Quick Start Guide
Welcome to FleetSharp!
This simple step-by-step guide will walk you through activating your account
and installing your GPS tracker.
You’ll also find easy instructions to customize your Customer Portal for
tracking vehicles and equipment, monitor reports, set alerts, and much more.
Let’s get started!
Account Activation
- Open your web browser (Chrome is recommended) and go to: https://activate.fleetsharp.com
- You will be directed to the Activation Page where you will finish your account registration. Fill out the following information:
- Activation Code: You can enter either the Activation Code found on your device OR your Billing Account Number (BAN) provided in your confirmation email.
- Email Address: Please use the email address you provided when completing the order.
- Create/Confirm Your Password: Make it strong and secure!
- Read through our Terms & Conditions and then click the radio box to agree before clicking “Next”.
Device Activation

Welcome to your portal!
• If you entered in your activation code on the previous screen it will auto populate here.
• If you entered your Billing Account Number (BAN), you will need to enter the activation code shown on your device here. -
Name your tracker based on the naming convention you use to manage your vehicles.
• Some common ways to name your vehicle: Blue Truck, Van ##, Sophie’s Car, Ford F150, Tractor ###, etc. -
Enter in any optional information you would like to add for your tracker.
• Tip! If you are adding trackers into multiple groups, complete Group Setup before activating the remainder of your devices.![FleetSharp AT3 Asset Tracker

- Congratulations! You have now set up your first device and your portal has been activated for use. From here, you can either choose to Activate More Trackers or Complete the process and begin using your system.
Installing Your Wired Asset Tracker
- You have purchased a wired asset tracker device which contains an internal rechargeable battery. This battery may not be fully charged when you first receive it. In order to register and activate this device, please either charge the asset tracker device for a minimum of four hours, or wire the device for installation to an appropriate power source.
For Non-Powered Assets:
Wire to constant power
a. If available, obtain the wiring diagram online or from your owner’s manual.
Find the constant power wire on your equipment. Strip this wire.
b. Strip the asset tracker’s red and white wires, then connect them to the
constant power wire from your equipment and crimp. This connection provides
power to the device.
c. Strip the asset tracker’s black wire and connect it to a grounded source.
d. Using screws, zip ties or tape, secure the device to your asset in a spot
where there is a direct line of sight to the sky from the top of the device.
For Powered Assets:
(Note: this is REQUIRED for Mower Tracker)
a. If available, obtain the wiring diagram online or from your owner’s manual.
Find the ignition wire on your asset. Verify the ignition wire by measuring
the operating voltage while the key is in the ON or START position (voltage
should read 0VDC when OFF, and typically between 11V and 14V when ON). Strip
this wire.
b. Strip the asset tracker’s red and white wires, then connect the white wire
to the ignition source and the red wire to constant power. This connection
lets the asset tracker report ignition ON/OFF events as well as engine hours
for maintenance.
c. Strip the asset tracker’s black wire and connect it to a grounded source.
d. Using screws, zip ties or tape, secure the device to your asset in a spot
where there is a direct line of sight to the sky from the top of the device.
Confirm The Power Connection.
Following installation, allow 5-10 minutes for the FleetSharp asset tracker to
power up and obtain a cellular and GPS fix. Your asset must be outside and not
in a covered area so that it will receive GPS signal.
Once you have LED confirmation of power, your installation is complete.
Install Positioning Matters
Not Intended For Use:
- Indoors
- Inside of metal casings
- Underground
- In remote, “no cell coverage” areas
