Frequently Asked Questions

These speakers, an amplifier, and a subwoofer are what I want to buy. Which subwoofer and amplifier offer the best value?****

The SVS sb 2000 subwoofer might be the greatest option, however I’m not sure about the amp. If that one is too pricey, their SB 1000 would also be a fantastic option.

The listing specifies a 5.25″ woofer size. I believe the B6.2’s woofer is 6.5″ in size.****

Correct I will let Amazon know that their information about the 6.5″ woofer is incorrect. The question now is whether they can change it.

What are the acoustic differences between the B5.2 and B6.2?****

The size of the cabinet and woofer, and thus, the bass output.

Which stands do you suggest for the Elac B5.2 and B6.2?****

The Sanus BF 24 would be a fantastic choice for many occasions because you want the tweeter to be at ear level when you’re in your ideal seating position…

Do these have a ceiling mount option?****

These bookshelf speakers weigh more than speakers for the ceiling. They cannot be mounted in the ceiling unless special clamps or other solutions are considered, in my opinion.

On or off for the tweeter grille? Has anyone tried? Which do you prefer?****

Although I haven’t tried removing the tweeter grill, I prefer the primary grill off. I’ve read that the tweeter grill functions as a wave guide.

What kind of wall mount can hold these speakers, which are swiveled to face down and are mounted horizontally on a tray ceiling side wall?****

This wall mount is what I use.

What is the wattage requirement per channel from a receiver for these speakers to sound good?****

Over 30W/ch, it is preferable.

Can I connect a turntable straight to these?****

These speakers are not powered. To drive these, you will need an amplifier. These may be driven effectively with 80 to 100 W.

Would the sound be worse if these were put on the floor instead of a bookshelf in a room with 12′ ceilings?****

Although the floor is less than ideal, bookshelf speakers can be installed wherever. Tweeters need to be close to the ear.

How can I hook them up to an aux?****

A power amp or an integrated amp is required. You might need to buy amplified speakers from Amazon, such as the Audio Engine or Kef Ls50.

What is the product’s voltage?****

To start with, I’m not an electrical engineer.
Second, these speakers are unpowered and will be connected to an amplifier rather than a power source directly. The voltage will be handled by the receiver/amplifier.

How are the binding positions on these?****

I think it’s referred to as a five-way binding post.
