Safety Instructions

  • When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
  • Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with that of the local network before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
  • Children aged from 8 years and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge can use this appliance, only if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • Do not direct steam at people or animals or towards equipment containing electrical components, such as the interior of ovens.
  • Switch off the appliance disconnect it from the mains power supply and allow it to cool before changing or fitting accessories and before any cleaning and maintenance.
  • Do not open the water tank cap whilst the appliance is still turned on [for steam cleaners only, not steam mops].
  • The use of an extension cord with the appliance is not recommended.
  • This appliance should not be operated utilizing an external timer or a separate remote control system.
  • This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It should not be used for commercial purposes.

Care and Maintenance

  • Before attempting any cleaning or maintenance, always unplug the steam cleaner from the main power supply and allow it to cool sufficiently.
  • Drain any remaining water from the water tank once the steam cleaner main body has cooled and clean it after every use.
  • Wipe the steam cleaner main body with a soft, damp cloth and allow it to dry thoroughly.
  • Clean the mop head in warm, soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • The accessories are not suitable for dishwasher use.
  • Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners or detergents.
  • The microfibre mop head pads are machine washable on a low heat setting.
  • Always use a mild detergent and lay it flat to dry.
  • Never use bleach or fabric softener when washing the microfibre mop head pad.
    • WARNING: Do not turn on the steam cleaner during cleaning.
  • Descaling the Water Tank and Removing Limescale If living in a hard water area, calcium deposits may begin to build up inside the water tank or accessories. If this occurs, it is recommended to use demineralized water with the steam cleaner.
  • Limescale can develop over time and can affect the performance of the steam cleaner. It is recommended to remove limescale at least once a month. Use a limescale-removing solution that is suitable for use with a steam cleaner. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Instructions for Use

Before First Use

  • Before using the steam cleaner for the first time, clean the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Do not immerse the steam cleaner in water or any other liquid.

Assembling the 12 in 1 Steam Cleaner

Attaching the Handle

  • Insert the assembled handle into the steam cleaner main body, until it clicks into place.
  • The assembled handle can be removed from the steam cleaner main body by pressing the handle release button.

Attaching the Mop Head

  • STEP 1: Slide the bottom end of the steam cleaner main body onto the mop head, untill the mop head spindle clicks into place.
  • STEP 2: To remove the mop head, press the accessory release button while pulling the steam cleaner main body away in an upward direction.

Attaching the Microfibre Mop Head Pad

  • STEP 1: Remove the mop head from the steam cleaner main body, following the instructions in the section entitled ‘Attaching the Mop Head’.
  • STEP 2: Attach the microfibre mop head pad to the mop head by aligning the hook and loop tabs.
  • STEP 3: Place the mop head into the carpet glider and press down firmly to lock it into position.
  • STEP 4: Reattach the mop head to the steam cleaner main body.
    • NOTE: The microfibre mop head pad must be installed correctly before use. The carpet glider should only be used on carpets.

Filling the Water Tank
Switch off and unplug the steam cleaner from the main power supply before attempting to fill the water tank.

  • STEP 1: Position the steam cleaner main body horizontally on a flat, stable surface.
  • STEP 2: Carefully lift the water tank cap.
  • STEP 3: Fill the measuring jug with water and pour the contents into the water tank, using the funnel. Repeat until the water tank is full and then replace the water tank cap.
    • NOTE: The water may take a couple of seconds to rise; allow time for this before adding more to the water tank, making sure that it is not overfilled.
    • CAUTION: Do not attempt to fill the water tank whilst the steam cleaner is turned on, as this could cause damage to the appliance or injury to the user.

Never add descaling, aromatic, alcoholic or detergent products into the appliance, as this may damage the appliance or make it unsafe for use.

