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of the cylinder, even temporarily.
- When the cylinders have been filled correctly and the process completed, make sure that the cylinders and the equipment are removed from site promptly and all isolation valves on the equipment are closed off.
- Recovered refrigerant shall not be charged into another refrigerating system, unless it has been cleaned and checked.
- Labelling
- Equipment shall be labelled stating that it has been decommissioned and emptied of refrigerant. The label shall be dated and signed. For appliances containing flammable refrigerants, ensure that there are labels on the equipment stating the equipment contains flammable refrigerant.
- Recovery
- When removing refrigerant from a system, either for servicing or decommissioning, it is recommended good practice that all refrigerants are removed safely.
- When transferring refrigerant into cylinders, ensure that only appropriate refrigerant recovery cylinders are employed. Ensure that the correct number of cylinders for holding the total system charge is available. All cylinders to be used are designated for the recovered refrigerant and labelled for that refrigerant (i.e. special cylinders for the recovery of refrigerant). Cylinders shall be complete with pressure relief valve and associated shutoff valves in good working order. Empty recovery cylinders are evacuated and, if possible, cooled before recovery occurs.
- The recovery equipment shall be in good working order with a set of instructions concerning the equipment that is at hand and shall be suitable for the recovery of all appropriate refrigerants including, when applicable, flammable refrigerants. In addition, a set of calibrated weighing scales shall be available and in good working order. Hoses shall be complete with leakfree disconnect couplings and in good condition. Before using the recovery machine, check that it is in satisfactory working order, has been properly maintained and that any associated electrical components are sealed to prevent ignition in the event of a refrigerant release. Consult manufacturer if in doubt. The recovered refrigerant shall be returned to the refrigerant supplier in the correct recovery cylinder, and the relevant waste transfer note arranged. Do not mix refrigerants in recovery units and especially not in cylinders.
- If compressors or compressor oils are to be removed, ensure that they have been evacuated to an acceptable level to make certain that flammable refrigerant does not remain within the lubricant. The evacuation process shall be carried out prior to returning the compressor to the suppliers. Only electric heating to the compressor body shall be employed to accelerate this process. When oil is drained from a system, it shall be carried out safely.
PUTTING INTO OPERATION
- As shown in Figure 3.1, leave a free space of min. 50 cm on each side of the device.
- The room temperature should be between 12 °C and 32 °C.
Connecting the air outlet tube
- So that the device can work efficiently, its air should be led out of the room. Connect the air outlet tube to the back of the device. At the other end of the tube the reducer adapter is attached (component 6) that can be used in the case of parallel window openings as shown in Figures 3.3.
- It is very important to use the shortest possible tube length. It is recommended to lead the tube horizontally. If necessary, the maximum deviation from horizontal can be 45°. (Figure 3.2)
- Do not lead the tube according to the crossed out picture in Figure 3.2, because that solution can result in an operating trouble. The length of the tube is specified for this device (max. 150 cm), therefore do not extend the tube!
Connecting the water outlet pipe
Mainly when the device has been working in drying mode (DRY), vapour or water can condense from the air and get accumulated in the built-in tank of the device. When the water tank is full, the code „FL” appears on the display. If this happens, switch off and disconnect the unit and roll it to a place where the water can be drained through the draining stud. After emptying the tank replace the cap and put the unit into operation again. You can also choose continuous water drainage. To do so connect the water outlet pipe to the water draining stud. Water condensed during operation will leave via this pipe.
Remote controller
- Put two 1.5 V (AAA) batteries in the remote controller. Make sure to position the batteries in accordance with their right polarity! Avoid the use of batteries of different makes and/or charging levels together!
Connecting to the mains
- Connect the device to a standard 230 V / 50 Hz grounded wall socket. Now the device is ready for operation.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE
For optimum operation clean the device at a frequency depending on the extent of its contamination, but at least at two-week intervals and also clean the air filters at the air inlet openings.
- Before cleaning switch off and disconnect the unit by pulling out the connecting plug!
- Using a damp cloth clean the external surfaces. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents! No water is allowed to get inside the device and in contact with the electrical components!
- First tilt the large air filter backwards as shown in Figure 4 and then pull the two small air filters on the right and left side out of the device. Clean them using lukewarm water. After drying put the filters back in their position.
