IMPORTANT NOTE: Please refer to the end of this manual for all photos that are referenced in parentheses in the instructions below.
Unpacking the Product
- Remove everything from the box – stroller, front wheel, rear wheels(2), parent organizer, tire pump, and documents (not shown).
- Discard all packaging materials properly including plastic coverings.
- DO NOT allow children to play with any packaging materials.
WARNING: Adult assembly is required for this product. No tools are
required.
Unfolding the Stroller
-
Keep children away from the stroller while unfolding.
-
Orient the stroller with the seat facing up and the handlebar closest to you.
-
If necessary, release the locking latch located on the lower right side by lifting the latch off of the catch.
-
Pull up on the handlebar so that the stroller unfolds to its upright and locked position.
CAUTION: While unfolding the stroller, be careful to keep your fingers from being pinched by moving parts. -
Ensure that the stroller is completely opened and the latching mechanism is secured before ANY further assembly or use of the stroller.
WARNING: ALWAYS keep children away from the stroller when unfolding.
Possible pinching hazard – Be careful when unfolding the stroller.
Installing/Removing Rear Wheels
- Install one rear wheel by sliding it onto the axle until it clicks into place. (2)
- Repeat for another rear wheel.
- Pull-on the wheels to ensure they are installed securely.
- To remove each wheel, push up the plastic tab on the rear axle and then pull the wheel outward from the stroller. (3)
Installing/Removing the Front Wheel
Before installing the front wheel, you must lock the front forks into place.
See section on “Front Wheel Swivel Lock” below.
-
Tilt the stroller backward so that it rests on the rear wheels and the handlebar.
-
Remove the plastic protectors from the front forks and discard them properly.
-
Make sure the quick-release lever on the wheel is in the open (unlocked) position. (4)
-
Loosen the nut on the end of the front wheel axle and remove it. (5)
-
Grasp the quick-release lever and remove the axle from the wheel. (6)
-
Insert the wheel in between the two front forks so that the axle tube aligns with the holes on both forks and each end extends through the holes in the forks. (7)
-
Grasp the quick-release lever and insert the axle through one of the holes in the forks, through the tube, and then out through the other fork. (8)
NOTE: You can insert the axle from either side of the forks. -
Ensure that the quick-release lever is still in the open (unlocked) position (9), then rotate it so that it points directly away from the fork and is aligned with the fork. (10)
-
Hold the quick release lever in this position, reattach the nut to the end of the axle and tighten the nut BY HAND in a clockwise direction until it is as tight as you can get it. (11)
-
Look on the inside of both forks to check if there is a gap between the fork and the nut that is on the axle. (12) If there is any gap, hold the nut on the end of the axle and rotate the quick release lever clockwise until the gap is eliminated on BOTH forks.
NOTE: You may have to wiggle the wheel a little bit to completely close any gaps.
IMPORTANT: The quick-release lever should now still be in the open position, and it should be aligned with the fork but pointing directly away it. (13) If it is not in this position, let go of the nut on the end of the axle and rotate the quick release lever clockwise until it gets into this position. -
Ensure that NO GAP exists between the forks and the inside nut on the axle. (14) If there IS still a gap, then rotate the quick release lever clockwise one full turn and check the gap. Keep turning additional FULL turns until the gap is eliminated.
-
Push the quick-release lever to the closed (locked) position, ensuring that it is aligned with the fork.(15)
-
NOTE: It may take some force to push the lever into its closed (locked) position. HOWEVER, you should not need to wrap your fingers around the fork frame in order to close the lever.
-
If it is very easy to push the lever into the closed (locked) position, then open the lever and turn it clockwise one full turn. Then push it to the closed (locked) position. Continue to repeat this process until the lever can be closed with force.
-
If you find that after repeating this process, the lever is too difficult to close, then loosen the lever counterclockwise one full turn and try to tighten the nut on the end of the axle about a quarter of a full turn. You may need to use a wrench to tighten this nut.
-
Then repeat the process of closing the lever until it does take some force to close it.
-
Ensure that the wheel spins freely on its axle.
-
Should you ever need to remove the front wheel from the forks, rotate the quick release lever to the open (unlocked) position, hold the nut on the end of the axle, rotate the lever counterclockwise to loosen it from the nut and be able to remove the axle. Slide the wheel off the frame forks and then replace the axle and nut onto the wheel so these parts are not misplaced.
Stroller Operation
Front Wheel Swivel Lock
The stroller can be operated with the front wheel in either swivel mode or
locked mode.
