NOTICE
When using for groups 0+, I, I, III, „universal” category:
- The child restraint system is categorized as universal”.
- It has been granted a certificate of approval in accordance with the regulations no. 44, amendments series 04, for general use in vehicles and is fit for installation on most car seats.
- A proper installation is possible if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle manual that this vehicle is fit for installation of the child restraint system in the universal” category for this age group.
- This child restraint system has been classified as „universal” in more demanding conditions than conditions applicable in previous designs not supplied with this information.
- In case of any doubts, please consult the manufacturer or retailer of the device.
- When using for groups 0+, I, II, Ill, semi-universal” category”:
- This child restraint system has been classified for use in „semi-universal” categories and is fit for installation on seats in the following cars:

- It is the ISOFIX CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM.
- It has been granted a certificate of approval in accordance with the regulations no. 44, amendments series 04 for general use in vehicles equipped with ISOFIX system.It fits vehicles with positions approved as ISOFIX positions (pursuant to the vehicle operating manual), de- depending on the child safety seat category and fixing.

- Before you use the child safety seat for the first time, please read this manual carefully.

- The product is allowed for ECE R44/04 as the safety seat for weight categories 0+, I, II, and Ill (0-36kg). A failure to follow the manual may lead to accidents. The product must always be used and installed in the way described in this manual.

IMPORTANT
Please read this manual before the first use and keep it. The manual provides
a description on how to assemble the safety seat properly. An unsuitable
assembly may pose a threat to a child’s health. The manufacturer shall not be
held responsible for potential hazards caused by unsuitable assembly of the
safety seat.
- This safety seat is intended for weight categories (groups) 0+, I, II i Ill, which means that it can be used by children whose weight does not exceed 36 kg (aged up to 11).
- 0+ weight group: 0-13kg
- I weight group: 9-18kg
- II weight group: 15-25kg
- Ill weight group: 22-36kg
- The safety seat is intended for vehicles equipped with 3-point safety seats granted a certificate of approval in accordance with Regulations no. 16 ECG/UN or other equivalent standards.
- Applies to rear-facing installations only: Do not place the safety seat on the front passenger’s seat when the passenger’s airbag is active.
- All safety seat belts must be tight, adapted to the child’s body, and must not be twisted.
- All lap belts must be carried low so that the child’s pelvis is properly supported.
- Buckles must be done up properly and securely. In case of emergency, a proper assembly of buckles lets you take the child out of the safety seat easily.
- The device must be replaced if subject to rapid loads during an accident.
- Do not modify the product in any way.
- Avoid situations in which the safety seat is exposed to direct sunlight. Otherwise, it may heat up and in effect cause the child to scald itself.
- Do not leave the child in the safety seat unattended. Make sure the luggage and other items that may lead to injuries in case of an accident have been secured.
- Do not use the safety seat without a material cover. Do not replace the cover with other than recommended by the manufacturer. The cover is an integral part of the safety seat.
12. The safety seat must be used in the car only.
13. It is forbidden to place any items on the child’s safety
14. seat.
15. Hard elements and plastic parts of the child-holding device must be placed and installed in a way that they are not trapped by a movable seat and vehicle door during the regular operation of the vehicle.
16. Before every travel, make sure the safety seat has been properly and securely mounted.
17. During travel, the safety seal must be properly attached to the car’s seat by means of the car safety belt or ISOFIX and Top Tether, even when there is no child.
18. Do not use load-bearing points of contact other than those described in the instructions and marked on the child restraint
19. For rearward facing installation: do not install the child seat on seats with airbags.
20. Install the rearward-facing seat if the child weighs less than 9 kg
21. If in doubt about the position of the adult seat belt buckle in relation to major load-bearing contact points, contact the manufacturer.
CAUTION!
Never use the safety seat with 2-point seat belts.

SAFETY SEAT BELTS
To fasten belts in the safety seat:
- Connect belt clasps together.
- Make sure the connection is proper
- Insert them into the fastening, you will hear a distinctive click.
- Make sure the belts have been properly tightened and are not twisted. To undo the belts, press the red button.
- After undoing the seat belts, you can put them in special hooks located on the side of the seat.
To disassemble the 5-point belts of the safety seat:
- Press the red button and loosen the belts.
- Remove the loose belts from the connectors in the back of the safety seat.
- Take the belts from the safety seat through holes.
- Remove arm pads.
- Roll up shoulder belts and place them in the safety seat holes.
- Loosen the crotch belt, take the buckle located under the safety seat and remove the belt. Pull the crotch belt and pull through the hole.
To assemble the belts again, retake the actions above in reversed order. Make sure the belts have been properly inserted in the buckles and are not twisted.
Safety seat belts tension adjustment
- Make sure the safety seat belts fit tight to the child’s body and are not twisted.
- To tighten the belts, pull the shoulder belts upwards and pull the tension adjustment belt at the same time.
- To loosen the belts and adjust their length, press the button between the child’s legs and pull the shoulder arms. Make sure you pull the belts, not the shoulder pads.
Safety seat belts height adjustment
- A suitable belts height assures increased comfort and safety of your child.
- The height must be adapted in a way that two fingers fit between the child and belts. To adjust the height, loosen the belts and remove them from the buckles in the back of the safety seat.
- Take the shoulder belts out through the safety seat holes and insert in holes at relevant heights.
- Assemble the belts in buckles again.
REMOVING COVER
- Remove 5-point belts of the safety seat.
- Remove the cover from the base and backrest.
- Set a top position of the headrest.
- Remove the cover. To apply the cover again, retake the aforesaid actions in reversed order.
- NOTE: Never use the safety seat without the cover.
SAFETY SEAT INCLINATION
- To incline the safety seat, grab the handle located between the safety seat and base, and set in a required position.
- To adjust the lying position, press the rotation button, turn the safety seat by 180° and then set the lying position of the backrest.
SAFETY SEAT ROTATION
- Before rotating the seat, loosen TopTether
- To rotate the safety seat, press the rotation button and rotate the safety seat.
CAUTION: Before the travel, make sure the safety seat has been locked and cannot rotate on its own.
HEADREST HEIGHT
The headrest must be positioned at a height which assures that shoulder belts are at the height of the child’s shoulders.

