 Introduction

GFK-160A liquid filling machine belongs to electric pump filling machine category, that it is mainly composed of a microcomputer and diaphragm pump. Its working principle is simple that the microcomputer controls the running speed and running time of diaphragm pump so that it can achieve quantitative filling results.

Introduction

 Installation

1. Loosen the screw on black clips with the hex wrench, pass the stainless steel rod through the clip, and then tighten the screw.

2. Power on the filler machine.

Operation

Test out the setting you should set.

Recommended measuring tool: measuring cup or scale.

Speed and Volume

(Only for reference, different motors on different GFK-160A liquid filling machines have different rotating speed)

1. Make sure the filler machine is under “Pause Status”, or parameters cannot be edited.
2. Set parameters “S.P”(filling speed, 0-9 adjustable) and “W.T”(filling time, 0-99.99s adjustable). Prepare a measuring cup or scale to measure out/weigh out the volume. It recommended to test several times to achieve a stable and reliable data.

If tube is bent, or if there is air in the tube, the measurement results will vary. So collecting several groups of data is necessary.

Set parameters.

1. Press ” ” and ” ” to move the cursor, and press “ “and” “to edit the parameters.
2. Press to save the setting.

Selecting data group from 0-6.

1. When editing group “O”, the cursor will automatically appear.
2. When editing group “1-6”, please press to choose the group you want, and then press and hold for about 3 seconds until there is a beep, and cursor will appear on the screen. Then you can edit the parameters of them.

Start filling

1. Choose inching mode: press to switch to “Inching mode”, set “S.P”(filling speed) and “W.T”(filling time), then save setting. Press and filler machine is under “Work Status”. Press red button to finish each filling process.

Choose continuous mode: press to switch to “Continuous mode”, set “S.P”(filling speed), “W.T”(filling time), and “S.T”(waiting time between two filling process”, save the setting. Press and filler machine is under “Work Status”. Machine will automatically finish each filling process.

 Troubleshooting

1. Use machine fill water for several times.
2. If issue cannot be solved, remove mesh filter and use a cartridge     to manually add water into tube. Start machine to check whether it can work, if not, please repeat the second step.

Machine cannot pump water, and the sound of pump cannot be heard|

1. Inner connection of pump and control board is disconnected
2. Pump is broken

Whatever speed I set,the actual speed is the same|

 Maintenance and Cleaning Advice

1. Leave some clean water inside the tube and pump to prolong the service life of pump.
2. Use filler machine to fill clean water for several times to clean it after use. (Strong oxidant, strong acid or strong alkali are not recommended, or the pump will be destroyed)

Appendix How to Choose A Liquid Filling Machine

Facing with various kinds of liquid filling machines on market, how to choose a suitable one for yourself? then you can find the filling machine you need. (Filling machines are not suitable for highly volatile and spontaneous chemicals)

About the viscosity of the liquid.

If the liquid is very thin, such as water, milk, juice, thin essential oil, all pump filling machines and piston filling machines are suitable.

If the liquid is relatively thick, such as oil, laundry detergent, shampoo( as for other viscous liquids, it is recommended to ask the seller to confirm) you can choose a viscous liquid filling machine (basically they’re equipped with a high-power industrial diaphragm pump, their maximum flow rate is the speed of filling water, the more viscous the liquid, the slower the filling speed. The speed is basically above 15L/min, and the filling deviation is larger, above 10g. The greater the pump power, the more viscous detergent and conditioner can be processed. Also, you can choose a paste piston filling machine, which will be more suitable for liquids with a viscous consistency like shampoo.

NOTE:

if the liquid is oil, especially engine oil, please confirm the pump is designed for oil, because oil will corrode rubber and plastic that most pumps have. If the liquid is very thick, such as hand cream, face cream, ketchup, peanut butter, choose a paste piston filling machine.

What is the filling amount.

Consider this important parameter of pump to improve filling efficiency.
Pump filling machine: gear pump: 2.5L/min, 3.5L/min, etc.
Diaphragm pump: 3.5L/min, 4L/min, 17L/min, etc.
Peristaltic pump: 700mL/min, 2L/min, 4L/min, 7L/min, 9L/min, 13L/min, etc.

Please pay attention to the flow rate of peristaltic pump. The less expensive peristaltic pumps have a slow filling speed, basically around 700ml/min. Peristaltic pumps with fast filling speed (4L/min, 7L/min, 9L/min, etc.) are much more expensive.

Magnetic pump: 2L/min, 4L/min, 5.5L/min, 7.5L/min, 9L/min, etc. Piston filling machine: (pneumatic driven type) normally 10-20 bottles/min.

What is the temperature of the liquid?

If the temperature of the liquid you want to fill is higher than room temperature, please pay attention to the liquid temperature that the filling machine can handle! High-quality diaphragm pumps can handle 212°F ( = 100°C), peristaltic pumps, magnetic pumps, and piston filling machines can all handle 212°F (=100°C) liquids.

Whether the liquid is corrosive. If it contains alcohol, what is the concentration.

If the liquid is not corrosive, such as water, milk, juice, all pump filling machines and piston type filling machines are suitable. If the liquid contains a certain corrosive liquid, but the content is very low, such as 25% alcohol, please make sure to check if the filling machine is suitable for filling. Pump installed in some filling machines is not corrosion resistant.

If the liquid is corrosive, such as 75% alcohol, isopropanol, choose a peristaltic pump or a magnetic pump. If you want to choose a pneumatic piston filling machine, please make sure to note the seller to replace the piston and O-rings with corrosion-resistant ones for you, otherwise it is easy to leak when filling.

What is the filling accuracy you want to achieve?

Generally speaking, accuracy ranking: gear pump/diaphragm pump< peristaltic pump<magnetic pump. The higher the flow rate of the pump, the easier it is to be inaccurate. Customers who require accuracy such as 1 ml or O .1 ml are recommended to choose a peristaltic pump with a  small flow rate. Customers who require 0.1ml, it is recommended to choose magnetic pump.

Are there any particles in the liquid?

No particles. All pump filling machines and piston type filling machines are suitable.Yes, but very small particles. Like the very fine particles remaining in the juice after squeezing the freshly squeezed juice by juicer. Choose a peristaltic pump, or piston type filling machine.

Yes, they are big, like fruit pieces, seeds, or tomato chunks. Choose a horizontal piston type filling machine (note that vertical type is not suitable, otherwise solid particles will settle in the hopper due to gravity and block the piston port).

• f you want to fill a liquid with solid particles like chili oil, it is recommended to add a stirring function to the hopper, which can effectively prevent the solid particles from settling and make the filling process more smoothly.
• f you need to heat the material, it is recommended to add a heating function to the hopper to make the material flow better.
• If the material is easy to be stick to the wall of the hopper, it is recommended to add a pressure function to the hopper.
