Connect the appliance to the mains
Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, make sure that

  • the upper rotary knob (for timer setting) is in position OFF!
  • the middle rotary knob (for temperature setting) is in position 0!
  • the lower rotary knob (for function setting) is in position .
  • Connect the power plug with an adequately protected power socket.
  • The appliance is now ready for operation.

Preparing the oven

  • Open the oven door completely (do not use the open door as a storage place!).
  • Place the prepared food on the grill grid or roasting/baking tray and insert it in the provided insertion levels of the oven chamber.
  • Close the oven door.

Operating the appliance

  • Set the desired oven function by means of the lower rotary knob.
  • Select the desired function by turning the knob to the left or to the right.

NOTE: Turn the rotary knob to position defrosting once the baking process is finished.
Oven functions:

Defrosting: A fan distributes the ambient temperature evenly in the oven chamber so that the frozen food is defrosted mildly and gently. A temperature setting is not necessary.
– Upper/lower heat: This function combines upper and lower heat and is one of the most commonly used operating modes for baking ovens. Because of the even heat distribution in the oven chamber, it is suitable for most dishes, especially for baking cake, cheesecake, and biscuit cake, for preparing casseroles, roasts, game and fish as well as for all classic recipes.
Upper and lower heat with circulating air :In addition to the combined upper and lower heat a fan distributes the heat evenly in the oven chamber. Therefore the set temperature can usually be reduced by approx. 20 °C. All food in the baking chamber is cooked at the same temperature, so the baking tray and rack can be inserted on different levels at the same time. Moist cakes turn out particularly well. However, cooked food can tend to dry out.
_ Lower heat
With this function, the heat only comes from below and ensures gentle cooking. Traybake is particularly successful because the top cannot burn and at the same time the cake base is baked until crispy
Lower heat with circulating air (pizza function)
The combination of lower heat and circulating air is particularly suitable for anything that should be crispy from the bottom, such as pizza, tarte flambé, French fries etc. We recommend using the function upper and lower heat first and switching to this function for the last 5 minutes.
Plain grill with rotisserie function
This function is suitable for grilling meat, fish, and vegetables as well as rotisserie grilling of chicken, spit roast, etc .; Proceed as described under point Grilling with rotisserie function described. The plain grill distributes the heat over a larger surface, food is grilled evenly and gently. The function is also suitable for preparing casseroles and gratins that should have a crispy surface as well as for gratinating.
Turbo grill with rotisserie function
The turbo grill function concentrates the heat even more than the plain grill, only the inner heating circuit is in operation. This enables a higher degree of roasting to be achieved, especially with dishes grilled on a rotisserie. If only a part of the grill grid or roasting/baking tray is filled, we recommend this function. Likewise for dishes such as the classic roast chicken.
Important! When grilling, use one of the baking/roasting trays (the round one when grilling with a rotisserie) to catch any dripping fat. We also recommend filling the baking/roasting tray about halfway with water. The rising steam makes your grilled food particularly tender.
Select oven temperature

Set the desired oven temperature by means of the middle rotary knob.
NOTE: Turn the rotary knob to position 0 once the baking process is finished!
Switching on the appliance
There are two possibilities to put the oven into operation:
a) Manual operation

To put the appliance into operation, turn the upper rotary knob to the left to the continuous operation setting **M**.
The interior illumination of the oven chamber is now activated.
ATTENTION: In the manual operation setting, the appliance will not switch off automatically!
Breaking up the operation prematurely

  • To end up continuous operation setting or to break up time-controlled operation prematurely turn the rotary knob to position OFF.
  • The interior illumination expires.

Taking out the cooked food
ATTENTION:
When opening the oven door, hot steam may escape!

  • Open the oven door (do not use the open door as a storage place!).
  • Take the ready food out of the oven chamber. If you want to take the roasting/baking tray, the grill grid or the rotisserie spit out of the oven in hot condition, use the included handle or protect your hands with potholders or a grill glove.
  • Close the oven door.

Completely switching off the appliance

  • Turn the upper rotary knob (for timer setting) to position OFF.
  • Turn the middle rotary knob (for temperature setting) to position 0.
  • Turn the lower rotary knob (for function setting) to defrost position

**For a permanent and safe switch off disconnect the power plug after each use!
Temperature pilot lamp
The appliance is equipped with a temperature pilot lamp. The pilot lamp expires once the set temperature is reached. The alternating lighting and expiring of the pilot lamp during operation indicate the thermostatic regulation of temperature.
ATTENTION: This means that the pilot lamp may temporarily not be lit even if the baking oven is switched on. Therefore, make sure that the appliance is switched off permanently when not in use!
Grilling with the rotisserie function
** The rotisserie spit allows preparing delicious grilled chicken and other kinds of spit-roast (e. g. pork knuckles). For this, proceed as follows:

  • It is important to defrost frozen chicken completely before grilling. Then wash and pat them dry.

  • Depending on the recipe and your personal taste, rub the food to be grilled with oil and spices. TIP: Always mix paprika and curry with some oil or season the meat at the end of the grilling time, as these spices burn easily and taste bitter then.

  • Slide one of the fi xing brackets on the spit and tighten it with the screw. Now skewer the prepared meat onto the spit centrally until it is pushed firmly into the first fi xing bracket. Then slide the second fi xing bracket on the spit and push it firmly into the roast. Also, tighten this screw.

  • Check that the food to be grilled is properly centered on the spit.

  • To prevent protruding chicken parts from burning, the joints and wings must be bonded together with a heatproof and food-safe string (e. g. natural cotton string).
TIP: To avoid a too fast browning of prominent parts, you may wrap delicate areas with unsalted rashers.