Using the 12 in 1 Steam Cleaner

As an Upright Steam cleaner

  • STEP 1: Assemble the steam cleaner following the instructions in the section entitled Assembling the 12 in 1 Steam cleaner’.
  • STEP 2: Fill the water tank.
  • STEP 3: Plug in and switch on the steam cleaner at the main power supply.
  • STEP 4: The steam cleaner features a flexible-hinge that is ideal for cleaning under furniture. Push the flexi-hinge fully in towards the main unit to activate it; deactivate the flexi-hinge by pressing the flexi-hinge button and straightening the handle.
  • STEP 5: Turn the adjustable steam control in a clockwise direction until the power indicator light illuminates, signaling that the steam cleaner is heating up. Once the steam cleaner has reached the correct temperature, steam will be produced automatically.
  • STEP 6: Turn the adjustable steam control in a clockwise direction to increase the amount of steam; turn in an anticlockwise direction to decrease it.

As a Handheld Steam cleaner

  • STEP 1: Remove the handle by pressing the handle release button and pulling it up and away from the steam cleaner main body.
  • STEP 2: Fill the water tank.
  • STEP 3: Fully insert the accessory adaptor into the steam nozzle.
  • STEP 4: If necessary, attach the required accessory to the accessory adaptor, using the corresponding arrows as alignment guides. Turn the accessory in a clockwise direction to secure it.
  • STEP 5: Plug in and switch on the steam cleaner at the main power supply.
  • STEP 6: Turn the adjustable steam control in a clockwise direction Once the steam cleaner has reached the correct temperature, steam will be produced automatically.
    • NOTE: A full water tank will supply approx. 15 minutes of continuous steam. Steam will run continuously until the water tank is empty or the adjustable steam control is in the ‘O’ position.
    • CAUTION: Do not attempt to use the steam cleaner as a handheld steamer whilst the handle is inserted. Never leave the steam cleaner stationary on a floor area for longer than 15 seconds. The handheld unit will become hot during use.

Storing the Power Cord

The steam cleaner is equipped with a handy cord storage system. To use it, simply wrap the power cord around the upper and lower cord hooks; the upper cord hook must be in the upright position. To unwrap the power cord and release it from the stored position, pull and twist the upper cord hook 180 ° in a clockwise direction.

Always make sure that hot surfaces have cooled to room temperature before using the round brushes.

| Can also be used to remove non-permanent stains on carpet or upholstery. Point the angled nozzle directly at the non-permanent stain, whilst holding a clean cloth near to the marked area to capture any loosened dirt.
Grouting tool| Ideal for cleaning grout in kitchens and bathrooms.| Use on a low steam setting and apply light pressure.
Scraping tool| Perfect for those

extra-tough spills, removing baked-on food, grime and grease, residue or other hard- to-remove substances. Ideal for use on surfaces such as hobs or for helping to de-ice the freezer.

  • WARNING: Exercise caution when using the wire round brush, as it has very sharp bristles. Never hold the wire round brush by the bristles; always use the steam cleaner main body.
  • Storage: Remove the microfibre mop head pad, making sure that it has been cleaned following the instructions in the section entitled ‘Care and Maintenance’.

Important
As the colors in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colored markings identifying the terminals in your plug, please proceed as follows:

The wires in the mains lead are colored per the following code:

  • Blue Neutral (N)
  • Brown Live (L)
  • Green/Yellow Earth ( )
  • FOR UK USE ONLY – Plug fitting details (where applicable).
  • The wire colored BLUE is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal marked N or colored BLACK.
  • The wire colored BROWN is the LIVE wire and must be connected to the terminal marked L or colored RED.
  • The wire colored GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter E or marked
  • On no account must either the BROWN or the BLUE wire be connected to the EARTH terminal ( ).
  • Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened correctly.
  • The plug must be fitted with a fuse of the same rating already fitted and conforming to BS 1362 and be ASTA-approved.
  • If in doubt consult a qualified electrician who will be pleased to do this for you.

Non-rewireable mains plug

  • If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA-approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating).
  • If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician who will be pleased to do this for you.
  • If you need to remove the plug – DISCONNECT IT FROM THE MAINS and then cut it off the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric shock.