To adjust the headrest height, pull the adjustment handle along with the headrest. Adjust the headrest to a higher position: loosen the straps, undo the fastening buckle on the back of the seat (detail 19 in fig. 3)

Rear-facing position with seat belts (group 0+)
- a. Rotate the seat by 90 degrees. Grab the inclination adjustment lever and incline the seat as far as you can (fifth level – „half-lying”). Rotate the seat again so that it is in a rear-facing position.
- b. Position the child safety seat on the car seat in a rear-facing position.
- c. Pull the seat belt and carry the shoulder part at the back of the child safety seat. The belt must go through the part between the headrest and the backrest (fig. 18).
- d. Carry the hip part of the seat belt through the guide in the child safety seat (marked as 15 in Fig. 3) and then under the seat liner (fig. 18).
- e. Fasten the belts. Press the child safety seat against the car seat. Tighten the belt as shown by arrows in figure 18.
- f. Move the child safety seat to check if it has been securely fixed. If the product fixing is unstable, adjust the belt tension.
- g. Put the child in the child safety seat and fasten its safety belts.
Rear-facing position with ISOFIX and TOP TETHER (groups 0+, I)
- a. Rotate the seat by 90 degrees. Grab the inclination adjustment lever and incline the seat as far as possible (fifth level – „half-lying”). Rotate the seat again so that it is in a rear-facing position
- b. If necessary, put ISOFIX covers on ISOFIX connectors in the car. They help you stick ISOFIX fasteners when the car connectors are hard to access
- C. Position the child safety seat on the car seat in a rear-facing position.
- d. Press the ISOFIX button to pull out both ISOFIX arms. Grab the child safety seat and slide two ISOFIX arms into fasteners located in the car seat until they engage and you can hear a distinctive „click” (fig. 19).
- e. Push the child safety seat against the car seat as far as you can. The marker on both sides of the ISOFIX arms should turn from red to green.
- f. Pull out the TOP TETHER fixing belt and unroll it with the use of an adjustment device (fig. 20).
- g. Fasten the TOP TETHER belt in the spot recommended in the vehicle manual. The upper belt fastening spot may differ, depending on the car model (fig. 21). Tighten the TOP TETHER fixing belt so that a green marker shows up on the buckle.
- h. Put the child in the child’s safety seat and secure it with its safety belts.
Forward-facing position with seat belts or seat belts and ISOFIX connectors (group I) ISOFIX (optional)
- a. If necessary, put ISOFIX covers on ISOFIX connectors in the car. They help you stick ISOFIX fasteners when car connectors are hard to access.
- b. Position the child safety seat on the car seat in a forward-facing position.
- c. Press the ISOFIX button to pull out both ISOFIX arms. Grab the child safety seat and slide both ISOFIX arms into fasteners located in the car seat until arms engage and you can hear a distinctive „click” (fig. 22).
- d. Push the child safety seat against the car seat as far as you can. The marker on both sides of the ISOFIX arms should turn from red to green.
CAR SEATS (required)
- make sure this belt goes behind the headrest, under the seat liner, just by the child safety seat backrest
- make sure this belt goes under the seat liner.
- a. Position the child safety seat on the car seat in a forward-facing position.
- b. Pull the car seat and carry its shoulder part between the headrest and backrest of the child safety seat (fig. 23).
- c. Carry the hip part of the car seat along the child safety seat backrest and then through the guide (marked as 15 in fig. 3) (fig. 23).
- d. Fasten the belts. Press the child safety seat against the car seat. Tighten the belts as shown by arrows in Figure 23.
- e. Move the child safety seat to check if it has been securely fixed. If fixing of the child safety seat is unstable, adjust the belt tension.
- f. Put the child in the child’s safety seat and secure it with its safety belts.
Forward-facing position with seat belts or seat belts and ISOFIX connectors
or seat belts, ISOFIX connectors and TOP TETHER (groups II, III)
Important: for this group disassemble 5-point safety belts. The child
must be secured with car seat belt.
ISOFIX (optional)
- a. If necessary, put ISOFIX covers on ISOFIX connectors in the car. They help you stick ISOFIX fasteners when car connectors are hard to access.
- b. Position the child safety seat on the car seat in a forward- facing position.
- C. Press the ISOFIX button to pull out both ISOFIX arms. Grab the child safety seat and slide two ISOFIX arms into fasteners located in the car seat until they engage and you can hear a distinctive „click”.
- d. Push the child safety seat against the car seat as far as you can. The marker on both sides of ISOFIX arms should turn from red into green (fig. 24a).
TOP TETHER (optional)
- a. Pull out the TOP TETHER fixing belt and unroll it with the use of an adjustment device (fig. 24a).
- b. Fasten TOP TETHER in the spot recommended in the vehicle manual. The upper belt fastening spot may differ, depending on the car model (the example of the location of fastening spots has been showing in the example of group 0+ in Fig. 21).
