INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
2013 5.0L Coyote 10-rib Belt Drive System Assembly Instructions
Ford Racing Part # M-8511-M5010
NOTE: Clean and apply thread locking compound to all fasteners that do not have locking compound pre-applied.

STEP 1: Remove (6) fasteners as noted below from the front cover and water pump.

STEP 2: Install spacers into plate as shown. Use thick grease on spacers to keep them in position while the plate is being installed. Note position and orientation of the chamfered spacer and the long spacer.

STEP 3: Install plate and spacer sub-assembly to front cover as shown. Install socket head cap screws and torque 30 Nm.

STEP 4: Install pulley to alternator as shown. Using suitable pulley holding tool, torque nut to 75 Nm.

STEP 5: Install smooth idler pulley to front cover as shown. Torque fastener to 20 Nm.

STEP 6: Drill out hole shown to 19/64 in. to accommodate dowel pin. DO NOT exceed existing hole depth.

STEP 7: Press 10mm dia. pin into back of idler pulley adaptor. Do not leave more than .200” of pin exposed.

STEP 8: Install adaptor onto front cover as shown. Torque fastener to 30 Nm.

STEP 9: Install alternator sub-assembly to engine. Torque fasteners 40 Nm.

STEP 10: Sub-assemble (1) small diameter spacer to one side of smooth pulley bearing and (1) large spacer to opposite side of pulley bearing. Large spacers will face toward REAR of engine.

STEP 11: Install pulley and spacer sub-assembly to position shown. Torque fastener to 40 Nm.

STEP 12: Remove plastic cover from water pump hub using a screwdriver.

STEP 13: Install water pump pulley to hub. Hold pulley with suitable device and torque (4) fasteners 20 Nm in a criss-cross pattern.

STEP 14: Install spacers to second smooth pulley as per Step 10. Install pulley sub-assembly to position shown on plate. Torque fastener 40 Nm.

STEP 15: Install spacers onto smooth idler as per Step 10. Install pulley to position shown. Torque fastener 40 Nm.

STEP 16: Install ribbed pulley with spacers to inner-most threaded hole of plate. Torque fastener 40 Nm.

STEP 17: Install smooth idler to tensioner. Torque fastener to 40 Nm. Press 7.4mm dia. dowel pin into tensioner adaptor.
-
STEP 18: Install single-pin tensioner adaptor onto tensioner sub-assembly.
Install fastener through center hole.
Torque fastener 40 Nm.

STEP 19: Install 10-rib belt as shown.
