Important safety instructions

  1. No liability will be accepted for damage resulting from improper use or non-compliance of these instructions.
  2. This product is exclusively for private use and is not suitable for commercial use.
  3. ATTENTION! During the cleaning process or the operation do not immerse the electrical parts of the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the lint remover under running water.
  4. Do not open the product case. Do not insert any foreign objects into the inside of the product.
  5. Only use original parts and accessories and never use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and might damage the lint remover.
  6. This product may be used by children aged from 8 years and individuals with impaired physical, sensory or mental faculties and/or a lack of experience and/or knowledge when supervised or instructed regarding the safe use of the equipment and educated about the resulting risks. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  7. ATTENTION! This lint remover is not suitable to use in a bathtub or shower.

Battery

  1. Do never expose batteries to extreme temperatures, like direct sunlight or fire. Do not place the appliance on any heat source. Leaking battery acid may cause harm.
  2. Always insert batteries correctly with regard to the polarities marked on the battery and the battery compartment.
  3. ATTENTION! If the battery is incorrectly placed, there is a danger of explosion. Replace only with the same or equivalent type of battery.
  4. Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types or brands.
  5. Dispose of batteries according to waste-management regulations. If battery acid has leaked, avoid contact to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Rinse affected areas immediately after contact with the acid and wash with plenty of clean water. Seek medical advice.
  6. Swallowed batteries are lethal. Keep batteries out of the reach of children and pets. Immediately ask for medical assistance if a battery is swallowed.
  7. Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
  8. Dispose of the replaced battery in an environmentally friendly way.
  9. Batteries shall be stored in well-ventilated, dry, and cool conditions.
  10. Remove the batteries if you will not be using the appliance for an extended period of time.
  11. The danger of explosion! The batteries must not be disassembled, thrown into the fire, or short-circuited.
  12. Batteries shall be disposed of in a safe way. Only dispose of batteries in specific collection containers (contact your retailer for more information) in order to protect the environment.

Prior first use
Remove all packaging material. Clean the appliance with a mild, damp cloth.

Operation

  1. Open the battery cover.
  2. Insert two batteries (2 x AA) with regards to their polarity, then restore the battery cover.
  3. Remove the protective cap.
  4. Screw the foil tightly.
  5. Push the switch to ‘1’ to start, and to ‘0’ to stop.
  6. Move the trimmer on the sensitive cloth gently.
  7. Pull the fluff before starting to cut with the lint remover, so it is easier to remove the fluff and get a better result.

Tips for using

  1. Before first use, it is recommended to try the product on an inconspicuous area of the garment/cloth to prevent any possible damage.
  2. Make slow and steady moves when you use it.
  3. Use the protective ring for:
    – Sensitive textiles
    – Textiles with long lint and fuzz

Attention!

  1. Do not put strong pressure on the foil.
  2. The damaged foil must be replaced immediately.
  3. Do not wash with water, avoid storage in a moist place.
  4. Screw the foil tightly. Do not turn on the trimmer when the foil is loosened.
  5. Do not use an item of clothing when it is being worn; injury to self may happen.
  6. Use this item exclusively for removing lint.
  7. Do not use it in places that are not mentioned in this instruction manual.
  8. Not suitable for shaving body hair.

Cleaning and care

Attention! Do not clean the product under running water. When the lint box is around 80% full, turn off the appliance. Clean the lint box and the inner cutter.
Following detailed instructions:

  1. Turn off the lint remover.
  2. Remove the protective cap if applicable.
  3. Screw the foil to take it off.
  4. Clean the foil and the inner cutter with the brush.
  5. Clear out the lint box.
  6. Reassemble the inner cutter.
  7. Screw the foil onto the main body.

Attention! The foil is very thin! If you handle it improperly, it can be damaged easily. To avoid personal injury, do not use the lint remover if it has a damaged foil or inner cutter.

Storage

Store the product in a dry and dust free place and at room temperature.

Disposal

The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product is not to be treated as normal household waste. It must be brought to a collection point of recycling electric and electronic products.
Your local municipality can provide you with further information on this.
Make sure to sort any recyclable or compostable packaging into the proper bins!

Warranty

Leifheit AG grants a 2-year warranty for the existing quality product from the date of purchase. The warranty claims must be asserted immediately after the occurrence of a defect within the warranty period.
The warranty extends to the condition of the product.
Exempt from the warranty is:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Damage caused by improper use or handling (e.g. shock, impact, fall)
  • Negligent, improper, or non-domestic use, such as appliances installed in hairdressers, bars, restaurants, hotels, etc.
  • Damage caused by non-observance to the given instructions
  • Corrosion and/or rust caused by normal wear and tear of the lint remover or accelerated by adverse environmental conditions
  • Rechargeable battery