- To put the front wheel into the locked mode, locate the plastic locking lever just above the front wheel.
- Push this lever to the right (clockwise) and rotate the wheel until it locks automatically in the straight position and an audible click is heard. (16)
- To unlock the front wheel and use it in swivel mode, push the lever to the left (counterclockwise) until an audible click is heard.
Rear Wheel Brakes
Always engage rear wheel brakes before placing a child in or removing a child
from the stroller.
- To engage, push down on the brake lever on either side. (17)
- To release, push down on the back of the brake lever on either side. (18)
NOTE: Gently push the stroller back and forth to ensure the brake is
fully engaged.
WARNING: Always make sure the wheel brakes are engaged when the stroller
is not being pushed so that the stroller will not roll away. Never leave

To close the canopy, push the front edge of the canopy toward the rear of the stroller.
WARNING: Possible pinching hazard – Be careful of the side hinges when opening and closing the canopy.
Operating the Front sunshade
- Locate the sunshade extension for the canopy in the mesh pocket under the canopy.
- Detach the two snaps on the mesh pocket and remove the sunshade from the pocket. (20)
- Zip the zipper all the way across the front of the canopy to attach it. (21)
- Fully open the sunshade and attach BOTH snaps on the front of it to the snaps on the sides of the front wheel frame. (22)
- When not in use, detach the front snaps, unzip the zipper and store the sunshade in the mesh pocket. Attach the two snaps on the mesh pocket. (23)
Adjusting the Seat
The seat can be adjusted to any position from fully reclined to fully upright.
- To adjust to a reclined position, use one hand to grasp the adjustment straps behind the seatback. With your other hand, grasp the locking mechanism and push down on the release lever. (24)
- Hold the release lever down and pull the locking mechanism down to lower the seatback. (25)
- To adjust to a more upright position, grasp the straps with one hand. With your other hand, grasp the locking mechanism and squeeze the buttons on both sides to release it. (26)
- Hold these buttons in and push the mechanism up to raise the seatback. (27)
WARNING: ALWAYS make certain that the recline mechanism is engaged before
placing the child in the seat, whether the seat is upright or reclined.
Using and Adjusting the Seat Restraint System
- There are three height adjustment positions for the shoulder harness. Adjust the height to the closest height above your child’s shoulders.
- To remove the shoulder harness, turn the plastic ends sideways and push them through the slots in the seatback. Reattach the harness at the proper height by reinserting the plastic ends through the slots. (28) Ensure both straps are the same height.
- To unlatch the buckle, press the center button and remove the male ends of each buckle. (29)
- Carefully place the child in the seat with the shoulder straps over their shoulders and chest. Then place the crotch strap between the child’s legs.
- Push the shoulder/waist latch posts into the crotch buckle until all parts snap into place. (30)
- Tighten the waist belt to be snug around the child’s waist.
- The shoulder, waist, and crotch straps may be adjusted using the sliding plastic rings on these straps.
WARNING: Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt. Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the restraint system. The seat is not suitable for children under 3 months.

Care & Maintenance
Maintenance
All of the fittings, snaps, locks, rivets, and other hardware and plastic
parts on the stroller should be inspected periodically to ensure that they are
secured properly and not damaged or malfunctioning. The restraint system, as
well as all other straps and fabric items and their stitching should also be
inspected periodically to ensure that they are secured properly and not loose,
torn or otherwise damaged. Please inspect the front fork and ensure that it
swivels freely. All moving parts, such
as wheels, brakes, and hinges should also be checked periodically to ensure
they are operating properly. Any missing, broken, or worn components should be
replaced immediately, and the stroller should not be used until they are
replaced. Only original manufacturer’s components should be used. If needed,
please contact Joovy at our toll-free phone number.
Cleaning
The fabric material on this stroller can be cleaned using mild household soap
or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth. Always allow the
fabric to completely air dry before using the stroller. The frame and wheels
should always be kept clean and free of dirt and foreign matter, especially
after operating the stroller in rain, snow, or other harsh environments. Use a
sponge or cloth dampened with warm water and a mild detergent cleaner to clean
the wheels after such
use.
Storage
Direct sunlight may fade fabric and dry out wheels. Store stroller indoors to
prolong its appearance. DO NOT store outdoors. Ensure that the stroller is dry
before storing for prolonged periods. Always store the stroller in a dry
environment. Store the stroller in a safe place when not in use (i.e. away
from children). DO NOT place heavy objects on top of the stroller. DO NOT
