INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
W Track Surface Mount 120V
WT4, WT8, WT12
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
IMPORTANT: NEVER attempt any work without shutting off the electricity.
- Read all of these instructions before installing the track system.
- Turn off power at main switch before installing or modifying the system.
- Do not install within 6 inches of any curtain or combustible materials.
- Do not install less than 5 feet above a floor.
- Do not install in damp or wet locations.
- Do not install concealed, or extended through building walls.
- Do not attempt to energize anything other than a track light fixture.
- Do not connect a track to more than one branch circuit. Although track light system may seem to operate acceptably, a dangerous overload of the neutral may occur and result in a risk of fire.
- Check with a qualified electrician before wiring.
- All of the installations shall be in accordance with NEC and all local codes.
- Save these installation instructions and refer to them when additions or changes to the track configuration are made.
MOUNTING OPTIONS
A: Surface Mount
- Mounting slots can be knocked out and are spaced every 12 inches for convenience.
- Mount track flush to the surface and secure screws (included).
B: Toggle Bolt Mount
- Mounting slots can be knocked out and are spaced every 12 inches for convenience.
- Hang track from the surface using toggle bolts (included).
C: T-Bar Grid Mount
- Mounting slots can be knocked out and are spaced every 12 inches for convenience.
- Use WAC’s T-BARCLIP to mount track to 15/16” t-bar grid systems.
- For other t-bar grid types, source appropriate mounting hardware by others.
FEED OPTIONS
- Make sure power is off before wiring.
- Note the polarity indicator of the track and accessories.
Live End Connector (WEDL / WEDR)
- Slide live end connector into track and secured screw (FIG. 4A).
- Remove the cover.
- Bring feed through either the knock-out on the bottom of the connector or on the side of the connector (FIG. 4B).
- If bringing feed through the knock-out on the bottom of the connector be sure that the knock-out cover is installed on the side of the connector.
- Wiring (FIG. 4C).
- Replace the cover.

ACCESSORY OPTIONS
- Make sure power is off before connecting.
- Note the polarity indicator of the track and accessories
The I Connector (WPC) must be placed directly between two track sections as
shown in FIG. 5 before securing the screw.End Caps (WEC) should be inserted into the track and
secured as shown in FIG. 6. FIELD CUTTING
Cut the track, insulation material, and copper busbars with one straight cut
and remove any burrs that may have resulted from the cut as shown in FIG.

MAXIMUM LOAD
The drawings (FIG. 8A, FIG. 8B, FIG. 8C show the maximum permissible
mechanical load by 2-circuit W tracks for luminaires or other loads in
relationship to the fixation or suspension point. It includes both of the
weights of the track system.
TRACK HEAD OPTIONS
W TRACK LINE VOLTAGE / CFL TRACK HEAD
- Set circuit selector to 0.
- Set locking arm to unlock position.
- Align this tab to the slot on the track (FIG. 9A).
- Insert adapter (FIG. 9B, FIG. 9C).
- Set locking arm to lock position.
- Set circuit selector to 1 or 2.
CONVERTER (CV-2T-LV / CV-2T-MH) FOR J TRACK HEADS
- J track head insert converter (FIG. 10A).
- Set J track head ’s locking arm to lock position.
- Set circuit selector to 0.
- Set converter’s locking arm to unlock position.
- Align this tab to the slot on the track (FIG. 10B, FIG. 10C).
- Insert adapter.
- Set converter’s locking arm to lock position.
- Set circuit selector to 1 or 2.
