Its easy operation and wide range of applications will certainly please you as well. To make sure you can enjoy using this appliance for a long time, please read through and carefully observe the following information. Keep this instruction manual safely. The appliance designed to be used in the household and similar areas, like for example
- staff kitchens in shops, offices and other small commercial areas
- agricultural holdings
- guests in hotels, motels, B&Bs and further similar living environments.
Other uses or modifications of the appliance are not intended and may constitute considerable risks of accident. For damage arising from any improper use, the manufacturer does not assume liability. The appliance is designed for warming, heating and preparing food. The appliance is not suitable for commercial use.

Only connect the appliance to an isolated ground receptacle installed according to regulations. The mains voltage must comply with the details on the rating label. Only connect to alternating current!

General safety advice
- Always keep children under 8 away from the product and the power cord.
- The appliance may be operated by children from the age of 8 years and by persons with handicaps of physical, sensorial or mental nature, who lack knowledge or experience in handling the appliance, if they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance considered any risks, resulting from it.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.
- Cleaning and maintenance by means of the user must not be carried out by children, unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Packing material like e. g. foil bags should be kept away from children.
- Do not operate this unit with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
- Prior to each use, check the appliance and the accessory parts for perfect condition. The appliance must not be operated if it has been dropped or shows visible damage.
- In this case, the power supply must be disconnected and the appliance has to be checked by an expert electrician.
- When laying the power cord, make sure that no one can get entangled or stumble over it in order to avoid that the appliance is pulled down accidentally.
- Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces, sharp edges and mechanical forces. Check the power cord regularly for damage and deterioration. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of an electric shock.
- Do not misuse the power cord for unplugging the appliance! Only pull on the power plug, not on the power cord!
- Never immerse the appliance, power cord and power plug in water for cleaning.
- Do not store the appliance outside or in wet rooms.
- This electrical appliance complies with the relevant safety standards. In case of signs of damage to the appliance or the power cord, unplug the appliance immediately. Repairs may only be effected by authorised specialist shops only. Improper repairs may result in considerable dangers for the user.
- If the power cord of the appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or another qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
- Improper use and disregard of the instruction manual void all warranty claims.
Safety advices for using the appliance
CAUTION: Hazard of injury and burns!
- Housing surfaces, baking plates, as well as prepared food, are getting hot during operation!
- Hot surfaces are initially still hot, even after the switch-off!
Thus, act with caution
- We recommend using pot cloths and appropriate cooking cutlery!
- The pancake maker can be safely opened and closed during operation at the heat-insulated handle.
- Do not use the appliance’s upper side as depositing rack or working top as it will get hot when operating the appliance! As protection against fire, do generally not put objects made of paper, plastic, fabric or other inflammable material on hot surfaces!
- Attention: Hazard of fire! Overheated fats and oils can inflame. Therefore, food containing fats and oils may only be prepared under supervision! Bread toasted too long can also inflame!
- Do not transport the appliance when hot. It must have cooled completely before cleaning or moving it!
- Observe the following when setting up the appliance:
- Unwind the power cord completely from the cord take-up.
- Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, stable and even surface (no varnished surfaces, no table cloths etc.).
- Place it beyond children’s reach.
- Leave a ventilation distance of at least 10 cm to all sides and 1 m above the appliance to avoid damage by heat or fat splatters and to grant an unobstructed work area. Unhindered air supply has to be ensured.
- Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of sources of heat (oven, gas flame etc.) or in explosive environments, where inflammable liquids or gases are located.
- • Pull the power plug after each use for safe switch-off.
- • Do not use the appliance as space heater.
Prior to initial use
Remove possibly fixed protective foils, promotional material and packaging material from appliance and accessories. Clean the appliance as well as accessories according to the cleaning notes in this manual.
- Before using the appliance for the first time heat it up for several minutes.
- After the appliance has cooled down, please wipe the baking plates with a moist cloth and dry carefully afterward.
Note: When using the pancake maker for the first time, there might be a slight smoke and smell for a short while which is caused by the heating of some components. There is no need for concern, just make sure the room is well-aerated during this time.
Non-stick coating
The baking plates are equipped with a high quality non-stick coating. The coating is easy to clean and prevents food from sticking onto the surfaces.
ATTENTION: Do not scratch or cut on the surface of the baking plates. Never use cooking utensils made of metal as those might damage the non-stick coating. Scratched baking plates are not covered by the terms of warranty. Please also refer to the cleaning notes in this manual.
How to operate your appliance
Switching on
Connect the pancake maker to the mains. It is now in standby mode, the LED display shows .
Press the Start/Cancel button. The appliance switches to heating mode. An acoustic signal sounds and the red POWER pilot lamp lights up. The LED display shows the heating process with ascending bars .
Note: Always heat up the appliance with lid closed. This saves energy.