- Only now can the fan be placed back in operation again!
If you do not intend to use the device for a longer time, disconnect it and drain the water through the water drain stud. Remove the air outlet tube. Dry the inside of the device as described in connection with the fan mode. Take the batteries out of the remote controller. Store the device and its accessories in a cool and dry place.

DISPOSAL
Waste equipment must be collected and disposed separately from household waste because it may contain components hazardous to the environment or health. Used or waste equipment may be dropped off free of charge at the point of sale, or at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature and function. Dispose of product at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic waste. By doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the health of others and yourself. If you have any questions, contact the local waste management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to the manufacturer as prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any associated costs arising.
DISPOSING OF ALKALINE AND RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
Batteries, whether alkaline or rechargeable, must not be handled together with regular household waste. It is the legal obligation of the product’s user to dispose of batteries at a nearby collection center or at a retail shop. This ensures that the batteries are ultimately neutralized in an environment- friendly way.

FUNCTIONS, MODES
- Connect the unit directly to a wall socket. The LED display will show the room temperature.
- To switch on the unit press button . The unit will start operating in fan (FAN) mode.
- Fan speed can be set using the button SPEED, or the speed selector buttons HIGH (high), MID (medium) and LOW (low) on the remote controller.
- Airflow can be adjusted in directions up/down using the air-guiding lamellas. This function can be turned on or off using the SWING button.
- Timer: Using the TIMER button, you can activate the switch-off time during operation and the switch-on time in standby mode. Duration can be adjusted between 1 and 24 hours in hourly steps using the UP and DOWN buttons.
Press the MODE button on the unit or select the desired mode – cooling (COOL), ventilation (FAN), drying (DRY), heating (HEAT) – using the buttons on the remote controller. Restarting the device or changing the mode during operation may take even 3 minutes due to the protection of the device.
In cooling mode (COOL): The temperature can be adjusted between 16 °C and 30°C. You can increase and decrease the temperature in 1 °C steps using the buttons and , respectively. All three-speed stages can be selected. The compressor will switch on at a temperature higher than the pre-set value and start to cool the air. As soon as the set temperature is reached, the compressor will stop and the fan will continue to run in the set stage.
In fan mode (FAN): The device operates as a simple fan and the compressor does not switch on. By keeping the SPEED button depressed for 5 seconds in this mode you will switch on the function that dries out the internal parts of the device. By keeping the SPEED button depressed for another 5 seconds you can switch this function off. In this way it is possible to dry out the inner parts of the device before putting it out of operation for a longer period of time.
Drying mode (DRY)
If the room temperature is ≥17 °C, the compressor will switch on and run until the room temperature reaches ≤15°. If the temperature reaches 17 °C again, the compressor will switch on again. The fan is running in a low stage that cannot be set higher. In this mode the temperature cannot be set. It is recommended to apply continuous water drainage in this mode (Figure 5), as otherwise the water tank would get full too often (indication “FL”).
In heating mode (HEAT): The temperature can be increased and decreased in 1 °C steps by using the buttons and , respectively. All the three speed stages of the fan can be selected. The air outlet tube of the device must be connected also in this mode and it should be led out of the room.
To switch off the device and put it in the standby mode press the button.
CONTROL WITH AN APPLICATION
As a first step, use your smart phone to read in the QR code shown in Figure 6. (Android 6.0 and iOS 11.0 or later). In this way you can install the TUYAbased Smart Life application.
After installing the Smart Life application, create a new account or enter your existing account. When creating a new account, your country will be automatically recognised; if not, select it from the list. Give your email address and request a checking code. When the code arrives at your email address, enter the code into the application and then give a log-in password that you will use to enter the application in the future. Now by pressing the Add device or the upper right ”+” sign you can add the portable air conditioner with heating to the application:
- The portable air conditioner should be under voltage in standby mode, i.e. it should not be in operating mode.
- Keep the SPEED button depressed for 5 seconds until the WIFI indicator starts flashing quickly (2 flashes per second).
- Acknowledge in the application that the WIFI indicator is flashing quickly.
- Select the 2.4 GHz WIFI network in which the device will operate and enter the network password.
The matching process will start and finally the device will appear in the application:
- Thereafter the unit can be switched on and off and controlled from the application even remotely.
