ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS / INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Unpack the components carefully. Please check all parts have been removed from the packaging. Assembly and safety instruction
Ensure the lamp is plugged into a 240V, 50Hz power source.
The bulb for the lamp should be a maximum of 40W. Bulbs should be a maximum 40W with E-14 type. A bulb with higher power must not be used to prevent damage to the lamp and safety hazards.

Other safety instructions:

  • Do not operate the product with a damaged cord or plug, after the product malfunctions, or if it is dropped or appears damaged in any way.
  • Do not attempt to dismantle or repair this unit yourself. Repairs should only be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Always operate the product from a power source of 240V, 50Hz.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the product to rain, moisture or any other liquid.
  • The product should not be exposed to or placed near liquids such as vases, etc.
  • Switch off and unplug from socket when not in use and before cleaning. Remove by grasping the plug – do not pull on the cord.

Assembly of the lamp

Caution: Be sure that the electricity is turned off before proceeding with the assembly.

  1. Screw the bulb (Max 40W E14 bulb, not included) into the lamp holder.
  2. Screw the metal spacer into the holder.
  3.  Put the glass into the frame and fix it with the screws.
  4. Attach the cover on the top of the glass shade and put in the screws to fix it again.
  5. Put the screws into the cover.
  6. Connect the plug with the main supply. This touch amp comes with easy 4-way touch control. Simply touch the lamp metal parts to switch etween high-medium-low and off settings.
  7.  Insert the battery into the clock box⑧ (required 1xAA battery – not included).
  8.  Set the correct time at the dial at the back of the clock.

CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Do NOT use abrasive cleaners or sharp utensils to clean this appliance.
  • Store the item in a cool, dry place.
  • To avoid electric shock never dismantle the touch control or try to insert objects into it.
  • Avoid direct contact of the lamp with water.
  • Always carry the lamp by holding the stand and never by holding the shade.
  • Before replacing a defective bulb unplug the lamp and let it cool down for at least 10 minutes.
  • Only change the bulb if it has completely cooled down. Use a clean fluff-free cloth to change the bulb.
  • If necessary, the lamp can be cleaned with a clean dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  • Caution: please unplug it at least 10 minutes before cleaning.
  • The lamp is designed for indoor use only.
  •  If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it must be exclusively replaced by a  qualified technician.

BATTERIES

  • Keep batteries away from children and pets.
  • Do not mix used and new batteries.
  •  Remove the batteries if left for long periods.
  • Never dispose of batteries in a fire.
  • Battery disposal spent or expired batteries must be properly disposed of and recycled in compliance with local regulations. For detailed information, contact your local authority.
  • Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety, usage, and disposal instructions.

PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)
This appliance is fitted with a BS 1363 3-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 3-amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover fitted, this cover must be re-fitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged the plug must not be used. Spare fuse holders and fuses are available from electrical outlets. If the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of f safely. Attempts to insert the plug into the wrong socket is likely to cause an electric hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according to the following instructions:

The cable
A mains electricity cable contains two or three inner wires. Each has a core of copper and an outer layer of flexible plastic. This product is double insulated; the wires in the cord set are colour coded in the following way:

BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN LIVE
GREEN & YELLOW EARTH

The diagram below shows the key features of a correctly wired three-pin mains plug.

Note :
Double insulated appliances do not need the green & yellow earth wire. They may only have the Brown and Blue wires.
DISPOSAL

  • Coopers of Stortford use recyclable or recycled packaging where possible.
  •  Please dispose of all packaging, paper, cartons, packaging in accordance with your local recycling regulations.
  • Plastics, polybags – this is made from the following recyclable plastic. (ABS).
  • At the end of the product’s lifespan please check with your local council authorized household waste recycling center for disposal.
