Westinghouse WH5P02AL Performance Non-Stick Cookware
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Wash your cookware in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Warm the cookware on the stove using low heat for 30 seconds, remove from heat source and rub a teaspoon (5ml) cooking oil on the interior surface with paper towel.
- Wipe off any excess.
- Allow the cookware to cool completely, wash with warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. The cookware is now ready for use.
COOKING
- Westinghouse Performance Non-stick Cookware is suitable for use on gas, electric, halogen, ceramic and induction stove tops.
- Oven safe up to 230˚C / 446˚F.
- Never place this cookware under the broiler.
- Do not use in the microwave.
- Do not pre-heat nonstick cookware. Use low to medium heat for best cooking results. High heat may damage your cookware.
- Always use a heat source smaller than the diameter of the cookware base. When using on gas stove, never let flames extend up the side of the cookware.
- Never let cookware boil dry or leave an empty cookware on a hot burner or element.
- Avoid overheating the cookware.
- Never put cold water or frozen food in a hot pan. Sudden changes of temperature may cause metal to warp, resulting in an uneven bottom.
- On glass or ceramic stove tops, lift cookware; never slide it.
- Use of nylon, silicone or wooden utensils are recommended.
- Never cut food inside the cookware
- Do not use non-stick cooking sprays on non-stick cookware. These sprays can impair the nonstick release system, actually causing food to adhere to the surface.
- Use potholders or oven mitts when holding hot cookware.
- Each casserole, low casserole or roaster is come with a pair of removable silicone handle grips. Always remove silicone handle grips after placing the cookware in the oven. Only use them to take out the hot cookware from the oven.
- It will be dangerous if the handle is loose. Fix the handle firmly in place with screwdriver before use.
- This cookware is designed for household use.
CLEANING
- Do not immerse the hot cookware in cold water after cooking. Always wait for the cookware to cool before cleaning.
- Do not use oven cleaners, harsh detergents, chlorine bleach, steel wool or other abrasive cleaning pads.
- Always dry your cookware thoroughly.
- The cookware is dishwasher safe. However, it is recommended to hand-wash in warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or dish cloth. If you do wash in dishwasher, wash on mild cycle with mild detergent. Repeated dishwasher cleaning and dishwasher detergent may cause oxidation to the base areas over time, but this will not affect the performance of the cookware.
