Installing and Operating the Canopy
-
With the stroller open, orient the stroller so that you are facing the front side.
-
Locate the plastic slide locks on the bottom of each side of the canopy.
-
Keeping the canopy closed, orient it so that the apron with the pockets is toward the handle bars.
-
Align the plastic slide locks on the canopy with the top of the fittings on each side of the stroller frame. See Figure 9.
-
Push each side of the canopy firmly down along the fitting until it cannot go any further.
-
Open the canopy by pulling forward on the front edge. Also extend the apron toward the rear of the canopy.
-
Attach the side flaps with the hook and loop material just above the canopy fitting on the inside of the stroller seat. See Figure 10.
-
Place the rear apron behind the seat back and attach the hook and loop material on each side of the top of the apron to the top of the seat back. See Figure 11.
-
Locate the hook and loop straps on each back corner of the canopy.
-
Wrap each hook and loop strap around the diagonal frame tube and attach them. See Figure 12.
-
Attach the rear of the apron to the top of the seat back using the hook and loop material at the rear center of the apron.
-
The canopy and visor can be adjusted into several positions ranging from fully closed to full extended, or any position in between. See Figure 13.
-
NOTE that the top rear portion of the canopy has a roll back window. To open, pull the forward edge up, roll the flap back and secure using the elastic loop attachment.
-

WARNING
Always make sure the wheel brakes are engaged when the stroller is not being
pushed so that the stroller will not roll away.
Never leave stroller unattended, especially on a hill or incline, as the
stroller may tip over or slide.
Securing the Child
-
Note that there are three height adjustment positions for the shoulder harness straps. For a younger child, the shoulder harness straps should be positioned through the lower opening. For a taller child, the shoulder straps should be positioned through the center or top openings to ensure a good fit.
-
To change the positioning of the shoulder straps, find the ends of each strap behind the seat back. Twist the buckle on the end of each strap sideways and push it out toward the front of the seat back through the slot. To re-assemble into a different slot position, twist the buckle sideways and push it through the slot in the seat back from the front toward the back of the stroller. Release the buckle and make sure each strap is not twisted. Pull each strap toward the front of the stroller to be sure it is secure. Be sure that both shoulder straps are inserted through the slots at the SAME height.
-
Insure that both shoulder straps are attached to the waist strap buckles. See Figure 17.
-
Unlatch the waist/shoulder buckle by squeezing in on both sides of the buckle latch and removing the male ends of each buckle.
-
Carefully place the child in the stroller seat with the shoulder straps over their shoulders and chest. Then place the crotch strap between the child’s legs.
-
Bring the seat belt around the child’s waist and insert the male ends of the waist/ shoulder buckle into the female buckle. Insure that they snap into place. See Figure 18. Tighten the waist belt to be snug around the child’s waist.
-
Both the shoulder straps and the waist/crotch straps may be adjusted using the sliding buckles on these straps. See Figure 19.
WARNING
Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out.
Always use the seat belt and harness.
Seat back Positioning
The seat back can be adjusted to any position from fully upright to reclining. The fully upright position should only be used for a child that is at least 6 months old.
-
To recline the seat, release the adjustment lock tab from its locked position by pulling it away from the seat back. Continue to pull down this lock tab to adjust the seat back to the desired position. See Figure 20.
-
To adjust the seat back to a more upright position, release the adjustment lock tab from its position. Then simply pull up on the adjustment strap ring until the seat back is in the desired position. See Figure 21.
WARNING
ALWAYS insure that the seat back is secured into position. After any
adjustment, ALWAYS fully lock the recline lock tab by pushing it up into
its locked position.
Push down on the seat back to be sure it is secure.

Maintenance
All of the fittings, snaps, locks, rivets, and other hardware and plastic parts on the stroller should be inspected periodically to insure that they are secured properly and not damaged or malfunctioning. The seat belts and safety harnesses, as well as all other straps and fabric items and their stitching should also be inspected periodically to insure that they are secured properly and not loose, torn or otherwise damaged. All moving parts, such as wheels, brakes, and hinges should also be checked periodically to insure they are operating properly.
Any missing, broken, or worn components should be replaced immediately, and the stroller should not be used until they are replaced. Only original manufacturer’s components should be used. If needed, please contact Joovy at our toll-free phone number.
Fabric fading may occur if the stroller is left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. When not in use, store the stroller out of direct sun.
Cleaning
The fabric material on this stroller can be cleaned using mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth. Always allow the fabric to completely air dry before using the stroller.
The frame and wheels should always be kept clean and free of dirt and foreign matter, especially after operating the stroller in rain, snow, or other harsh environments. Use a sponge or cloth dampened with warm water and a mild detergent cleaner to clean the wheels after such use.
