This document is the user manual and contains all the information for correct, efficient and safe use of the product.

This user manual is addressed to the end user. Read this information carefully before installing or using the product.

Product description

 The Nedis CLAR009BK is an alarm clock radio that can project the time on the ceiling or wall.

The projection brightness/focus can be adjusted by turning the wheel under the projection lens.

The alarm clock radio can store up to 10 AM/FM frequencies.

Intended use

The product is exclusively intended as an alarm clock radio that projects the current time.

Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Safety instructions

WARNING

  • Only use the product as described in this manual.

  • Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, naked flames or heat.
  • Please check electrical and safety instructions before use.
  • Plug the power supply into a protective power outlet.
  • Disconnect the product from the electrical outlet and other equipment if problems occur.
  • Do not cover ventilation openings.

Installation

  • Check the contents of the package
  • Check that all parts from the parts list are present and that no damage is visible on the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website: www.nedis.com.
Connect to the mains

  • Plug the AC power plug into a power outlet.
Install the backup batteries
  • Inserting batteries ensures a continuous operation during power failure. This way your alarms and presets will not be lost and the time will not be reset.

1. Open the battery compartment a.

2. Place 2 AAA batteries (not included).

3. Close the battery compartment.

Use

Set the time

1. Hold 10. The time display will start blinking.

2. Press 6 and/or 8 to adjust the time.

3. Press  again to confirm the set time. The time display will stop blinking.

Set the alarm
  • You can set two separate alarms with the alarm clock radio. This way you can for instance set a different alarm during the weekend. To set alarm 1:

1. Press 7 for 3 seconds. The indicator LED i will start blinking.

2. Press 6 and/or 8 to adjust the time.

3. Press 7 again when the desired time is set to select the alarm sound. You can choose between a buzzer sound or radio mode.

  • 4. After 4 seconds, the selected alarm time will blink for 3 seconds to indicate the alarm is saved. The display will return to the current time and the indicator LED 17 will stop blinking.
  • To set alarm 2, press 9 for 3 seconds and repeat the steps.
Activate / deactivate the alarm
  • While the radio is turned off, respectively press 7 or 9 to activate or deactivate alarm 1 or 2.
  • When an alarm is activated, respectively the 14 / 15 / 16 / 17 indicator LED will light up depending on the selected alarm and alarm sound.
Snooze the alarm

1. Press  SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER  e to snooze the alarm. The active alarm indicator LED will start blinking. After 9 minutes the alarm will go off again.

Turn off the alarm

1. Press w to turn off the alarm until the following day.

  • The alarm stops automatically after 60 minutes and the device switches off.
Project the time

The time can be projected from the projection lens 2.

1. Press 5 to turn on the projector.

2. Adjust the projection focus by turning the projector focus wheel 3.

Dim the projector

1. While the radio is turned off, press  SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER  e to dim the time projection.

Listen to radio

1. Press 11 to turn on the radio.

2. Press 11 to switch between AM or FM mode.

Tune to radio frequencies

1. Press 6 and/or 8 to manually adjust the frequency. Hold 6 and/or 8 to automatically search for the next/previous station.

Save radio presets
  • The alarm clock radio can store up to 10 AM/FM frequencies.

1. Hold q for 3 seconds. A preset number will show and blink on the display

2. Press 6 and/or 8 to select the desired preset number between p1-p10.

3. Press q to confirm. The radio preset has now been saved.

  • Repeat the above steps for every frequency you want to save.
Switch between radio presets
  • While the radio is turned on, repeatedly press q to switch between radio presets.
Adjust the radio volume

1. Press 9 to increase the volume.

2. Press 7 to decrease the volume.

Set sleep mode
  • With sleep mode, you can fall asleep while listening to the radio. The radio will automatically turn off after the set time has expired. To activate sleep mode:

1. While the radio is turned on, Press  SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER  e. The number 90 will show up on the display 1. This indicates the remaining time until the radio will automatically turn off.

2. Repeatedly press  SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER  e to decrease the timer in steps of 10 minutes.

Maintenance

  •  Clean the product regularly with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Avoid abrasives that can damage the surface.
  • Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.

 Any changes and/or modifications to the product will void the warranty. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper use of the product.
