Installation Instructions
Preparing for Installation (Fig. 1)
-
Shut off power at the fuse box or circuit breaker box and remove the old fixture, including the mounting hardware.
-
Unpack the new fixture and lay out all the parts in a clear area, taking care not to misplace any small parts necessary for installation.
-
Attach the mounting plate (B) to the outlet box (A) using the provided outlet box screws (D). Make sure the side of the mounting plate marked GND faces out.
Connecting the Wires (Fig. 2) -
Connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig. 2, ensuring that all wire connectors (E) are secured. If your outlet box (A) has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the circular strap (B) using the provided green screw (C).
-
Tuck the wire connectors neatly into the outlet box (A).
Completing the Installation (Fig. 1) -
Place the back plate (F) over the mounting screws (J), followed by the rubber gasket (G), and secure them to the wall using the cap nuts (H).
-
Install one medium base bulb (I) up to 100 Watts, or CFL or LED equivalent (not included), according to the fixture specification. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
-
To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box (A) and causing a short, use clear silicone sealant to outline the outside of the fixture back plate (F) where it meets the wall, leaving a space at the bottom to allow moisture to escape.
Your installation is now complete. Return power to the outlet box and test the fixture.
Caution: Risk of fire. Consult a qualified electrician to ensure correct branch circuit conductor.
