Safety Instructions

Position on a flat, stable surface.

A service agent/qualified technician should carry out installation and any repairs if required. Do not remove any components on this product.

DO NOT overfill the appliance.

DO NOT allow the appliance to boil dry.

DO NOT drink directly from the spout.

DO NOT tilt or overturn the Airpot.

DO NOT touch hot surfaces with bare hands.
Always use the handles. -
DO NOT block the steam vent.

DO NOT carry the appliance when full.

DO NOT dispense liquid when holding the appliance by the handle.

Use extreme caution when operating appliances that contain hot liquids.

Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.

Not suitable for outdoor use.

Do not fill the inner pot with anything other than water.

Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the packaging in accordance to the regulations of local authorities.

If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Buffalo agent or a recommended qualified technician in order to avoid a hazard.

Buffalo recommend that this appliance should be periodically tested (at least annually) by a Competent Person. Testing should include, but not be limited to: Visual Inspection, Polarity Test, Earth Continuity, Insulation Continuity and Functional Testing.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.

Buffalo recommend that this product is connected to a circuit protected by an appropriate RCD (Residual Current Device).
Introduction
Please take a few moments to carefully read through this manual. Correct maintenance and operation of this machine will provide the best possible performance from your Buffalo product.
Pack Contents
The following is included: Buffalo Airpot – 4.7L
Buffalo prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of
packaging the contents are supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit, please contact your Buffalo
dealer immediately.
Operation

Lift the latch to open the lid.
-
Fill the appliance with liquid. Do not fill above the “MAX” line.

Close the lid, ensuring it locks firmly in place.
-
Plug in the power cord and connect it to the mains power supply.
-
The Boiling indicator lights up and the appliance begins to heat.
-
Press the temperature button to set the desired water temperature for keeping warm.(Press the button repeatedly to toggle between 98°C/85°C/60°C/50°C/40°C.)
Note: The appliance will take approximately 35 minutes to heat up when filled with cold water. -
Once the correct temperature has been reached, the Keep Warm indicator lights up and the appliance is ready to dispense.
Warning: There is a danger of scalding when opening the lid during and after use. Take care to avoid the expulsion of steam.
Dispense Liquid

Reboil

It may be necessary to reheat the water in the appliance.

Press the Reboil button to reboil the water.
Lock/Unlock the control panel -
To lock/unlock the control panel, press the Lock/Unlock button.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down before cleaning and maintenance.
- Use soapy water and a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the appliance.
- Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
- NEVER immerse the appliance in water.
De-scaling
For the best water quality, Buffalo recommend that a water filter is installed
to the mains water supply, particularly in hard water areas. Doing so will
reduce the build up of limescale and contaminants in the water tank thus
maintaining energy efficiency and prolonging the life of the appliance.
To de-scale the appliance:
- Fill the inner pot with water and lemon juice (or a suitable de-scaler), and boil.
- Discard the solution. Note: Always run water through the appliance after de-scaling to rinse the inner pot and tubes.
Note: Use a suitable de-scaler and always follow the instructions on the packaging. Buffalo recommends that this appliance is de-scaled every 3 months or more frequently in hard water areas.
IMPORTANT : Failure to de-scale or maintain will invalidate your guarantee.

protection is activated| Allow to cool thoroughly before re-filling

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead. The plug is to
be connected to a suitable mains socket. This appliance is wired as follows:
- Live wire (colored brown) to terminal marked L
- Neutral wire (colored blue) to terminal marked N
- Earth wire (colored green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician. Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.
