Thank you for purchasing the charger for the portable Humantechnik receivers. We hope it will serve you for a long time to come. Please read this manual. It will tell you how to set up the system correctly and explain all the features.

Package contents

Please check if the following parts are included:

  • Charger
  • 2 x NiMH rechargeable batteries (Type AAA)
  • Power supply unit
  • User manual
  • Warranty card

If any parts are missing, please immediately contact your dealer or the manufacturer directly.

How to Start

  1. Please first remove the batteries from the receiver and replace them with the rechargeable batteries included with the charger.
  2. Connect the charger with the power supply by inserting the round plug into the DC jack on the back of the charger.
  3. Plug the power supply into a power outlet. LED 2 lights up in green, indicating that the charger is functioning.

Rechargeable batteries

The charger comes with 2 NiMH rechargeable batteries. If the rechargeable batteries are properly charged and discharged, they will have a long service life.
Please make sure that the batteries are inserted correctly in the battery compartment of the portable receiver. The illustration on the bottom of the battery compartment indicates the correct direction.
Please note that the rechargeable batteries are not charged on delivery and must be completely charged (at least 10 hours) in the portable receiver in the charger first.
To recharge your portable receiver, please use only the rechargeable batteries included with the charger or the rechargeable replacement batteries (A-4966-0).

Charging the pager

Insert the pager in the charging bay. LED 2 will light up red when the pager is inserted. An LED on the pager indicates when it is fully charged.
LED 2 remains red as long as there is a pager present.
Sockets for vibrating pads and modules
There are two connector sockets marked VIB on the back of the recharging base. It is possible to connect up to two vibrating pads or other Humantechnik modules with the base.
When the portable receiver is placed in the charging dock, any incoming signal will be relayed to the connected accessories, which will then react accordingly.
Please note that the receiver must be switched on and it has to be in the charging dock to enable this function.

Backup power
The charger base is equipped with an inbuilt backup battery which will charge when the charger base is powered and which will provide backup power to the charger base in the case of a power grid blackout. This ensures the function of any connected vibrating pad in such cases. LED 1 indicates the status of the internal backup battery. (red: charging / green: charged)