  • IMPORTANT! Insert the roasting/baking tray into the lowest level or respectively place the round roasting/baking try under the food to be grilled. In this way, any grease dripping down will be collected and the cover of the heating element stays clean.
TIP: We recommend fi lling half of the roasting/baking tray with water; the rising steam makes your grill food especially tender. However, if you prefer your chicken crispy outside, do not fi ll any water into the roasting/baking tray.

  • By means of the rotisserie handle, you can now lift the rotisserie assembly into the oven. Firstly, insert the spit with one end in the hole on the right-hand side of the interior oven and then place it in the support provided on the left-hand side.

  • Before closing the oven door, make sure the spit with the chicken/s is positioned correctly. Caution! Hazard of fi re! Make sure that the meat to be grilled is rotating properly and that it does not touch the heating elements – otherwise the meat might catch fire.

  • Select the turbo grill function with rotisserie spit at maximum temperature.

  • Per each kilogram of chicken, you may reckon with a grilling time of about 60 minutes.
TIP: A spit-roast chicken is ready when piercing the drumstick with a needle (no knife!) only clear meat juice comes out, without any signs of blood.

  • In case the skin of the chicken is getting blisters, reduce the temperature and paint the blisters with some oil.

  • After the grilling time has elapsed, it is safe and easy to remove the rotisserie spit from the oven by lifting it out using the special handle the spit and placing it on a large chopping board then.

Interior illumination of the oven
This product contains a light source of energy effi cency class G. The interior illumination of the oven chamber is lighting during the whole operation. Once the operating time is over, the lamp turns out automatically.
How to change the oven light
ATTENTION: Always unplug the power cord before changing the lamp!
ATTENTION: Before changing the lamp, always allow the appliance to cool down!

  • Carefully unscrew the lamp cover, pull the defective halogen lamp aside.
  • Insert a new lamp (heat-resistant – 230 V ~ 18 W, G9, T 300 ° C) into the base and carefully press it in. CAUTION: Do not touch halogen lamps with your bare hands. If possible, use cloth gloves or a paper towel.
  • Then insert the lamp cover into the thread and screw it in hand-tight. NOTE: Use only suitable original bulbs! Spare parts might be obtained from your dealer.

Disassemble and assemble the door
The oven door is designed in such a way that, under normal conditions of use, there is no impurity between the glass plates of the double glazing. The oven door should only be disassembled and cleaned if heavily soiled. Proceed as follows:

  • ATTENTION: Always unplug the power cord before assembling the oven door! Do not reconnect the appliance to the power supply until the oven door has been reassembled!
  • ATTENTION: Before disassembling the oven door, always allow the appliance to cool down!
  • ATTENTION: Only operate the appliance with a completely assembled door!
  • Open the oven door completely.
  • Loosen the window brackets on the upper corners of the oven door with your thumb.
  • Pull the window brackets off to the side.
  • Carefully loosen the inner glass plate by slightly moving it back and forth.
  • Pull the glass plate off towards the front.
  • Clean both glass plates from the inside and outside.
  • The oven door is assembled in reverse order. The K printed on the inner glass plate must be inserted in the lower left corner of the oven door.

Cleaning and maintenance

ATTENTION: Risk of injury/burns!

  • Always pull the power plug before cleaning!
  • Do not immerse appliances, power cords and power plugs in water or clean them under running water
  • ****Always allow the appliance and all accessory parts to cool down before cleaning!
  • Due to its non-stick coating, the oven is very easy to clean. Wipe the casing, the oven chamber, and the oven door with a moist cloth and wipe dry.
  • The cover of the heating element can be removed and cleaned in warm water with some dishwashing detergent. To do this, remove both screws and lift off the cover.
  • If the glass plates are very dirty, the oven door can be disassembled for cleaning and the inner glass plate can be removed. Please note the instructions for disassembling and assembling the door on page 29!
  • The accessories can be cleaned in warm water with some dishwashing detergent or in the dishwasher.
  • Do not use abrasives, dissolvent or sharp objects!
  • Do not use steel wool or scouring pads!
  • Never use oven sprays!
  • Never use a steam jet appliance for cleaning the appliance and the accessories!

Temperature limit

  • The appliance is equipped with a temperature limiter, which switches off the heating elements\ when an excessive temperature of the baking chamber is reached. If the oven temperature drops, the temperature limiter is automatically reset.

Tips and notes

  • Always preheat the oven until the desired temperature has been reached before you put in the food to be cooked and place the food in the middle of the roasting/baking tray.
  • The best cooking results are achieved if you turn the roasting/baking tray or the grill grid after about half of the cooking time, so that the food from the rear gets shifted to the front.

Disposal/recycling
Packaging material
Do not simply throw the packaging material away but recycle it.
Deliver paper, cardboard and corrugated cardboard to waste paper collection points.
Also, put plastic packaging material and foils into the specific collection containers.

The printed or embossed markings indicate the materials which were used: PE stands for polyethylene (code 02 means high-density PE, 04 stands for low- density PE), PS stands for polystyrene and CPE for chlorinated polyethylene. PAP 20 means corrugated cardboard and PAP 21 other cardboard. All plastics are thermoplastics which are very easy and efficient to produce. They are also very easy to recycle and therefore can even have a smaller ecological footprint than comparable cardboard packaging.
NOTE: It is not always possible or reasonable to avoid using plastic packaging. These often have great advantages compared to cardboard because less material has to be used which saves weight which in turn reduces CO2 consumption. The protective effect in case of impacts or shocks is usually better.
