WARNING
Failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions can result in death or serious injury
- This product shall be used ONLY when you are in a reclined or semi-reclined position. Do Not use it in a flat or completely upright position.
- This product shall be used ONLY from newborns up to 12 months or 25 lbs.
- The product shall be used for premature babies from 2 lbs. ONLY if they are medically cleared for skin-to-skin/kangaroo care.
- NEVER use this product when engaging in any activities that include standing or walking.
- NEVER use this product for co-sleeping.
SUFFOCATION HAZARD
Babies younger than 4 months can suffocate while using this product if their face is pressed tightly against their body. Babies at greatest risk of suffocation include those born prematurely and those with respiratory problems.
- Check often to make sure the baby’s face is uncovered, clearly visible, and away from your body at all times.
- Make sure the baby does not curl into a position with the chin resting on or near the baby’s chest. This position can interfere with breathing, even when nothing is covering the nose or mouth.
- If you nurse your baby in this product, always reposition after feeding so the baby’s face is not pressed against your body.
- If using the product in the NICU or Special Care Nursery, follow the guidance of your medical care team.
- Read and follow all printed instructions before use.
- Check for torn straps or fabric or seams before each use. If found, stop using a product.
- Ensure that the baby is positioned in the product according to instructions.
- Check on the baby often. Ensure that the baby is repositioned as needed. Please do not return this product to the store. Instructions
- Unfold the product and disengage the connected Velcro.
- Hold the product end with the three Velcro strips and place the product against your torso with these Velcro strips facing AWAY from your body. (1)
- Wrap the product snugly (but not too tightly) around your waist, ensuring that it is as flat as possible as you wrap it. (2)
- Take the end with the large Velcro strap and secure this strap to ALL THREE of the opposing Velcro straps. (3) Again, ensure that the product is as flat as possible and securely fastened on either your back or side.
- Sit reclined or semi-reclined and place your baby on your chest with one ear over your heart. Then slide the product up, stretching it gently over the baby’s bottom and torso. (4) The product should hug the baby so that the baby cannot slip down through the bottom of the product.
- ALWAYS ensure that the baby’s face remains uncovered, clearly visible, and away from your body at all times.
- To remove the baby for standing, walking, or for transfer to bassinet or crib, simply stretch ar slide the product down and off of the baby entirely while continuing to support the baby to prevent falling.
- To remove a product from your body, detach
the large Velcro strap, unwind the product, and then fold the product so that the large Velcro strap is connected to the far ends of ALL THREE of the opposing Velcro straps. (5) RooLoop can be used with two or three babies at a time. Follow the same warnings and instructions as above for each baby. Ensure at all times that all babies remain supported and in a safe position as described above.
Laundering Instructions
Machine wash cold. No bleach. Lay flat to dry. Do not iron. To prevent snagging, always connect the large Velcro strap to the far ends of ALL THREE of the opposing Velcro straps.
