Function

The »signolux plug-in receiver« is a receiver for the signals of the various »signolux« transmitters and indicates these as visible flashing light signals.
6 indicator LEDs with symbols help to distinguish the signal source.

Signals and controls

Indicator-LEDs:
The 6 indicator-LEDs help to distinguish between the various signal sources. They light up for 40 seconds after an incoming signal.
Transmitter battery status in-dicator:
The receiver informs about the state of the batteries of the transmitters:

  • A low battery level of a transmitter is indicated by the red control lamp shining together with the symbol of the according transmitter when it’s signal is triggered.
Please replace the batteries of the according transmitter as soon as possible.

Function button:
When the »signolux plug-in receiver« is flashing, you can cancel the signal by pressing the function button.
Press it again to recall the last received signal.
The function button is also used to program the receiver (see section 2 „Programming signals“).

Delete button:
This button serves to remove transmitters assigned to an indicator symbol (see section 3 „Deleting transmitters from receiver memory“).

Setting up the system

  1. Connect the device
Plug the »signolux plug-in recei-ver« into a well visible mains socket.
The indicator LEDs light up once and the device is ready to use.
The »signolux plug-in receiver« is not waterproof. Therefore it is not advisable to use it in the open.

  2. Programming signals and assignment to the symbols
A transmitter (e.g. doorbell push-button) can be assigned to each symbol. This assignment can be adapted by programming. Up to 8 transmitters can be as- signed to each symbol. Please keep in mind that a transmitter can only be assigned if it is not yet known in the memory of the  signolux plug-in receiver«. If re-quired, you might first have to delete the transmitter from the memory (see section 3.)

  3. Keep the function button pressed for some time. The symbols begin to light up in sequence. Let go of the fun-ction button as soon as the desired symbol is lit. (e. g. doorbell symbol)

  4. Trigger the signal of the transmitter you want to as-sign to the lit up symbol. (e.g. operate the doorbell button).

  5. Wait for about 20 seconds and test the function.

  6. Deleting transmitters from receiver memory
If you wish to remove the transmit-ters assigned to a symbol from the receiver memory:

  7. Keep the function button pressed for a few seconds. The symbols begin to light up in sequence. Let go of the function button as soon as the desired symbol is lit.
Now press the function but-ton and the delete button at the same time. All symbols will briefly light up.
Please note that this will dele-te all transmitters assigned to the according symbol.

Checking the last signal, can-celling the current signal
By pressing the function button, the last registered signal can be displayed again.
You can also cancel a signal that was just activated by pressing this button.

Special accessories

The following modules (not included) can be plugged into to the AUX output connector:

  • Vibrating pillow (A-3303-0)
  • Flash module MF-1 (A-3320-0)
  • Acoustic module MA-1 (A-3340-0)

Transmission range

The signal range of the »signolux« transmitters can be up to 200 metres under ideal conditions. The following conditions may result in a reduced range:

  • Buildings or vegetation.
  • Interference from TVs, computer monitors and mobile phones. Under certain circumstances, this may prevent the receiver from functioning at all.
  • Positioning of the transmitter at an unfavorable distance from surfaces which reflect radio waves, for example floors and walls. This may lead to the signal wave being weakened or even cancelled out by the reflected wave.
  • Metallic objects reduce the range due to the shielding effect of the metal.
  • Particularly in towns and cities, there may be many other sources of radio waves which can dis rupt the original signal.
  • Having units operating at similar frequencies located close to one another may also result in mutual interference.
