Operation Instructions

Power on

1. Long press the power button, the red/blue indicator lights flash 3 times at the same time. After the red indicator light is always on for 3 seconds, it flashes slowly for 3 seconds and then goes out. The recorder starts recording.

Power off

1. Long press the power button, the blue/red indicator light flashes 3 times alternately, and the recorder is shut down.

Status Checking

1. Check if the recorder is recording: When the recorder is recording, short press the power button once, the red indicator light will flash three times slowly.

WiFi on/off

1. The pen camera’s WiFi is turned off by default to save power.

2. When the recorder is in the recording state, double-click the power button, the WiFi is turned on, and the blue indicator light flashes slowly.
   After connecting to WiFi, the blue light is always on.

3. After the Wi-Fi of the recorder is turned on, double-click the power button to turn off the Wi-Fi. The blue light goes out.

Connect to Computer

1. The recorder can be directly connected to the computer as a U disk, and the video files in the SD card of the recorder can be quickly viewed.

Recharge

1. Please use a charger above 5V/2A to charge the recorder.
   Chargers with fast charging are not recommended.

2. When charging the recorder, the blue indicator light flashes slowly, which means charging. The blue indicator light is always on, which means it is fully charged.

3. When connected to the computer, the computer will also charge the recorder.
   The blue indicator light flashes slowly, which means charging.
   The blue indicator light is always on, which means it is fully charged.

Low Battery Warning

1. When the battery of the recorder is low, the red indicator light flashes slowly every 3 seconds to indicate that the battery is too low.

Wi-Fi Connection Guide

When successfully connected with your smartphone via built
-in Wi-Fi, you can save and playback the spy camera pen’s videos on your smartphone. You can also change settings of spy camera pen via Wi-Fi app.

Select “DV-M5-XXXX” from available Wi-Fi network to connect. The default password is “1234567890” .
Wi-Fi app operation.
The DVR will stop recording when you open Wi-Fi App (connected successfully) during the recording, and it will start recording automatically 30 seconds after you quit the app. Also, you can also start/stop recording manually on the Wi- Fi App.
Click to stop recording manually. Click to start recording manually.
Click to take photo.
Click to go back to the previous menu.
WiFi propagation distance is about 1 meters.
After the camera is connected to WIFI, it will be synchronized with the current time of the phone.

NOTE:

• When you connected the pen camera to your phone failed, please check if you have any pop-up tips to notify you that there is no internet and if you will stay connected. If just say YES, it means everything will work great. Some may  have no this kind of notification, so we will recommend you to turn off cellular data when using the WiFi app.
• Setting the SSID can modify the WiFi name and password of the recorder. Contact seller if it encounters an error when setting the SSID. If you encounter a problem that cannot be solved, please contact customer service.
