LED Exit Sign
Safety Instructions
Read and follow all safety instructions. When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
- All wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Disconnect power before installing or servicing. This fixture must be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable to local codes and ordinances.
- Proper grounding is required to ensure personal safety.
- Do NOT use this equipment for other than its intended use.
- WARNING: Make certain power is OFF before installing or maintaining the fixture. No user-serviceable parts inside.
- WARNING: When re-lamping, only use lamps specified in the exit sign. Using other lamp types may result in transformer damage or unsafe conditions
- WARNING: The battery in this unit may not be fully charged. After electricity is hooked up to the unit, let the battery charge for at least 24 hours. Then the normal operation of this unit should take effect (when applicable).
- WARNING: Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not be subject to tampering by unauthorized personnel. Flexible conduit only.
- WARNING: do NOT use outdoors.
- WARNING: do NOT mount near gas or electric heaters.

Converting for Dual-Sided Operation
- Carefully remove the blank panel using a flat-head screwdriver to release tabs.
- Install an additional “exit” panel in place of the removed panel.

Important: Read all instructions prior to installation.
LED Exit Sign Top or Side Mounting Installation

Turn off supply power.

Carefully remove one of the panels using a flathead screwdriver to release tabs.
Note: If the unit will need both sides to use “exit” panels, the blank panel should be removed for this step. -
Run the wiring through the mounting bracket, then attach the mounting bracket to light.

Install crossbar bracket on junction box.

Connect wiring to the junction box, corresponding to voltage. Cap unused wire.
Note: Red and black wires should never be connected at the same time. -
Securely attach to crossbar/junction box.

Connect the battery to the board.

Reinstall panel and install directional arrow covers as needed.

Turn on AC supply and allow the battery pack to charge for at least 24 hours before the initial test.

After a 24-hour period, press test button to make certain light is functioning as intended.

Rear Wall Mount Installation

Turn off supply power.

Carefully remove the “exit” panel using a flathead screwdriver to release tabs.

Create holes in the blank panel for wiring and mounting in the blank panel.

Connect wiring to the junction box, corresponding to voltage. Cap unused wire.
Note: Red and black wires should never be connected at the same time. -
Mount to junction box/surface.

Reinstall the “exit” panel, and install directional arrow covers as needed.

Turn on the AC supply and allow the battery pack to charge for at least 24 hours before initial use.

After a 24-hour period, press the test button to make certain the light is functioning as intended.
