Button/Coin Battery Warnings

- Immediately dispose of used batteries and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash.
- Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.
- Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries, such as alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
- Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove and immediately discard batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time.
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 158°F or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
Components and Controls
Instructions
- Install battery by removing screw(s) and opening battery compartment. Install LR44 battery in correct polarity, close compartment and replace screw(s).
- Push the OFF ON button to turn caliper on.
- To toggle measurement between inches and millimeters, press in/mm button.
- With jaws closed, press ZERO to set readout to 0.
- To measure outside of object, set the bottom prongs outside object being measured. Slide the jaws together until they gently contact the item.
- To measure inside of object, set the top prongs inside object being measured. Spread prongs apart until they touch surface of object.
- Press OFF ON button to turn Caliper off. Caliper also has an automatic OFF function.
Maintenance and Servicing
Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Keep body face clean. Prevent liquid from getting into slider.
- Face should be cleaned with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Lubricate body with a few drops of clock oil.
- Keep battery compartment clean and free of corrosion.
Note: Do not clean with acetone or alcohol.
Battery Removal and Replacement
- Remove screw(s) and open battery compartment.
- Remove battery and dispose of properly.
- Insert new LR44 battery in correct polarity, close compartment and replace screw(s).
Note: Keep batteries out of reach of children. Keep batteries in original package until ready to use. Discard used batteries immediately. Do not allow children to play with devices containing batteries.
Troubleshooting
Follow all safety precautions whenever diagnosing or servicing the tool.
Remove battery before service.

We will return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of returning the product.
