Extol Premium Mini Circular Saw Blades

These saw blades have been manufactured in accordance with the requirements of norm for saw blades EN 847-1:2013.

  • Prior to starting work, it is necessary to carefully read this user‘s manual and to subsequently follow the provided instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  •  Saw blades must only be used by trained persons with experience, having knowledge about the use and handling of the tool. Where appropriate, the following information regarding safe work procedures must be provided.
  •  Before installing or replacing a saw blade, always disconnect the power cord of the saw from the power source.
  •  Use appropriate safety gloves when handling the saw blade. There is a risk of injury by the sharp saw blade teeth. The saw blade heats up during the cutting process and the operator may suffer burns if it is touched without suitable gloves. Always allow it to cool down before replacing it.
  •  During use, the saw blade must rotate in the direction of the arrow shown on the saw blade.
  •  Under no condition may the maximum permissible rotation speed marked onA the saw blade be exceeded.
  •  Check that the saw blade fastening nut is correctly tightened.
  •  Do not cut materials that could contain nails, screws, staples or other metal items.
  •  The saw blade is not designed for cutting any materials other than wood and soft plastics.
  •  Perform the cut without applying excessive pressure on the saw in the cutting direction.
  •  If possible, it is recommended to clamp the material that is being cut on both ends using appropriate clamps.
  •  In the event that the saw blade is cutting slower than usual, or when the cutting results are significantly worse, it means that the saw blade is blunt and requires sharpening. Using a blunt saw blade may result in splinters being dangerously ejected, overheating of the saw blade, or the saw blade may even crack.
  •  Sharpening of the saw blade and repairs of parts that cannot be disassembled (excluding cracks, which must not be repaired) may only be performed by a profes-sionally competent person, i.e. a person trained and with experience and knowledge of construction requirements and that is aware of the level of safety that must be ensured. For repairs, only such spare parts may be used that meet the specifications of the original parts supplied by the manufacturer. Tolerances must be adhered to that ensure correct clamping. When grinding, it must be taken into consideration that the hub and the connection between the hub and the blade must not be weakened.
  •  Using any kind of damaged saw blade, e.g. with broken off teeth, cracks or warped body is forbidden.
  •  A saw blade with a cracked body must not be used and must be put out of operation. Repair is not possible.
  •  The saw blade must be fastened in such a way that it cannot be spontaneously released during operation.
  •  All fastening surfaces must be cleaned from dirt, grease, oil and water.
  •  Only pressed or glued on solid rings may be used for setting the size of the saw blade hole to the diameter of the shaft. Using loose rings is not permitted.

MAINTENANCE

  •  Tools must be mounted very carefully to ensure that the tool is clamped by the clamping surface and that cutting blades are not touching each other or touching the clamping elements or safety elements of the saw.
  •  Only the original fastening elements supplied by the manufacturer for the given circular saw may be used to fasten the saw blade. The fact that the saw blade can be attached to the saw does not mean that it is safe to work with it.
  •  The saw blade fastening elements must only be tightened using suitable tools or to a torque specified by the manufacturer. Extending the length of arms of the tightening wrenches or using hammer impacts is not permitted.
  •  The saw blade fastening elements must only be installed and tightened accor-ding to the instructions of the manufacturer of the circular saw.
  •  To achieve proper cutting results and to ensure safety, always keep the saw blade clean and sharp.
  •  The saw blade must be cleaned regularly. Parts made from light alloys must be cleaned, for example, from resin, only using solvents that will not affect the mechanical characteristics of the materials.
  •  Have saw blades repaired at an authorised service centre.
  •  After maintenance or sharpening the saw blade, it must be ensured that the saw blade conforms to the requirements for balance and that it rotates symmetrically (during rotation it does not follow a rotational ellipsoid, i.e. must not be warped).

ATTENTION
The saw blade is intended exclusively for use on circular saws. The fact that the saw blade is potentially installed in another machi-ne may lead to dangerous situations. During work, it is necessary to use protection aids: safety glasses/goggles, respirator with a filtration class of at least P2 (based on the harmfulness of the cut material – dust from certain woods is considered to be a carcinogen and likewise breathing in dust from chemically trea-ted wood is damaging to health. Please consult a store selling protective aids about the sufficient level of protection against the harmful effects of dust from cut materials. Also use suitable hearing protection and work gloves during work. Do not put your hands in the cutting area. It is necessary to adhere to workplace safety regulations relating to this type of activity.
