Product Usage Instructions

  • Installation:
    • The product should be installed by a qualified electrician following these steps:
    • Ensure power is off at the fuse box before installation to prevent electrical shock.
    • Use only with a Class 2 power unit.
    • Mount the product on a suitable wet location surface.
  • Testing Before Installation:
    • Always test the BA42WET strip operation before installing it by connecting it to a power supply to ensure it works properly and has not been damaged during shipping.
  • Shortening the Strip:
    • If the length of the strip needs to be shortened:
    • Cut the LED strip between the solder pads from the end with no wire leads.
    • If the cut end does not need a power feed connector, insert the silicone end cap over the LED strip and add silicone to waterproof seal the end.
  • Surface Preparation and Installation:
    • Clean the installation area thoroughly.
    • Remove the paper backing from the strip and firmly press it down, avoiding air bubbles.
    • Install the LL-ZIP Strain Relief Clip away from the end of the strip to prevent surface irregularities.
  • Mounting Clips:
    • Install one CL2 mounting clip every 12 inches between the LEDs and secure them using the provided screws.

Installation directly

Installation directly to the mounting surface with factory lead wire

  1. If the length of the BA42WET strip needs to be shortened on the job site, simply cut the LED strip in the between solder pads. Always cut from the end with no wire leads.luminii-BA42WET-Linear-LED-Strip-FIG-1 \(2\)
    • If the cut end does not need a power feed connector, insert the silicone end cap (EC-10MM-WET) over the BA42WET LED strip and add silicone (SIL-502-RTV) to waterproof seal the end.luminii-BA42WET-Linear-LED-Strip-FIG-1 \(3\)
  2. Clean the area thoroughly where the BA42WET strip will be installed.
    • Remove the paper backing from the BA42WET strip and firmly press down making sure there are no air bubbles that can cause surface irregularities.

  3. Install one CL2 mounting clip every 12”, in between the LEDs.

  4. Place the strain relief in the desired place. Make sure it is 3” away from the end of the strip.
    • Slide the zip tie through the strain relief opening.
    • Lay wire lead on top of strain relief.

Mounting Surface Connectors

Installation Directly to Mounting Surface using BA Connectors

Connector

  1. Check the polarity, refer to the plus sign on the power cap. Then remove the paper backing on the end of the LED Strip. Insert the LED strip into the tube, and push the strip until it touches the end wall of the tube.
    • Add silicone sealent into the tube.

  2. Clean the area thoroughly where the BA42WET strip will be installed.
    • Remove the paper backing from the BA42WET strip and firmly press down making sure there are no air bubbles that can cause surface irregularities

  3. Place the strain relief in the desired place. Make sure it is 3” away from the end of the strip.
    • Slide the zip tie through the strain relief opening.
    • Lay wire lead on top of strain relief.

RECOMMENDED LAYOUT FOR MULTIPLE ADJACENT RUNS OF LINELED FED WITH SEPARATE POWER SUPPLIES

  1. Position power supplies either in the middle of two runs or at the opposite ends. luminii-BA42WET-Linear-LED-Strip-FIG-1 \(13\)