While the appliance is heating up, provide the pancake dough. Two short signal tones indicate that the operating temperature has been reached. The red POWER as well as the green READY pilot lamp light up. flashes in the display.
Select baking time
The baking time is preset to 3.0 minutes. If you want a shorter or longer running time, you can shorten or lengthen it with the – or + button in steps of 30 seconds (from 10 minutes running time in steps of 1 minute). The flashing display changes accordingly, e.g. in or . Maximum baking time: 15 minutes.
In this mode, the red POWER pilot lamp lights up continuously and the green READY pilot lamp lights up depending on the plate temperature. Press the locking button on the top of the lid and open the appliance. Fill pancake dough into the molds of the lower baking plate. The total volume of dough should not exceed the rim of the bottom cooking well. Close the lid. The lock engages audibly.
Note: Doughs containing baking powder or baking soda will rise during baking! Therefore, try the preparation with a smaller amount of dough fi rst to prevent the dough from leaking.
CAUTION: The baking plates are hot! Risk of burns!
Note: If no further input is made within 30 seconds, the unit switches to readyness mode. and flash alternately in the display. The appliance remains heated for 20 minutes. Press any button briefly to return to the time setting.
Start baking process
Press the Start/Cancel button within 30 seconds to start the baking process. The display stops flashing and shows the remaining time. A short signal tone sounds and the green READY pilot lamp lights up depending on the plate temperature. The last 60 seconds are displayed as a countdown:
Note: You can also change the baking time during operation by pressing the – or + button. The new running time flashes in the display. Confirm it by briefly pressing the Start/Cancel button. If no confi rmation is received, the appliance continues the baking process for the previously set duration. If you want to end the baking process prematurely, press the Start/Cancel until you hear a signal tone. The appliance switches to standby mode, the LED display shows .
Automatic programme end
The end of the baking process is indicated by 3 short signal tones. In the display flashes . The appliance is now in waiting mode. You can remove the finished pancakes. Press the locking button on the top of the lid and open the lid using the handle only. Please use a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the backing plates. If no further input is made, a long signal tone sounds after 3 minutes and the appliance switches to standby mode, the LED display shows . If the Start/Cancel is briefl y pressed again in the waiting mode, the appliance starts another baking process with the last set toasting time. Of course, the baking time can also be changed with the – or + buttons before another baking process. The baking process is then started by briefly pressing the Start/Cancel button.
“EXTRA” baking time
If you want your pancakes baked a little more, simply press the EXTRA button after the timer has expired. A short signal tone sounds and the baking process starts again for 30 seconds. A countdown is shown in the display:
The end of the baking process is indicated by 3 short signal tones. In the display flashes . The appliance is again in waiting mode. You can remove the finished pancakes.
Switch off the appliance
Press and hold the Start/Cancel button to switch the pancake maker to standby mode. A long signal tone sounds and the LED display shows .
Attention: During operation, the appliance’s surfaces are getting hot and firstly stay hot even after switching off the appliance! Hazard of burns!
- To switch off permanently, pull out the mains plug after each use.
Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION: Hazard of injury and burns!
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
- Do not immerse appliance, power cord and power plug in water nor clean it under running water!
- Always let the appliance cool down before cleaning!
- Clean the appliance after each use. It is best to clean it when it is lukewarm.
- Wipe the housing with a soft damp cloth with some detergent. The non-stick coating makes the baking plates very easy to clean. Wipe them with a damp cloth and dry them.
- Brush stubborn residues with a little oil and let them soak for 5 minutes. Then wipe again with a damp cloth.
- Never immerse the appliance in water and make sure no steam or water can infi ltrate the underside of the appliance.
- Never use abrasives and solvents or sharp objects!
- Never use steel wool or abrasive pads! Never use oven sprays!
- Never treat the appliance and accessory parts with a steam cleaner!
Disposal/recycling
Packaging material
Do not simply throw the packaging material away but recycle it. Deliver paper, cardboard and corrugated cardboard to waste paper collection points. Also put plastic packaging material and foils into the specific collection containers.
The printed or embossed markings indicate the materials which were used: PE stands for polyethylene (code 02 means high-density PE, 04 stands for low- density PE), PS stands for polystyrene and CPE for chlorinated polyethylene. PAP 20 means corrugated cardboard and PAP 21 other cardboard. All plastics are thermoplastics which are very easy and efficient to produce. They are also very easy to recycle and therefore can even have a smaller ecological footprint than comparable cardboard packaging.
Disposal information
According to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (2012/19/EU), this product may not be disposed of with other household waste at the end of its service life. Therefore please submit it e.g. at a municipal collection point (e.g. recycling center) according to the laws of your country of residence for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances. Your municipality or city administration will inform you about the disposal options.
Tip: Give appliances that are no longer required but still functional to a charitable purpose (e.g. as a donation). This does not only improve the environmental balance and ensures more sustainability, but also testifies to a welcome social commitment.
