NOTICE
Before putting the new appliance into operation, we recommend leaving it
assembled and switched on without fruit for about 30 minutes. Then, for
hygienic reasons, wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and wash
the drying sieves in warm water. When using the dehydrator for the first time,
the smoke or odour produced during this process is normal. Ensure adequate
ventilation.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The appliance is designed to dry foods (fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, mushrooms, meat, etc.). Water evaporates during food drying. The appliance uses the principle of an even flow of warm air ensuring that the foods are not burnt and they are dried evenly. If you soak the sliced fruit in a weak solution of lemon juice, it will retain its light colour and will not turn brown. Hard vegetables (carrots, celery) can be immersed in hot water for 1-2 minutes before drying and then dried. This will help to retain its taste and drying will take less time.
-
Only put clean foods into the trays – do not overload the trays and never overlap them. Close the door.
-
Plug it into the socket. The fruit dryer will beep once and the on/off button will light up.
-
Press the on/off button and the icon display will light up.
-
Press the TEMP/TIME button, and the display will flash the temperature.
NOTE: The temperature changes in increments of 5 °C. Press and hold the ▲ or ▼ button to quickly change the temperature. -
Press the start/pause button to confirm the selected program.
NOTE: The time changes in increments of 30 minutes. Press and hold the ▲ or ▼ button to quickly change the time.
NOTE: If you press the START/STOP button again, the fruit dehydrator stops working and after 1 minute switches to standby mode.
NOTE : Optionally, you can change the time and temperature. -
When the timer ends, the display will go off, only the START/STOP button will remain lit and the heater will turn off. The dryer beeps 3 times and the fan will continue until the appliance cools down.
-
When drying is complete, unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
CAUTION: Foods must be sufficiently dried to prevent spoilage!- Properly dried vegetables should be dry and brittle.
- Properly dried fruit should be leathery and flexible.
- Properly dried mushrooms should be leathery to brittle.
- Properly dried herbs should be crumbly
STORAGE
- Store foods only after they have cooled down.
- Foods can be stored for longer if kept in a cool, dry and dark place.
- Remove all air from the storage container and seal it tightly.
- The optimum storage temperature is 15 °C or lower.
- Never store foods directly in a metal container.
- Avoid using containers that do not seal sufficiently.
- Check the contents of the dried foods for moisture within a few weeks after drying. If there is moisture inside, you should dry the contents for a longer period to prevent spoilage.
- For best quality, dried fruit, vegetables, herbs, nuts and bread should not be stored for more than 1 year if kept inthe refrigerator or freezer.