- c. Fasten TOP TETHER fixing belt so that a green indicator shows up on the buckle
CAR SEAT BELTS (required)
- a. Position the child safety seat on the car seat in a forward-facing position.
- b. Put the child in the child’s safety seat.
- c. Pull the car seat belt and carry its shoulder part through the belt guide in the headrest (element marked as 1 in Fig. 3).
- d. Carry the hip part of the car seat belt through the guide (marked as 15 in Fig. 3) (fig. 24b).
- e. Fasten the belts. Press the child safety seat against the car seat. Tighten the belts as shown by arrows in Figure 24b.
- f. Make sure they are not too tight and do not limit the child. Move the child safety seat to check it is has been securely fixed. If fixing of the product is unstable, adjust the belt tension.
Make sure the shoulder belt goes between points marked in fig. 24B as a and b, that is between the child’s neck and arm
HOOD ASSEMBLY
- Pull the hood over the headrest of the seat
- Hook the mounting bands on the plastic element of the headrest, as in the picture below.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Check for any damage to the safety seat on a regular basis. In case of any irregularities, replace the safety seat immediately.
- Make sure the safety seat is not exposed to direct sunlight.
- Covers may be cleaned in warm water with a soap or a soft detergent. Do not dry the covers in the sun.
- Clean a clasp, safety seat belts, and plastic elements with warm water. Do not use any detergents.
- The pictures are for reference only. The real design of the products may differ from the pictures presented.
- The product has been tested and meets all the requirements of the: ECE R44.04
MORE INFORMATION
Warranty conditions
- The Lionelo brand with its registered office at A. Kreglewskiego 1, 61-248 Poznan, Poland guarantees that the equipment is operational in accordance with the technical-operating conditions described in the manual.
- The warranty is granted for a 60-month period from the date of sale. If the Buyer is a company (VAT invoice), the warranty is granted for a 12-month period.
- The warranty is valid in the country of purchase.
- Revealed manufacturing defects shall be removed during the warranty period free of charge by the Authorised Manufacturer Service.
- Any defects or damages discovered and reported within the warranty period will be removed free of charge within 21 working days, but in justifiable cases (for instance, spare parts must be brought from abroad) this period may be extended by another 30 days.
- Any defects or damages to the equipment should be reported and delivered to the service site immediately after being revealed.
- Accessories included with the devices are under a 3-month warranty from the date of purchase.
- In case of an unjustified complaint (a complaint of an efficient product or a mechanically damaged one), the person who reports a complaint shall be charged for transportation costs.
- The Customer is entitled to the replacement of the product with another with the same or similar specifications (and) colors if the Service determines that the removal of defects is not possible.
- The service is not responsible for any loss of data.
- The warranty will be respected only if the customer attaches (to the faulty device) a damage description, all of the accessories received at the moment of the equipment purchase, and proof of purchase containing the date of sale.
- The warranty does not cover natural wear of the product related to its normal operation, damage resulting from improper usage or non-compliance with the instructions described in the manual, tears or cracks caused by the Customer, fading of fabric resulting from prolonged exposure to sunlight or washing the product or its parts in the wrong temperature, mechanical, electrical, thermal and intentional damages and defects caused by them, as well as damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs.
- The Service may refuse to repair products in case of any traces of unauthorized repair.
- If the fault is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, paid repair may be offered by the Service.
- Neither the Manufacturer nor the Authorised Service is responsible for any damages or losses arising from the inability to use the device that is being repaired.
- The product that has not been collected from the service site within 3 months can be charged with storage costs appropriate to the storage time.
- Delivery of a product that is incomplete or lacks proper packaging is equivalent to the failure of the warranty conditions by the Buyer, and it can provide a basis to the refusal of the repair or extension of the repair period.
- In the case of sending the product for repair, when no defect is found, the expenses for the expert assessment shall be fully borne by the consumer.
- If the product (sent for repair) works properly, and the reason for its invalid operation is, for instance, a low battery, the Consumer shall bear the cost of the expert assessment.
- The product warranty shall not exclude, limit, or suspend the Customer rights resulting from the guarantee.
- Only clean products in original or replacement packaging can be reclaimed.
