Product Information

The Windshield Trim with Turn Signals 1367 is designed to fit all ’01-UP GL1800 models. For ’06-UP GL1800 models, theinstallation requires P/N 7300 for plug & play installation. The package includes 1 Windshield Trim with Turn Signals, 1 Hardware Kit, 2 Alcohol Pads, 2 Y Adapter Plugs, and 1 Installation Instructions. Please carefully read and follow all instructions,warnings, cautions, and attention notes provided in the user manual to ensure your safety and the proper use of this product.

Product Usage Instructions

Installation Procedure

1. Read and understand all steps in the instructions before starting the installation. Park the motorcycle on a hard, level surface, turn off the ignition, and allow the engine to cool.
2. Behind the mirror boot, locate the wiring harness with plugs. If needed, move the mirror to gain access to behind the mirror housing.
3. Separate the plugs and connect the supplied Y Adapters between the stock plugs. Refer to PIC 1 for visual reference.
4. Test fit the accent to the fairing and mark the position of best fit with masking tape to aid in final installation. Ensure that the windshield is locked into position and that the Windshield Trim wiring is routed out the side as shown in PIC 2.
5. Clean the mounting area using warm water and a mild soap to remove all surface contaminants. Rinse the area and dry completely. Use the supplied alcohol pads to further clean the area and allow it to dry. Ensure that the mounting surface is free of all contaminants including any wax/polish products and bugs.
6. Rub the adhesive backing on the Windshield Trim to activate the adhesive. Remove the adhesive backing and apply the Windshield Trim to the fairing using the markings from Step 4 as a guide. Ensure that the Windshield Trim wiring is routed out the side of the Windshield Trim as shown in PIC 2.
7. Press and hold the Windshield Trim in place for one minute. Full bonding strength will occur in 24 hours.

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

• STEP 1 Read and understand all steps in the instructions before starting the installation. Park the motorcycle on a hard, level surface; turn off the ignition and allow the engine to cool.

• STEP 2 Behind the mirror boot, locate the wiring harness with plugs.
  NOTE It may be helpful to move the mirror to gain access to behind the mirror housing.

• STEP 3 Separate the plugs and connect the supplied Y-Adapters between the stock plugs. (PIC 1)

• STEP 4 Test fit the accent to the fairing, mark the position of best fit with masking tape to aid in final installation.
  NOTE Make sure that the windshield is locked in to position
  ATTENTION! The adhesive will not bond correctly if applied at temperatures less than 50°F. Do not attempt this installation in temperatures less than 50°F. |
  NOTE Make sure that the Windshield Trim wiring is routed out the side as shown in PIC 2.

• STEP 5 Clean the mounting area. If the area is extremely dirty, clean with warm water and a mild soap making sure to remove all surface contaminants. Rinse the area and dry completely. Continue to clean the area with the supplied alcohol pads and allow the surface to dry.
  NOTE Be sure that the mounitng surface is free of all contaminants including any wax/polish
  products and bugs.
  ATTENTION! Ensure the area of installation is free of grease, oil, dirt or other debris to ensure proper adhesion. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any parts lost due to improper installation.

• STEP 5 Clean the mounting area. If the area is extremely dirty, clean with warm water and a mild soap making sure to remove all surface contaminants. Rinse the area and dry completely. Continue to clean the area with the supplied alcohol pads and allow the surface to dry.
  NOTE Be sure that the mounitng surface is free of all contaminants including any wax/polish
  products and bugs.

• STEP 6 Rub the adhesive backing on the Windshield Trim to activate the adhesive. Remove the adhesive backing and apply the Windshield Trim to the fairing using the markings from Step 4 as a guide.
  NOTE Make sure that the Windshield Trim wiring is routed out the side of the Windshield Trim as shown in PIC 2.

• STEP 7 Press and hold the Windshield Trim in place for one minute, full bonding strength will occur in 24 hours.

• STEP 8 Connect the Windshield Trim wiring to the Y-Adapters that were installed in Step 3.
  NOTE It does not matter which of the connectors the Windshield Trim is connected to. STEP 9 Test the function of the Windshield Trim turn signals.
  STEP 10 Readjust the mirror and reinstall the mirror boot over the wiring. The windshield trim should sit over the mirror boot (PIC 3).
  FOR 2006-LATER GL1800 MODELS
  STEP 1 Follow all steps above regarding windshield trim installation, after following the steps required by the p/n 7300 Y-adapter instructions

LIMITED WARRANTY

Küryakyn warrants that any Küryakyn products sold hereunder, shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the consumer excepting the following provisions:

• Küryakyn shall have no obligation in the event the customer is unable to provide a receipt showing the date the customer purchased the product(s).
• The product must be properly installed, maintained and operated under normal conditions.
• Küryakyn makes no warranty, expressed or implied, with respect to any gold plated products.
• Küryakyn shall not be liable for any consequential and incidental damages, including labor and paint, resulting from failure of a Küryakyn product, failure to deliver, delay in delivery, delivery in nonconforming condition, or for any breech of contract or duty between Küryakyn and a customer.
• Küryakyn products are often intended for use in specifc applications. Küryakyn makes no warranty if a Küryakyn product is used in applications other than intended.
• Küryakyn electrical products are warranted for one (1) year from the date of purchase by the consumer. Components of Küryakyn products containing L.E.D.s will be warranted for defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase.
• Küryakyn makes no warranty of any kind in regard to other manufacturer’s products distributed by Küryakyn. Küryakyn will pass on all warranties made by the manufacturer and where possible, will expedite the claim on behalf of the customer, but ultimately, responsibility for disposition of the warranty claim lies with the manufacturer.
