Overview

Before first use, the batteries have to be charged for at least 14 hours. Only use the original batteries.

Please make sure that the »line of sight« between your transmitter and receiver is not obstructed.

Volume adjustment of the receiver
There is no ON/OFF switch.
The receiver automatically switches on when worn.
Instruction

If the sound quality of the receiver becomes noisy and distorted the battery should be exchanged by a loaded one.
Warning: do not force the battery into the charger or receiver. It Fts easily when inserted correctly.

How to get the most out of your rechargeable batteries
Please make sure that the batteries are used on a regular basis. Constant recharging of the batteries will shorten their service life.

Operating principle
The RCI-102 two-channel infrared stethoscope receiver can receive signals that are sent at an operating frequency of 2.3 MHz and 2.8 MHz, e.g. the InfraLight DIR or other systems that send signals at 2.3 MHz and 2.8 MHz.

Stereo switch/2.3 MHz/2.8 MHz
There is a switch on the back of the device, which can be used to select the desired reception frequency. Switch position:

Centre: Operating frequency 2.3 + 2.8 MHz (Stereo reception)
Left: Operating frequency 2.3 MHz (mono reception both sides)
Right: Operating frequency 2.8 MHz (mono reception both sides)

Cleaning the hygienic covers
The soft silicone earpieces should always be kept clean. If they need to be replaced, please use the silicone earpieces available as a special accessory for DIR receivers (Order No. A-4985-0).

Using the transparent cover of the volume control:
Remove the silicone cover and replace it with the transparent cover

The transparent cover has the following protective functions:

a) It prevents any unintentional changes in the volume level,
b) it protects dust and liquids from coming into contact with the volume control.

Please note the following information:
Instruction

If the system needs cleaning ONLY use a soft damp cloth. If the ear pieces become damaged they should be replaced.
The product warranty does not cover normal wear or damage resulting from misuse, neglect, improper storage, accident, unauthorised repair or alteration.

Important Notice: This product is not protected against splash water. Do not place any  containers filled with water, such as flower vases, or anything with anopen flame, such as a lit candle, on or near the product.

Warranty

The receiver RCI 102 is a very reliable product. Should a malfunction occur despite the unit having been set up and operated correctly, please contact your dealer or the manufacturer directly.
This warranty covers the repair of the product and returning it to you free of charge. It is essential that you send in the product in its original packaging, so do not throw the packaging away. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by incorrect handling or attempts to repair the unit by people not authorised to do so (destruction of the seal on the unit).
Repairs will only be carried out under warranty if the completed warranty card is returned accompanied by a copy of the dealer’s invoice/till receipt.
Always specify the product number in any event.

Disposal of used electric and electronic units (applicable in the countries of the European Union and other European countries with a separate collection system). The symbol on the product or the packaging indicates that this product is not to be handled as ordinary household waste but has to be returned to a collecting point for the recycling of electric and electronic units. You protect the environment and health of your fellow men by the correct disposal of this products. Environment and health are endangered by a faulty disposal. Material recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw material. You will receive further information on the recycling of this product from your local community, your communal disposal company or your local dealer.
